Hi, I did go with impressions47 in the end. I haven't actually got the finished result back yet but I met the lady and she has taken my girls hand prints and hopefully il get it back in around 10 days or so. I looked at some of her work and it was all lovely and looked high quality. Hope that helps :)

My husband couldn't get it to work on the laptop or his work computer at work but I've managed it with the iPad. Not sure why that is

Thanks for the tip on the calculator, didn't know about that! According to the rera calculator he is not entitled to increase the rent. Also rang them just to confirm. They said to tell him to go to the calculator so he can see for himself and if he still tries to increase then we can take it to the rent committee. Hi Eli79, tried to email you but it wouldn't send, not sure if I copied it down wrong but will try again later. We are in RH sector in an A2. Hi elmsnre, he's tryin to increase by about 20%. Looking on dubizzle he just wants to increase to what seems about average for our property at the moment. We got ours for the average price last year though so I wonder if others are going through this at the same time. Annoys me that the agent seems to be working for the landlord even though he said he was also working for us. We would rather not move right now as its just not the right time francescaevans. Our children seem very happy and settled and I don't think it's right to uproot because of a greedy landlord who is in the wrong. Thank you for the advice though :)

It's the fact that the agents were telling us this that made me question ourselves! Looking on dubizzle the rents for our type of villa have gone up by quite a bit but to be fair I don't think it's justified. We live on The Villa and where we are isn't landscaped and there are no community facilities. If little things like this were done I could perhaps understand such a big increase

Hi everyone. We will of been in our villa one year in april. Our landlord wants to increase our rent by 28,000. He doesn't spend all his time in this country so has asked the estate agents that dealt with our contracts last year to deal with our renewal. We have said that as per RERA he isn't allowed to do this but they are saying if rents have gone up by a certain amount then they can increase. I've read on RERA's website that this information is correct but I thought it meant from the second year onwards. Is the estate agent correct and I've just understood it wrong? I know that this subject has been covered a lot but I feel they are pressurising us and I want to make sure we have all the correct information. Thanks

He has a temporary work visa or something and some papers to say his residency visa is being processed. The hire car company let him have a car on Saturday after some checking. So yes, he is allowed to drive as far as we are aware

My husband has no idea and we would like to look at all our options tonight to see which is closer/easier/where we could maybe make a day out of it. Thanks again

Thanks for the tips ladies. All very useful/helpful! As green-ish said I would rather prevent rather than distract. Il go on the hunt for a chest strap today but if I'm unsuccsessful (which I imagine I will be!) I will have to order one. Do you know how long it takes for delivery from that site? Also, do they deliver to your home address or PO box? Sorry for all the questions but our PO box is really the company's and DH is in the middle of changing jobs! Thanks

Not to fussed about cost (to an extent!!) as she was seeing an optometrist back in the UK every 12 months or so. Would rather she was checked properly rather than a rushed job! Will check on the insurance side of things too though

We found our villa at The Villa project with a guy called Ali from wateredge. He was nothing but helpful and has never been rude although his time keeping isn't great! We also got what we think was quite a good deal with him. His number is 050 345 0955. I've noticed two villas in our courtyard have been having lots of viewings today but I don't know who they are with, sorry

Hey zilahd, I was more or less in the same position as you with my 1st. I was 19 with my 1st being 1 when we moved here. I know there are some lovely ladies out there but sometimes it's great to have other mums the same age as you! I'm 23 now and my youngest is nearly 7 months so a little older than yours but your welcome to email me on s dot gaylor 87 at gmail dot com if you fancy meeting for a coffee or something x

On the box of the aptimil 2 it says from 6 months. My daughter has just turned 6 months so Ive just started giving it to her. Its made her quite sicky and she doesnt seem to be taking it as well as the aptimil 1. Is this normal and her body just getting used to it?

Hi emmaH, I used to live in the ranches and I quite often saw baby groups on the notice board at le marche, dont know if you've tried looking there? I didnt drive when I lived there either and it could be a nightmare! How old is your little one? My youngest DD is 6months. We moved away for a couple of years and have now moved back and I drive! We're moving to The Villa next week. I havent driven out here yet but I have 2weeks to get my confidence up for when my eldest starts school. Once Im out and about Im more than happy to meet with the little ones. Im quite sure il be going to the coffee morning at mirdiff mall (probably not the 1st week as my eldest still wont be at school) but your more than welcome to come with us :o)

We used to live here before and our landlord paid to have the 'hair plug' style grass put in, it didnt take well at all so we paid to re do it ourselves and it worked really well. We put it down to the time of year because it was getting really hot when the landlord did it. This garden is quite a bit bigger than our last one which is why we are looking to do it cheap! Great idea's Quizzme, love the sand area! We have a trampoline coming over and would def like to get swings and/or slide so that sounds perfect and would take up quite a chunk of area! Thanks for the other advice and suggestions :o)

When star opened it started off with only 1 or 2 classes per year (cant remember which now) and they are slowly extending this to 4 classes per year. If you were talking about star, this could possibly be the reason there's places available?

Definatly up for all play dates with people here and people due to arrive! My email is [email protected] if any of you want to arrange anything :)
