Hi blimey, I have accepted the offer from the English college and due to start in the new year. Do you have your DD in FS2, if so, would love to be in contact. Would be great to know someone already on the first day.:)

Hi Lally, Thank you for your views they were really helpful. I've managed to book a visit to see the school but I will have to make my decision then aswell!!! I've heard good things about EC and I've seen that they get good results. I'm still however in two minds as to whether I should take my DD out of the current school as she seems to be enjoying it. I looked up last years KHDA report on EC, they seemed to have given recommendations to improve the facilities like sport equipment and toilets and also more time with ICT. I wonder if you have noticed if the school have made these improvements over the year? I've also noticed that Gems schools have a big teacher turnover and wonder if this is also the case with EC? I know that a new teacher has started in the FS2 in EC but wonder if this is the case throughout the primary school? Any opinions on these will be much appreciated.

Hi blimey, thank you so much for your helpful reply. I like the fact that EC has small size classes compared to my daughter's current school. It all sounds a bit more cosy and hands on. I'm glad to know that they have as many facilities as you stated, infact I thought they would have had less. Did they mention anything about how they communicate with parents? Are parents actively involved in their children's education at the school?
I missed the open day as I only got the offer this week Wednesday, I have asked for a tour of the school but they said that they will be busy with KHDA inspections next week.:(
Hi everyone, we just got an offer of a place for FS2 for our daughter to the English College Dubai. If anyone has kids going there or have gone there I would really like to know what the school, teachers and students are like, would you recommend it?? Also what is the traffic like to get to the school, are there any ideal locations to live? My daughter is currently in DSO Gems Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis. We are in two minds at the moment and don't know whether to take up the offer for English College and take our daughter out of her current school. Please Please give us some feedback to help make up our minds.
P.S - there was also an open day at the English College on Sunday 16th Oct, if anyone went could you also please let us know how it was.
