I bought the Mel B one from Virgin and the Dance workout one from Australia (sorry). Someone else mentioned that they bought Zumba from Virgin at MOE and as soon as this month's pay comes in I am going to see if they have at MCC! Otherwise I think I will buy from Amazon (much cheaper). On your original thread someone else suggested good places to buy Wii games. I have checked C4, Hyoerpanda, Plug-Ins, E-Max and a couple of the more independent games shops at MCC and no-one really has a lot of Wii stock. I really like both the ones I have. I use the Mel B workout for toning and then to burn more calories I do a couple of the quick workouts on the My Fitness Coach Dance Workout which really burns the calories!! Its really fun too. DH does the combat workout on Mel B and samurai fighting game on the Dance one! I like the sound of Zumba though and I'm really keen to get it because it sounds like heaps of fun but I don't feel confident enough in my coordination to front up at a gym class so I thought it would be good to practice at home first!! lol! I am at home cos i have 2 young kids.. they sleep and i workout! :) Gonna go check out virgin here today.. i hope they have something in stock! :)

Hyperpanda has them on sale at the moment. Otherwise check Dubaisavers and you can see where else has them on sale. Embo, where can I buy more fitness CDs? Which do you recommend? :)

Sorry if I got ur name wrong! u know who u r :) WiiFit Plus rocks! I been using it for 3 days now, about an hour to hour and half each day, and have lost 900gms. Not bad for a start huh? Of course, its only salads at night. It weighs u everyday and give u a graph of how ur progressing, how many calories u burnt, etc Wii Fit Pls has Yoga, Aerobics, Strngth training, Balance training, and some games. The games are kinda silly, but fun.. and u get calories burnt. If u cheat, it knows and u dont get burnt calories. U can make your own routine with yoga and strength training and mix them also. It wont let u go past the beginners stage until its satisfied, so even tho your muscles ache the first couple of days, its not like u r exhausted. Of course, I dont think only FitPlus is enough. I plan to get a couple more workout CDs for sure. I need to lose some more weight faster. Oh and if u do any excercise outside of wiifitplus, u can add that and get ur calories for that. But on the whole, I think its excellent.

So the past week my DS has gone a bit mad.. I had earlier started a thread thinking he was teething, but the grinind of the teeth has stopped.. plus I cant see any redness or feel anything near his molars.. so i am thinking this is not it.. i am not sure.. Since past 2-3days he has become v agressive. He bit my 4month old DD, pinched her belly hard. He is usually difficult to put to bed.. but now it has become almost impossible. He resists sleep so much. I actally have to lie down with him (yes yes i know bad!), and he takes about 20-30mins to fall asleep. But now, its like over 45 mins and its driving me mad. He just twists and turns, and gets up and then rolls down.. i ignore every action and pretend i am asleep, but nothing is working. He is usually quite obedient and loves to help.. now he throws things about. He threw the remote control, the plates (unbreakable thank god!), etc. And when his cousins comes to play with him, if they take anything, he cries and throws a tantrum. Its like he cannot tolerate anyone touching his things. Earlier, he would just take it back or atleast wait till they gave it to him. He sleeps 11 hrs at night.. i make sure he does.. and also nap is 1.5hrs-2hrs a day. So its not like he is lacking sleep. He sleeps thru the night. But still he has dark circles and he looks sleep and behaves like he is exhausted. And we havent been anywhere since last wednesday.. So can it be boredom also? I am lost :( my lovely boy has suddenly become a terror. Any ideas where i am going wrong ladies? I have tired to give as much info as i can.. :(

So I finally got the wii fitplus today.. pretty cool stuff! Question tho: Is there anyway I can save a few different routines so that I dont have to do the same saved one each day? Also, some of it are only open for beginner levels? Do other levels open as I get better?

So have decided on the WiiFitPlus with the Wii console. yaay! Question: Are the fitness CDs like YourShape, Zumba, etc available in dxb? If yes, where? Sorry, but i am brand new into this wii/playstation/nintendo world! :) THANKS! Virgin Megastore seems to have quite a good range. I haven't found Zumba but you can get from Amazon. For some reason they don't seem to stock as many Wii games here as Xbox or Playstation. Not sure why. if u get from amazon, can u play it on the wii i buy here? There is some middleeast version, us version, uk version , etc right?

For breastmilk, the foremilk is water and the hind milk is fat, correct? So what you can try is feed him only from one boob during any 3 hrs, so that u make sure he gets all the fatty milk too. Ie, from 5pm-8pm everytime he wants a feed, give him the same boob. So basically, after the first feed at 5pm, every other feed till 8pm, he would be getting fat milk. My DD has lactose overdose and this is what I do for her.. she needs the fatty milk so that it is held down. U could give it a shot, before u move to formula. Good luck!

LD, my heart goes out to you. I know how you feel. My DD whose 4months now was born with a condition. I have been to pretty much every pvt and govt hospital in Dubai with her and no one know wat to do. It was like she was a guinea ***. Long story short she was admitted to Dubai Hospital with a heavily bleeding neck and we almost thought we would lose her. Anyways, we ended up taking her to the UK for treatment. Dubai is simply not equipped to deal with such kind of stuff. The ideas the doctors gave me were beyond stupid.. Many times I had to literally fight of doctors because they wanted to come and see my child's condition, regardless of how painful touching her was, because they hadnt seen something like that before. When it comes to babies, I am very very disillusioned about Dubai. Its a huge huge risk. If you can work it out with your DH, I highly highly suggest Great Ormond Street Hospital in the UK (there is a branch in healthcare city). Its one of the oldest children;s hospitals in the world. ****** expensive, but well worth it. And my DD never cried in pain even once during the 2 weeks we were in the UK! They were that gentle with her! I hope things sort out soon for you.

Hi I use the Mel B workout which tailors a daily program for you based on your goals. DH quite enjoys doing the combat workout too (so funny to watch!). I also use the Fitness Coach Dance workout which I really enjoy. Both of these are on the Wii without needing Wii Fit. I am also looking for the Zumba game as well but can't find it in Dubai. The advantage is you don't need to go to a gym and can do it anytime. Like all things you can go as hard as you want but you do need to be motivated. We did buy a Kinnect too but returned it as it didn't really work. I think there was some interference from sunlight or something as it kept stopping to rescan my body and reset itself which was REALLY frustrating. Other people might find it different though. We decided to try again when they bring out a second generation version as I think the technology might not quite be there yet. Hope this helps! Thanks Embo. So basically, I can just get the Wii, and get different fitness CDs instead of getting the Wii Fit? Also, what exactly does the Wii Fit have then?

I have never had a sinnus before but developed one during pregnancy of my second child. I used ayurveda and cleared it out in 2 days! No chemicals. U get this powder called "Rasnadi Podi" at indian supermarkets. U take 1/2 a teaspoon of this, and put it in a table spoon. The squeeze half a lemon on to the table spoon and mix the whole thing with ur finger. Heat the mixture for about a 30secs. Then apply this to the top of your head (the area where the indentation for newborns is).. and leave for 1hr. After an hour, u can either dust it off or leave it overnight and take a bath. Ok ladies, i need to lose weight.. about 10kgs. With a infant and toddler in tow, it has to be home based workout. So can someone tell me how this Wii Fit works? We (rather DH) have the playstation 2 or 3 or something.. does it connect to that? Also, does it actually have exercise routines? Or is there another gadget that does the same thing? I have the jillian shred DVD.. but wanted a couple of alternatives also. :) Pls help! Open to suggestions! :) Thanks!

ahhh... sometimes selfishness is good in life. These are little babies we r talking about, not cars or watches :) I for one am real selfish then and quite happy with it :) Besides, once they are made, what do u do? put them back in? Cant do much but love them and kiss them and lose sleep for a few years :) and this fantasy attitude can put such strain on a marriage for years. Why should one person be forced to become a parent and take on the additional financial responsibility if they don't want to? Doesn't set the scene for a happy household that's for certain. Thank you for assuming stuff about my household pormegrante. I think u r bl00dy rude. Anyways, i am entitled to my opinion whether u like it or not. god forbid ppl like u ever get mistakenly pregnant.. i would feel sorry for the kid.. that is if it got past the pregnancy! Whether I have 1 kid or 10, I know my DH would accept it, and I know for a fact that he would look after that baby with love ad respect regardless of whether he wanted it or not. So if u dont know my family background, kindly keep ur stupid thoughts to urself. edited by shaf on 02/06/2011 :) wow, you've shown yourself to be a very touchy person - didn't mention your family specifically [b'>at all[/b'> so why all guns blazing about my own personal circumstances? I think you've shown yourself to be the one with stupid thoughts - you've actually written that you would "feel sorry for my kid...that if it got past the pregnancy"...sorry lady, but you sound pretty evil. If you take the time to read closely, I was referring about [i'>your view/advice to the OP[/i'> (which for many other couples just wouldn't be realistic) in relation to the OP's issue, no-one has mentioned a mistaken pregnancy, it has been suggested that the OP gets pregnant on purpose without informing her DH of her own decision - there is a difference. Go and have a glass of wine and calm down! :) edited by Pomegranate on 02/06/2011 How daft are u pomergranate? If u quote me then u r referring to me. I am touchy, and u are rude. Oh yea and very evil.. so watch out! I dont even know why i bother responding to ppl like u..

Ok i so dont recommend having mum in... how many ever times she has popped herself. Mothers simply cannot bear to see their children in pain, even tho they know labor pain is normal and at the end of it she's gonna have a gorgeous little grandchild. And when mum shows stress on her face, it reflects on the woman going thru labor. This is how I feel. However, if its just your husband, somehow women in labor r conditioned not to get overly stressed if men show signs of stress.. At my first delivery mum was around.. took 24hrs. Second one, no mum, just DH, 2 hrs! :D Lol!!! I dont blame her for my long labor.. but I knew she was very stressed and i cud feel it.

It is a real shame they have not listened to us, I am 99% sure that the person who responded to me posted on this thread and was dismissive of everyones concerns, so it does not look like the management are going to listen to our concerns. Apparently, they have a large customer base and the feedback they have is that they are happy with MOST aspects of mini monsters, they seem to think that is enough, but they should be looking for 100 % satisfaction. Not sure they are as in touch with their customers as they think they are............ Nobody, absolutely nobody messes with EW women... i dont think they know that yet! lol!!! ;)

I stopped nursing my DS at 14months cos i got pregnant and it was just too exhausting for me. We had to go cold turkey. It was awful, cos he would cry and he just dint know how to fall asleep without the boob. My DH had to put him to sleep.. but he kinda forgot the boob in about 10days. Also, he slept thru the night wthout askign for a feed as DH obviously cant feed him. Everytime he woke at night, DH offered him water. He dint drink any milk for a day or two before accepting cow's milk in a sippy cup. In No-Cry sleep book there was a method suggested to wean off the boob. Its a longer process than going cold turkey, but if u dont want ur child to cry, u cud give it a shot. It says, nurse till u know ur child is almost a sleep and then pull out the boob. Yes, he will wake up, offer it to him again. Keep doing this, untill he eventually just falls asleep. Do this for a few days/weeks/months and he will eventually learn that he can fall asleep without the boob. Good luck! :)

Kids are put to bed by 7, asleep latest by 8.. after that i hog on all the chocolate :D My 3month old wakes a couple of times at night.. so in the morning the DH takes care of the older child, who wakes at 7:00, and gives me an hour or so to sleep. Try to coincide their naps together.. i know its a feat of amazing coordination of time.. but its worth that one hour of peace during the day..

Hi, I have given birth to both my children in hamad. My experience with my first birth was not very pleasant (2years ago). However I'm happy to say that they have improved alot since then. 8months ago I delivered my daughter there, I waited as long as possible before going to the hospital so that I would be able to to go in get checked and go off to delivery. I was taken to the delivery room and accompanied by one midwife. I made it Very clear to her that I had done this before and I will do what ever I feel my body wants to do. I made sure to tell her that I wanted a drug free birth and NO episiotomy. Everything was smooth sailing from then on. I had also booked for a private room ( which in order to do so, you must send a family member with ur health card to reception on the day that you deliver, and then they will give you a internal number which you then call once you have delivered and been taken to the shared room.) I delivered my daughter during Ramadan so everything as quiet and I happened to be the only one in that room so I ended up staying put. I have a friend that recently delivered in al ahli which resulted in a c-section :s Sorry for the long reply and I hope it was helpful. U think they would even consider a hand and knees delivery? I did that the last time and i cant even consider delivering on my back!!!
