Hi, littlepenguin! I came across your post from awhile ago, so apologies if it's outdated! I am suffering from TMJ and having seen several dentists already, not to mention a jaw doctor years back, I'm still unable to find anyone who knows what they're talking about. The maxo/jaw specialist doctor who I saw in 2010 did say to avoid any surgery (as extreme last resort, which I agree to), and that I need to somehow manage it through anti-inflamms, night guard, and life style. All of the latter I did via my dentists - including laser therapy, which was a joke and did not work, unfortunately - and now the problem persists. I do wear a guard but it doesn't really help. Have you resolved your TMJ issue? And if so, would you please be able to share any tips in the forms of docs/remedies prescribed? I am happy to go see the right doctor (as it's all so expensive here...). Thanks so much!
