When I was in M&S in London last week, there were many delicious ready to cook meals, prepared with only fresh ingredients, on offer.

Unfortunately, M&S don't do anything but frozen meals here, they don't provide fresh food here as the quality they require cannot be maintained in far-flung places.

Google "download watch free tv series" or something similar and you can catch up on your computer. There are several sites which don't even need a Vee Pea Enn.

According to this, the Nail Spa chain does the moulded Bio Sculpture: http://www.thenailspa.com/treatments/perfect_enhancements.aspx but I think their locations are all in New Duba, you could check on their site to see if there's something near you.

I'm sorry, no suggestions as to where to go, but in the past, in Europe, have found travelling on December 25th or January 1st themselves to be cheaper than at other times :)

It sounds to me as if this is a company which acknowledges unmarried partnerships with the term "accompanied", which obviously cannot apply legally here. Single and married are obvious and presumably family means "married with children" all living in the same place. Of course, it is up to each company as to how they interpret things - I'm not sure we can be of any help. edited by simpleasabc on 06/12/2012

Lenochka, it was called "Ace "ruined" my Christmas" and seems to have been removed, probably at the request of the OP who was being "gently teased" in the way only EW can do, about her definition of ruination :)

I can't add anything more to what the other ladies have advised, but would like to warn you that even if you close down their FB account, a teenager is perfectly capable of opening another account in secret whilst at a friend's house.

From this, it looks to me as if it's not going to be as big nor last as long as it did last year, but I may be wrong: https://www.jumeirah.com/en/Hotels-and-Resorts/Destinations/Dubai/Madinat-Jumeirah/Exclusive-Offers1/Festive-Celebrations/Souk-Festive-Market/ Definitely for both children and adults - well, it was last year, anyhow :)

I've just checked our last 7 DEWA invoices on-line. The electricity costs range from a low of 208 in March, to a high of 1846 in August, and average 995. We live in a 4-bed stand-alone villa and there are people living here who forget to turn the air-con and lights off when they go up to bed.

Not forgetting that you require written permission from your husband to leave the country with your children, and also his permission (NOC) if you wish to work. edited by Alismum on 22/11/2012 I've left the country on my own with my daughter and was not asked if I had any permission from anyone. She is 17, but that is still not considered the age of majority here.

Hi, Anchor18. Sorry to hear of your quandary. I'm not really any good at this kind of thing, but in your shoes, I probably wouldn't move. Also, are you [b'>sure[/b'> you'd be able to work if you came to Dubai? That would make a difference to your life and you might be happier going back to work. I'm really not sure about how divorces work here - from reading on EW only, it seems that some men manipulate the law here in their favour for child custody, even if they are not Muslim and many women contemplating divorce come on here scared that the law here will work against them, but I've honestly no idea about how this works in practice. I hope someone with more knowledge will be able to advise you. If, in your heart of hearts, you feel the marriage is over, I would think you need to talk to your husband and tell him as soon as possible, so he can make his plans accordingly.

I'm horrible at making pastry, so I tried this a few years ago, and the overwhelming response was that my family preferred it over the pie version! I have been begged for the recipe whenever I've brought it to friends'. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/granny-kats-pumpkin-roll/ Now that looks really edible :)

Ok so everyone just dumps their faulty Kindles and buys the newer version? Am I the only one who bonded with mine and can't bear to part with it? :D Have you tried contacting Amazon Customer Services to see what they say? My screen froze and I was sent a new Kindle immediately, presumably under warranty. They were really helpful - but mine had black lines all across the frozen screen and it didn't work at all.

I've got Buy Me a Pony's spread sheet somewhere, if you would like it, email me on . It's very thorough - unfortunately, her family had huge maintenance/running cost problems not of their own making which could not be factored in when planning. If you do decide to come, you will need to do a search (or ask someone more organized than me) for the check list of requirements/costs when first renting here as there are many hidden pitfalls. edited by simpleasabc on 21/11/2012

Suebfg, in that case, I think you're laughing. We have to use the tax we are saving to pay for Sixth Form school fees, which are not cheap. We also have to pay our own medical insurance, though we get flights home. We are very lucky in that the co pays our rent a year in advance. Depending on where you live and the school fees, I think that package sounds excellent.

Back in Geneva, we used to find that a class gift of a voucher for a department store went down the best with teachers as they could choose what they wanted and think of their class when they used whatever they chose. The other thing they appreciated was personal home made gifts from the children in their class. Maybe teachers here think differently?

I'm not sure when you say your husband earns £85k pa if you mean gross or net? If it's gross, then I think the package he's being offered is wonderful; if it's net - I still think the package he's being offered is pdg :) As others have said, if you could ensure that the company will pay the rent cheque for a year in advance, you will make your lives much easier, rather than the accommodation allowance being factored into the monthly salary. Ditto school fees at least a term in advance. edited by simpleasabc on 21/11/2012

Sue R, I've always assumed it was an American thing. Aren't they "self-basting", so once they're in the oven and the timer's on, you don't have to worry about them? edited by simpleasabc on 19/11/2012
