I moved to Houston from Dubai 5 years ago let me know if I can be of any help. I live in Sugar Land which is a great area for young families.... Good schools etc but it depends on where your husband will be working as commutes can be long!

Good old fashioned baking soda!! Mix to a paste apply to areas like a face pack leave on for 15 minutes then massage in and rinse off! Once a week.

Bernina are expensive but you get what you pay for. I have always had a Bernina and they really are the Rolls Royce of sewing machines. The one you looked at is a fantastic machine. Brother will let you down at some point whereas a Bernina will not. If you get fed up with it then they are very easy to resell!

Marriot is gorgeous a little piece of paradise! Taxis on the resort are cheap and will take you to restaurants.
