Hi Mums, just found out I'm about 6 weeks pregnant so looking for Doctor recommendations please. I was planning on seeing Dr Elsa but her receptionist just told me that her new clinic is pay & claim for all appointments and I prefer direct billing..especially with health insurance in dubai, they will get out of paying anything if they can! So back the the drawing board for me, I would like a female doctor that is pro natural delivery. Looking forward to hearing your recommendations please, thanks Rate it00 Dr Christian Joze at Health bay clinic, he is amazing and the clinic take almost every insurance.

I am 30 and never thought of having any children. I feel I am not the mother material and can't take responsibility of raising children etc. All the ladies of my age in my circle are going crazy to conceive, or so badly want to have at least 1 baby. I just wonder if there would be a time that I would regret my decision? By then I will already be physically incapable of giving birth. Are there any ladies who took decision of not having babies and are happy in old age? Jeez, smartee...you need to chill out and dont worry about it, you have plenty of time. When I was 30, I just moved here and I was enjoying the single life, dating and partying. I decide I just wanted dogs, I did not want a husband or children. Then a year later I met my husband...was not looking for anyone, I fell totally head over heels and suddenly then I starting think, ok I think I want a baby with this guy. So, I really think you should just not worry about it right now....I now have two kids who I love v much but drive me crazy most of the time and would love to be single again sometimes. Trust me, what will be, will be. Dont be a people pleaser, you do what you want to do. There so many things you can enjoy in life without kids...like your money...holiday...the list goes on. I have plenty of friend here in there 40s who did not have kids...

Hi Ladies, I wonder if you have any advice. My DS is 2 years 10 months- i started potty training him 6 weeks ago and he is now doing all his wees in the potty/toilet. However he will only poop in the potty if he has no pants on- if he has pants on he will just poop in them. I have tried star chart, rewards, explaining, bribing but nothing works... it doesnt bother him at all when goes in his pants he will just wait until we change him. he is at nursery full time and will starts FS1 at school in september and im starting to worry that he will still be popping in his pants. any advice appreciated? thanks Something that my daughter loved...was we showed her that if there is food colouring in the toilet or potty the poo will change colour....I think blue made her poo go green and red went purple...maybe this will get him wanting to use the potty instead...

I feel more comfortable with females if u know any. Thanks! I have seen many here and absolutely the best is Dr Christian Joze at Health bay clinic is very nice but also very straight and honest which I found others were not. Many of my friend see him too

Does anyone know what kind of salary is being paid to Doctors in Dubai? What is an AVERAGE cost of living for one person per month there? Sadly, it depends on your nationality. I know British GPs here can earn 35-50k a month, if you work on commission you normally get 10k basic and then 35% on what you earn. Specialist obviously get more. I know a Greek doctor here who only earns 25k a month. It really varies so much.

I am not married yet, but have been paying into a pension since I arrived in Dubai, a Friends Provident policy. I also have a UK pension, also with FP - but that is frozen. I would agree with your friend, if you an afford it - get one. I have been independent for so long, I like to be able to stand on now 2 feet financially as much as I can. If you decide not to, make sure he is paying enough into to cover you both your retirement age. Thanks, yes I am going to do it. I do work but don't earn a lot. If you dont mind me asking, how much do pay per month?

Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist who can help me to get rid of eczema on my face (location-wise, ideally near/not far from Dubai Marina as I have a 7 wk-old baby to carry along). The one I checked randomly at Medcare in JBR could not help me to get rid of it. Dr Fiona at Dr Nicolas & asp, in marina. i have not see her myself but heard she is good

Hi all, I recently came back from a little mini vacation after leaving my dog at a kennel in Dubai but just couldn't shake the guilt feeling while I was away! I didn't like leaving him, I didn't like how he was returned and quite frankly (despite my husband calling me obsessed with my pup) I just don't trust these kennels to look after small dogs like I would! Soooo, I am looking for people who adore their little dogs as much as me and who would be open to being each other's dog sitters for any vacations. I live in the marina and have a 4 month old Chihuahua. I hope there are like minded dog lovers out there who feel the same. :) Hi, Lottie. I feel the same whenever we have to leave our dog but not sure if he would get on with a chihuahua. I have a big dog 11mnths, he is super friendly, playful, loads of energy and just a big softies really. We are in Arabian ranches so maybe too far also, but definitely as great idea.

Supportseekers.info is a new online support group for people who need emotional health advice. This info was given to me by my son's school psychologist, since there's a forum for adults as well as adolescents. Professional psychologists answer all posts, in addition to members giving each other feedback. It's free, and a helpful service to the community. Good for people who may not be able to afford a visit to a psychologist. Thanks for sharing, I will pass it on,

OMG - so basically 3 hunting/working breeds all rolled into one! That is going to take some occupying. Have you got any brain training toys? Like the Kongs you put kibble in that they have to roll about to get the biscuits out? My last dog was a GSD X Collie and she need stimulation pretty much all the time or she would wreck everything. You need to keep his brain active and wear him out mentally. Yes, we have lots of kong toys for him, I spend so much money on him. I bury bones and treats in the garden for him to dig up and that keeps him occupied for a short time. We have to watch him consistently. He has been neutered so hopefully this wont last forever..

Well how about some dog training? Spraying your stuff with other stuff isn't solving the problem. You need to go to the root cause. Why is your dog destroying stuff? The majority of dogs are destructive because they're bored. They're not getting enough physical and mental stimulus to keep them occupied or tire them out. edited by FairyDust on 17/02/2015 This guy is seriously energetic, he gets taken for 3 long walks everyday and goes to dog day care three times a week.....he is only 10mnths old and i know from previous experience pups are like this when they young...but he is possibly the nastiest I have had. I love him to bits though

Rosie, go and see Dr Safar. The other thing which I'd strongly suggest is go to a proper eye hospital/clinic. Not a laser clinic. This is for a lazy eye, which I have had treated before, they inject botox into the muscle in the eye. I need some that can do this and that is very good. i know Claire was highly recommended for this before....

We were at Time square a few days ago when after lunch we went off to the bathroom as usual. I have two boys 6 & 8 yrs who always accompany me to the ladies toilets. I went to one cubicle while the boys want to another. I was so shocked when this lady( local) maybe in her late twenties/ thirties pulled me up for taking the boys into the ladies. She says to me " you cannot bring your boys in here" why ? I replied.... You just cannot she said back to me.... The cleaning ladies took her side of course. I let her know the boys were only 6 and 8. I was so annoyed and complained to the nice phillopeana ladies at customer service - who sympathised with me but basically said not to get into an argument with a local. I have heard of this happening before but didn't believe it... Anyone come across it ? I have been in dubai now for several years as it happens. Thats so wrong, I would not want my son going into a mens toilet on his own and he is 9. There are all sorts of weirdos here and perverts. Really, what exactly was she worried about them seeing, its not like the ladies use the toilets here with the doors wide open so they can catch an eyeful. good thing you complained...

Scientists say confining meals to a 12 hour window, such as 8am to 8pm, and fasting for the remaining day, appears to make a huge difference to whether fat is stored, or burned up by the body. Mice restricted to food for 12 hours a day lost a quarter of their body weight regardless of whether the diet was healthy or not, those put on the regimen with a healthy diet also gained lean muscles mass. Sounds like its something most people could do without hardship or special meals. Anyone tried it? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/dietandfitness/11268685/Eat-within-12-hour-window-to-lose-weight-say-scientists.html So, how does this work? can you fast for the 12hrs while you sleeping??
