I tried this salon, when I bought the Cobone vouchers for a wash and blow dry. So far I have been there 4 times for wash and blowdry and have liked them. I've only ever seen 2 male hairdressers there...but the staff seem nice, place is clean and bright. I dont know what their prices are like as im still using the cobone vouchers ... but I hope they are not too expernsive , and then I intend on staying put there!

I wish the empty plots that they tend to use as the dumping ground for the building materials could get converted into parks... Nicely paved pavements lined with trees and seasonal flowers could be a big relief.. They could make it another version of Greens. Would be really nice. Cheeky.. many beauty salons?? I just know of only two. One is in the mashael building and the other one is in the building that houses the subway...Where are the other salons? Chiggwiggy whats the one on subway building called?

Haven't read all the replies... however whenever we are in this situation (I have 2 kids) I always check first if I can bring the sibling. Most almost always have said yes. Because I dont have no where to leave the other one or with anyone. On the one occassion I was told I cannot, I simply explained to the one that was invited I cant take him, as I cant bring the little one and he was fine about it...

@ So Indecisive Are you selling the headboard? If so, I'd be interested. We have a double bed (140 x 200) and need a headboard basically to cover up some sockets so DS can't get into them. If you're selling then please can you send me the details to [email protected]? TIA hiya, just seen this now and will reply to you now..

children are strange... my son, even before we came to Dubai, had an american accent somedays, or with some words, welsh accent for some words, brummie for other words, and even south african accent!! We were in London and then Northampton in the UK ... so god knows where he got these accents... we blamed the tv he watched, spiderman for the american accent etc ... When we arrived in Dubai - all of a sudden he developed this really posh english accent, I thought where on earth are u getting that from, when ur mother is from "saaafff london!! " and supports a cockney accent! lol I would say unless the teacher is seriously pronouncing words incorrectly and are not understood by the child well, then move her with another teacher..

There have been a few occassions something has happened and I didnt tell my parents...and for sure would want my children to tell me - Period! 1. One time my friends and I decided to go to a park, a bit further out then our local park, which we were allowed to go to. We were 11 at the time. Anyway, it started off normal playing in the park on the frames and swings etc and then we noticed a man seemingly "watching" us from a distance...and we started having an active imagination that he's some weirdo watching us... turnd out the imaginative game, was actually true. He HAD been watching us and then followed us as we walked around the "country Park" any way it ended with him making conversation with us, and kinda walking with us and then out of the blue pulling out a knife on us!!! we were scared sh.it and he pushed one of my friends down who was wearing a very short mini skirt and he was trying to put hi hands up her and she was sobbing and me and my other friend started crying and then he came to me , as if to comfort me, but i still remember the knife in his hand was against my waist - I was VERY SCARED ...thought he may stab me... and then luckily some people were coming along the path where we were, we couldnt see them, but could hear them , and he let us go and ran off.. we were crying and when the ladies walked near us we Told them what had happened - they told us to go straight home.. we did and NEVER told our parents... we were more afraid of getting told off - for going to the park we were not allowed to , and for not asking permission to go ! 2. One other time, again when I was younger and we went to visit some relatives, very very ditant type but anyway a biggish community village if u like - where every one knew everyone and all i know is that some guy maybe 18-25 a male relative (distant) was holding me, picking me up... I was maybe 7-8ys old...but i do recall i felt he was rubbing me up and down him!! and i felt very uncomfortable and then he let me go but I never told no one!! I dont really know why? maybe cos didnt know then what it was but knew something not ok and maybe not to tell parents? why that was i dont know...my parents were great and supportive and yet i felt i couldnt tell them - maybe i felt it showed im weak and i always wanted to show them , Me at my best? possibly!!!

I Personally had to re-read your first line to make sense of it. It should have read: "The note written below, sent by an English Teacher has annoyed me ... " The note I think reads fine...its a light and jovial approach announcing an event...IMHO.
