we don't have to pay for it but I don't want to use if not really needed....want to save energy! but when I came back today I found in the kitchen few spot. looked like mould....and sometimes the smell is not good. We have no clue if management cleans A/C system. Usually here they have good cleaning and maintenance. But how can you clean A/C system in a highrise.... I don't know what we can do to avoid humidity in the apartment....

Its a good question...a landlord should actually inform you about rent increase 90 days before your rent expires. This what he is doing now...he gives you even more than 90 days. But if terms and conditions of contact are changed both sides have to agree.. I guess it is on you if you accept. for him it would be better to sign a contract with you on agreed rent and on same date he should give you a written notice to vacate the apt. in 12 month, when contract expires again. Then he can ask easily for higher rent from new tenant...

if going to any concert o.a. on Yas Island its better to pre book a limo service ....we queued yesterday bravely for taxi and waited 1 1/2 hours........some people were just walking down the road towards Yas hotels...they tried to stop a taxi on the way. That was the reason why hardly any taxi reached the designated official stop....

I know we should just stick to our current and don't pay any increase, but he was sending mails again and again...not accepting 0 increase. To be honest we just don't want to move and want it just get done and not waste time to get to rent committee. I read it is complicated, time consuming......to be honest in the moment I am so fed up with this, every year the same trouble with LL....we are thinking now of leaving Dubai next year...I think it will go on for some more years with these LL asking for high increases.

wme have feedback from LL...he will agree on renewal on 140,000. We agreed now. waiting now for contract. Increase from 125000 to 140000....more than we wanted to pay. But on the other hand most 2BR + Maid cost are getting more expensive. Then moving cost money and time....just wonder where rent goes next year. I just had 3 % salary increase. Rents go up to fast ....

I checked calculator and according to that we would not have to pay any increase. Range for 2BR according to the caculator is 120 to 150,000 and we pay the average. But we have offered LL now to pay 10% increase even we not have to.... Last year we paid an increase of 15 % as we didn't know anything about the law or caculator...This year we will go to rent committee if LL doesn't accept our offer. LL missed 90 day to inform us about increase anyway...so I think he should be pleased if we offer an increase anyway....
