I am a newbie to the forum, and finding lots of great advice and information on the expat women site.
It would be great to get some advice or any past experience. My fiancé has accepted too good to turn down offer for a role in Dubai, it's been a long term goal of ours to move out to the Middle East from Uk. We hadn't been due to marry until spring 2017, however on doing our research it's clear we need to bring the ceremony forward before we are due to fly in January!
It would be useful if any one who has had a similar experience or in general understands marriage laws on Dubai to help me out: do authorities see value in the date of marriage? I.e we will have been married a month, will this affect chances of wife sponsorship / attestation / or securing tenancy agreements once in Dubai? I would want to leave myself exposed as I would need to apply to go on my husbands visa.
