I live in the Greens. I have the loveliest neighbours who are so kind. I love being able to walk to shops, getting the bus to the metro or MOE if I don't want to drive. It's nice to walk round the lakes most pf the year. it's quick to get to work andr eally accessible. Great for take aways and home delivery. The only downside is the parking if you have more than one car.

Alternative medicine works really well for sinusitis. Acupuncture is particularly effective. I recommend Steve at the dubai physiotherapy clinic edited by sarassister on 03/06/2011

Dubai Pest Control. Really good and professional and thorough. Don't have their number but you should find it if you google it.

Dr Dandewatte at the welcare. Fanatstic orthopedic doctor. Only will do surgery if absolutely necessary. Explain things clearly. Great with kids and adults. The second occasion I needed to see him was becuase of unsatisfactory treatment and diagnosis at Medcare! I may have spelled his name wrongly but if you do a search you will find him.

The big tall brown ones at the back, where the supermarket and laundry are. The laundry is inexpensive by the way.

just been to visit a friend there. The trinagle is same side of Al Khall as the springs under the pylons. Rent through landlords or dubizzle. Traffic depends on direction you are coming from. Al Khail roundabout can be iffy at rush hour. Very dusty but excellent value for money.

I have been there on holiday a few times and yes it is very expensive. I would say food is on a par or more expensive than here. It is also fairly limited in terms of what there is to do. Apart from the stunnningly beautiful beaches, golf and tennis. There is not much more. Some of the more established shops have either closed or downsized. Personally I would say great for a holiday but I don't think I could live there. Other people go and love it. Horses for courses I suppose

Thanks ladies. I tried to get an appointment with her but her first appoinment for new patients is august. I am sure that is a strong recommendation in itself but was hoping to see someone in the next two weeks. edited by sarassister on 11/04/2011

I think quite a few teens use this bus route. So the chances are she would know someone on the bus. Also in the ladies section at the front all the ladies seem to keep an eye out for each other and would probably do the same for her. I would do it with her once as another poster suggested and see how you feel about it.

Whilst I understand where you are coming from. It's not your role in this case to question the judgement of the other employer in terms of their decision to employ someone without qualifications. Be honest about your maid and don't jeopardise her future.

Went there last year in Feb and it was sunny the temperature was in high teens/llow twenties. Cool at night but hotel had underfloor heating. Lightweight jumper was fine in the day, fleece at night. One of the best places I have ever been to!

I can really recommend Hotel David. It doesn't have a spa but does have a garden, relax room and a lovely lounge where you can curl up with a book. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the rooms are clean and it is a short bus ride into the centre. They have a free happy hour with anti pasti and wine and soft drinks. Their restaurant recommendations were superb. I would go back in an instant. I found it on Trip Advisor. edited by sarassister on 04/01/2011
