This is a testimony of hurdle I went through during my third pregnancy.
First of all there is a big scam in UAE on this NIPT gender test. We got the contact of Mohammed (NIFTY) from a portal and contacted him, as he suggested I flew to UAE to give blood sample for NIPT test on my 13th week of pregnancy.
Through a person (Ansari) Mohammed arranged blood sample collection in a lab based in Karama, but no recipet or any confirmation will be given. Same day I returned back to my country with slight doubt about their trust. The report was shared via whatsapp very next week.
The whole idea of doing NIPT was to know the gender of the baby. Many of the Indian parents wish to do this in early weeks of preganncy, but due to legal restrictions it is not allowed in our country. That's the reason many are approaching UAE for the same. So did we.
My husband and I had a feeling that this people haven't send the sample for test, instead shared us a fake manipulated report. It was a challenge, but we decided to continue pregnancy. Now on my 36th week of pregancy I have delivered a baby boy now through C- section procedure. We are glad that we didn't go with those fake report, though we lost some money through those scammers.
They do know how much worry and frustration we are going through those days, in the midst of those struggles these scammers are taking the benefit of our weak situation . I do not know how to suggest a genuine NIPT test to pregnant mothers, may be it would be more trustworthy to go through a hospital than contacting private scammers.
