thanks for all your responses... so i tried spinneys in Jumeirah 1 - they didnt have any and then i tried Choithrams near Mercato.. they didnt either... now what :(

So im thinking about trying a new recipe.. but it asks for Laksa paste... does anyone know where we can get that from... Carrerfour and Spinneys have the regular pastes.. red curry green curry etc.. thoughts?

Unfortunately this is absolutely normal. Same thing happened to us last year... we were the first file to go through.. mind you my son is a french national. When we asked how come he didnt get a place.. we were told first preference is given to children of employees of the french consulate THEN to siblings of children already studying in the school and that he was number 6 on the waiting list. However they did save the best news for last telling us he had gotten admitted to the school in Sharjah! Tempting but NO thank you!

thanks this is really insightful.. and the agent is pushing me to sign for tower G.. since it has never been lived in.. my only worry is this big external tank..which has faucets to it and what not.. and i know when my 3 1/2 year old son sees it.. its going to be a challenge he's going to want to conquer! anyway i'll ask for more viewings in that case before i make my mind up.. thanks again!

well i too have a phobia of heights!! so it doesnt help.. maybe this sounds naive... but which tower would you recommend i go see.. also again maybe im pushing my luck but is there a contact person.. or should i go to that business bay sales office... thanks you guys..dont know what i would do without this forum!!

ladies.. im considering on moving from my villa on Al Wasl.. im looking at a 3 bedder... BUT i have a 3 1/2 year old boy and a 14th month baby girl.. ive decided i want to move to an apartment for a number of reasons one mainly being that i dont want a live in nanny and id like a pool and some play area for the kids. I am MORTIFIED however of the balcony situation... how do you guys cope.. are there any apartments without balcony? thoughts please.. i have 2 weeks before i need to move

What a brilliant start to my morning! So heart warming to read such wonderful messages of support for CABear. I wish i could help but i think id just be in the way.. i myself am struggling with a 3 year old and a 1 year old.. and a DH who is away all week for work I had to let the maid go because she got knocked up and it was a nightmare .. but this tells me there's hope.. and a lot of good people out there... have a super one everyone! & God bless you!

I heard about Dr Sinan but he's apparently on leave.. so I've booked myself with Dr Madhu.. lets see how that goes.. Mariana.. yes i WAS a patient of his... i just found him to be very unprofessional.. i was with him for 2 years... had braces...he was very rough.. did not communicate what was being done... just did his own thing..seemed least interested and quite honestly wouldn't recommend him or go back to him for that matter... i went to all three centers.... Mirdif.. Karama & Jumeirah..some people just dont get it right!

thank you for the reassurance... Al Wasl are saying that they will transfer the lease at the same rent for the remaining period which is till end of august 2012..i dont think there's a commission to be made (again!).. yes it is a fantastic deal... considering these villas are brand new...

i dont know how that would work... for starters the property is already managed by Al Wasl Properties.... and as per the lease agreements we are obliged to forfeit 3 months rent... so our only way out is to find someone who is willing to take over the villa from us.. like a transfer.... this is soo stressful.. arrrggghhh!
