Hey Nadeea, We just moved back to socal a month ago and are waiting for our container to arrive. We used an awesome company called Freightworks. They were very reasonable and extremely professional, which is quite rare in Dubai. Here's their number : Samalika Waidyani Customer Service Agent Tel: + 971 4 204 4461 Hope this helps. Best of luck

We are moving at the end of the month and have a complete living room set, Dining room set with 6 chairs and quite a few other household items. I can send pics if anyone is interested. They are more traditional. Def not contemporary :)

Hi ladies, Any idea how long it takes for a Sr. Management position in the banking industry between the 1st and 2nd interview? DH felt he had a great 1st interview and they discussed the process a bit to move onto the 2nd, plus he was asked about his package in his previous position. We sent a followup Thank you and its been about a week. Any ideas on how long it might be and does the above sound promising? Thanks

Welcome Nic28, I would really suggest leaving all your winter stuff behind except for maybe 1 jumper that you might use in December lol. Other than that, t-shirts, jeans, long shorts, long dresses is all you really need imo. Good luck :)

We wanted to go for umrah, but didn't want to purchase the package. Meaning we need to get the visa through a travel agent but would like to book the hotel on our own. Does anyone know of an agency that will do this? Also any personal experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks

we always go to the springs mosque and if you get there even 12:15 you can usually find a place to park. Either way, the womens section is not crowded at all, so I would give it a try. hope this help :)

Hi there, I would suggest not mentioning he is not your child. If all of the documents (birth cert and passport) have your last name, just submit it as such. I don't think it should be an issue obtaining the visa. What was the reason they gave for rejection?

Our phone bill was huge as well, although not with the Iphone. We figured out that it was the 3G network setting that was killing us. We turned it off and set it to only 2G. The phone bill has gone back to normal ever since. Hope this helps.

yes, Lenochka, I've day traded for years in the futures markets. I feel that day trading is alot more dangerous than trading options. I have a whole course on options available to me. I just need someone to spend a few hours with to learn the real basics of options and I'll move on to strategys from there myself. Hope this clarifies a little more. thanks

bc: yes I AM very proud to be an American. There is no country like it in the world and I consider myself blessed. gleek: babe you really gotta get your mind straight. Those teachers are their because of our government. Try being born in a country without any of those rights that you feel you pay for....would love to hear your reactions then. Anyhow, the more I live abroad the more I feel privledged to come from the US. Personal opinion people - no attacks required :) tks

Sorry but, its important to point out that the US is held responsible for everything that happens in this world. If they had stepped in ahead of time in any of the issues in the middle east, they would be scrutinized for wanting to take over these countries (as usual). The US is doing the right thing this time by letting the rest of the world decide and participate equally. We are damned if we do and damned if we dont. Please people make up your mind.

On the grounds of humanity. The so called "leader" of that country is killing civilians. They have gone in to stop this.

I actually had this for about a month. Went to the doctors and found out it was bronchitus. They gave me a breathing treatment for about ten minutes and a presciption for antibiotics and inhaler. Its helped tremendously within the first few hours. Take a quick trip to the docs...you will feel much btter.

If you are looking for an American High School, I would suggest ASD (American School of Dubai) or DAA (Dubai American Academy.

My kids actually went through Kumon a couple of years ago in the US and did very well. I inquired about it as soon as I came to Dubai, but was told directly from Kumon that they dont have centers here. Could you please check with your friend and possibly get me a number? Thanks

Give the Karama post office a call. Give them your tracking number and they will tell you if it is in. Then just go in and pick it up. It was a pretty easy process when we picked up our box from there. hope this helps.:)

Hi Ladies, Really need a good math tutor for my 3rd grade DS. We live in JBR, so we would prefer the tutor to come home and teach, but would consider otherwise. We need someone from the American system. Any advice would be great. Thanks
