We currently live in Doha but are considering moving due to a lack of proper schooling for my 7 year old daughter with Down syndrome. She is in year 1 now at a British school with a shadow teacher but since the school is not really inclusive and is mainstream they aren't equipped to teach her and I feel like she isn't getting the sort of trained teachers she needs.
There is a possibility that my husbands office may agree to transfer him to the Dubai office but this would only be worth it if there are inclusive schools that have properly trained special needs education staff. So far I have contacted JPS and they have confirmed that they are inclusive. Does anyone have any further info on this and if you know of any other schools that accept children with Down syndrome?
I would really appreciate any feedback as we have to make the decision to move mainly because of our daughter as we want to provide her with the best opportunities.
