no debate on this one, it has to be Greggs all the way, not just specific items, but all of their items. Greggs is always my first stop at the airport in the UK:)

You can also try Carrefour at MOE - I have previously bought hawain shirts their, with the shorts too match as well - very very cheap - Tommy Bahamas is very very expensive particularly if this is for a Golf Tour where they are only going to wear them once. another place you can try is the Supermarket shops down in Satwa - the ones that sell everything and normally have an upstairs which is where all the clothes are. good luck in your search.

Another huge thumbs up for Dr Houriya, she is extremely gentle and caring and very very thorough, she also does a great follow up (if it is needed). The other advantage is that the allied diagnostics centre is just below her and therefore if she recommends mamogram or ultrasound, these can be done very quickly.

Does anyone know if a UK driving licence holder is allowed to drive cars in the UAE that are owned and insured in the UAE. The reason for asking is that I have some visitors for the next few weeks, and I want to know if they can drive my car. Your feedback is appreciated TIA

Hi glamorgirl I go to Al Hamra quite a lot, I have never stayed in the hotel, but have stayed in the Villa Rooms and also the town houses, the town houses rooms are really nice and there is a regular mini bus that drives up and down between the town houses and the main hotel complex. I have been to the spa in the town house complex and had a really nice facial. (Also there is a nice spa at Tower Links Golf Course in RAK). The beach and the pools are lovely and there are lots of different restaurants to choose from. If you have the entertainer book, there are vouchers for various restuarants, including the Italian and the Marina clubhouse. I totally agree with Sandy Dogg re the shopping - hopefully though this will start to change as a new RAK mall in RAK town itself if well into its construction phase, however if you like your furniture then there is a really good furniture store (I can't remember the name of it,however I am sure someone else on the board can:)), they have a small shop in Al Hamra Mall, but if you ask them they will take you to their warehouse, I also believe they have just opened a large store on the outskirts of RAK itself. If you are going without Children and you want a bit of a giggle, there is a night club on Al Hamra resort itself, its quite hard to describle the experience you will get as it is extremely old fashioned. I hope you enjoy your weekend. Edited to add the furniture place is called Maison Chic edited by seashells on 22/06/2011

I don't know any of you, but the support you have all given me is amazing. It really means alot to me that there are some very kind people out there who are willing to help strangers :) xxxx hi Wiggywig, if you can let me have your email address as I have just gone through Mammogram & Ultrasound, followed by another Ultrasound, followed by a needle biopsy, then followed by a lumpectomy, I can give you details on my experience, and I would have to say that I have been under a Consultant at the Well Woman Clinic and all I can say is that I would recommend anyone to use the Well Woman clinic - hope this helps - if not take care and good luck:) [b'>WIGGYWIG HAS CHANGED HER NAME TO INTRIGUE (for various reasons)[/b'> Thanks Seashells. Yep - this also happened to my DH a couple of months ago outside of Mall Of Emirates, so my DH took them into MOE and asked to try on some of the suits, he then said to them I have no cash, so they came out with the old buy us a phone story. DH just walked away, I said to DH when he got home that he should have called the police there an then as this I believe is illegal.......

I work in Internet City and from Victory Heights it takes make around 20 to 25 minutes (during what is classed as rush hour). Victory Heights is still a realtively new area, but is family friendly and it looks like the community pools will be opening soon (I take a drive to them every couple of weeks to see the progress), its a great location and only a couple of minutes from Sports city where Spinneys and the shops are, but also only 15 minutes away from Mall of Emirates & Mirdiff City Centre Malls. Thanks.
