I agree with the salon! leave your kids at home or book for home services. First of all it is dangerous with the chemical smells in the air and sharp objects around . I go to the salon even for relax , not only treatments. We have to listen all ladies talking on the mobiles ( how it was possible to survive before the mobile's era? :( ) and we should listen also crying kids? Better to stay at home! This is the main reason I'm no longer going to Beauty Connection: too many clients all together and talking on the mobile, too many staff all together and talking each others, NO RELAX AT ALL...:angry:

my maid full time live in, wakes up at 7,30, clean 2 cars and then she has 1 hr rest; then she cleans the house, at 12,30 she has lunch and sleep until 5,00 pm; OFF on Fridays and holidays;no pets, no children! in the afternoon 1 hr to clean outside area then...ironing ...when necessary...then watching television ....reading, talking on the mobile... we are not having lunch at home, dinner at home 2-3 days only per week; before I was giving salary and buying for her food+toiletry but as we are never at home and I'm going few times in a month to supermarket, then I've increased salary with food/toiletry allowance and I told her to buy want she needs. and she is not happy! 6 years with my Indonesian maid with no problems ...with this one ( Philippino)...I'm only waiting that contract expires...

I agree with many of you....especially if you have kids....better a villa even with small garden!!!and in saheel you can find also many villas with private pool....otherwise the pool/play area....the supermarkets, the restaurants... all is perfect!for me much better than MC...

it's sad but this is - as usual - because some pets' owners are not cleaning after them... or they send the maid/houseboy to walk them....and they don't care/don't like to clean poo, even because they are very very busy on the phone.... We have been there during week end and saw many many "nice gifts" forgotten on the path Because of few bad ...many good have to pay!

my previous maid did the same....all of sudden the husband came...and then after a while she was insisting to have her husband in the accomodation , I said not because I've daughter and I didn't want him going around when I was at work; she said only once a week I said not, she was unhappy, crying and working very bad; finally I said ok once a week because Fridays I'm at home and then after a month she asked to have also her brother in law in the accomodation ; I said NOT !!!! the she started asking to have her husband in the accomodation twice a week...maam only twice a week ...!!! He finally got job in Sharjah with accomodation but she was not happy and then...when she started again ..asking to have him in the accomodation...( I think he resigned) I told her to go with him somewhere else...I cancelled her visa and I hired indonesian single maid!

Sohar is in Oman thus the driver has to be able to get visa at the Oman border...I don't think taxi drivers can easily get it... but there are buses from Dubai to Muscat, you can stop in Sohar http://www.visiting-dubai.com/2008/10/buses-from-dubai-to-muscat-oman.html

Hi my experience with Aloe vera gel is really good. Bec it contains enzymes and chromium picollinate compound that helps reduce blood sugar levels. But not all aloes are the same. I take the brand of Forever Living Products - they call it STABILIZED GEL to make sure it is a LIVE juice. Aloe is very sensitive so must be stabilized to maintain its nutrients. If anybody wants, I know where to get this product. thanks for this good info. please tell me where we can buy the gel...I want to try and see if reduces my blood sugar level. TIA

I don't work for EMAAR - i just don't think that people have the right to use services that have not been paid for. I agree with you....this is the same problem happened last year in Palm to Marina Residence buildings....when LL have not paid fee and tenants found nice "empty pool", or to Shoreline where access to the beach club has been closed because LL's were not paying service fee.... I'm not working for Nakheel!!! please don't say that. !!!!! It' s always like this...for everything!!! ALL are punished when it is only a few who have defaulted , like people don't cleaning after their dog's...( often ONLY in the hands of maids...) forcing the developpers to ban pets from compounds!!!! .

ok Derien....may be.... but - if so - why they are not telling parents when enrolling children in the Nurseries that automatic passage in the KG or school ( of same group) is not guaranteed because of " healthy selection" ? why a child has to change schoolfriends after a year because has been "imposed" by the school and not by his choice..or parents' choice... No healthy selection in the nursery? Of course...they needed to fill the nursery...and now they don't care! " use it...then throw it away!" The child has been just admitted in the nursery a year back...in my opinion this is a gross injustice and abuse by the school!!!

If you're right....they should apply the same concept even when enrolling children in their nurseries...considering this child is attending Raffles Nursery ( same group...same owners...same place where money goes...)
