Hubby uses AXA, Im sure insurance is 5% of the value of the car?????? When we renewed last September I asked for a discount and got it.

A friend of mine here is married to a lovely Indian man, and he was mistaken as a houseboy when the gardeners turned up to do some work. They wanted to talk to madam, as houseboy just wouldnt do. They found this very funny. Then the same couple were at a birthday party on 31st December and another guest said he hated Indians etc, my friend who is white then introduced her husband, and the rude guest didnt even batter an eyelid. Sad!!!!

I was at a charity do recently and burned a very expensive looking bag, the owner of it, said oh dont worry I can buy another one, even thou I felt bad, but accidents do happen sometimes. We all know how messy brunches can be, so taking out a 3000dhs bag is abit risky anyway.

My DD is going to take her 2 kids out of school for just 2 weeks so they can come visit us here. As they havent had a family holiday together before. THe kids school isnt the best for understanding this, so DD is going to have to fib alittle to get them here, wrong I know, but its just for 2weeks.

I had a friend of a friend begging to visit, I let her come I did say for one week only, she booked for 15 days, came with 200 quid, flaunted herself about the place, everything hanging out!!!!!!!!! ofcourse to try to grab my hubbys attention. She was a complete nightmare, we spend afew bob on entertaining her, taking her out. This was over 2 years ago, I still have the scars. Ive learnt a very hard lesson from her.

Were they invited guests!!!! I never expect a token gifts from any of my guests. Alot of guests do tend to expect us to pay for everything, now thats another story / argument we could get into.

Germany. Starting to wish I had sent it to the UK. I looked into this recently as I need to renew mine in September, I dont think you can send it to the UK, as the website asked what country you reside in, and from the UAE passports have to be sent to Germany. I would email as Shazman said, or even better try and call them.

As Little Miss is only 8, she still young and Im am so sure she would catch up on her work once she returns. I took my eldest DD out of school when she was 6, I bought books from WH Smith in the UK, I spent time with her each day just to keep her mind refreshed. I also had a friend that took her DD out of school for 6months to travel Australia, no problems with her LO either. Happy travels, what a lovely opportunity to see the world. I would go for it, you lucky so and so's.

Take the good advise from the other ladies, also ask for a aisle seat or bulkhead, so you can move in and out as you please. Just try and keep calm.

We were there about 6 weeks ago, the brunch started great, sitting outside enjoying the food and drink, then the high winds appeared, so it really knocked the wind out of our day. I really dont like the restaurant inside, its a bit clinical, food was ok, nothing to impressive. Ive had better brunches.

JS I know it must be annoying, with reading the thread she just cares so much, and if there has been family issues, she probably feeling more insecure. Next time you go and visit her explain you dont need a babysitter and thank her for caring so much. I do find older people tend to threat more than us younger people.

I live in Trident Bayside, lovely building, great finish, and have a lovely pool, Jacuzzi, gym and even a Oxygen Bar!!!! Live 200mts from Marina Metro, Spinneys a stone throw walk away, have view of marina and SZR. Unfurnished 2 bed plus maids are about 100,000 per year.

Im not fortunate enough to use other airlines, EK are the only ones that go into Birmingham. Ive always found them to be expensive, so going back 2 years ago I bought a one way ticket out of here and now buy BHX-DXB-BHX, works out nearly half price from the UK. what a good idea! we live 10 mins from bhx airport so can also only use EK. If you plan your dates then flights can be a less as 404.00 quid, and if I need to change my flight from DXB it costs 75 quid, still cheaper than going from here. I took my mum to a new restaurant at marina walk and they came over with a tray and offered us to choose, we didnt really want anything, but they insisted, both of hardly touched this appetiser and when the bill came I was charged 30dhs each for it. Wont be going back. Bare faced cheek and the best thing was we were the very 1st customer.

Its just not Chilli Crab, I went to Meat co at Madinat and ordered 5 starters, 4 mains and 1 starter for MIL, had a voucher and they took of the 1 main and the starter!!!! should of been 2 main meals. Rip Off.
