Hi! Just got back in and checked this. Is it okay for my husband to pop over when he gets in at 9pm or is that too late? Don't want to disturb you. If not he could go tomor at 8 or 9am? I don't have your address.....Thanks!

Brilliant! We'll be there on the button at 9am then lol, I had started to think this Jumperoo was an urban myth as I couldn't seem to find one for love nor money! ;-) Actually, if you would be willing to sell it tonight I can fly round?! (Not desperate at all lol!!) :-)

Hi there! Oh I have been searching for a jumperoo desperately!! Is it this Friday (as in tomorrow?)? We just live in Sports City so if the Jumperoo is still available I will definitely buy it! M

Hi everyone, I am posting to see if any mums with tots under around a year old would be interested in attending a Mommy and Baby Yoga class in the Motorcity area? My current yoga teacher would be willing to run a class if we could get around 3 or 4 people. I know there is a class run and JBR and down in Jumeirah etc but I don't think there is currently one up this direction. I am really keen on doing this, I think it would be a lovely thing to do with baby. Be great to hear from anyone who would be interested! :-)

Just to add, I really second what HelloAgainKitty says. I used the Marie Mongan method and found it great. To be honest I also found some bits a bit OTT and sort of cherry-picked what I used but overall I found that it helped me remain very relaxed and for me that was the key to being able to deal with each contraction. I had a drug-free, pretty great delivery and I would definitely use it for any further babies we may have. My doula (Elizabeth Bain) worked with me on it. I would encourage anyone to use it......in fact, my midwife at AH was very impressed with it afterwards! Best of luck!

Hi everyone! I haven't been on the October thread in a while, I really don't know where the time has gone! I'm 33 weeks at the moment, can't believe it's only 7 to go. I've been feeling pretty good, aside from hip pain which I've had since 4 months pretty much and a recent development of pain in my pubic bone at night. Other than that though, everything is fine and dandy! I'm having a doula too and am doing hypnobirthing which I am very excited about! Am thinking of going to the Bumps n Babes meeting too. I was going to go to the one which was on in Mirdiff CC but if some other October ladies are heading to Marina Mall then I might just do that too. It would be great to get to know some of you around the same EDDs! :-)

He's moving to N9ne Medical Institute in Dubai. I've just left him and moved to another Dr that delivers at American as I didn't like City and didn't want to deliver there. I did really rate him though. He does scan all the time though as standard.

Hi all, Orchard and Nams_new, so nice to hear from someone else around the same stage as myself! I'm due in the second week of October, currently waiting to have my 12 week scan next week. This first trimester seems to have lasted for an age!! Everything has been more or less fine with me, apart from a couple of minor issues. I changed OBGYN and am now with Dr George at AH. He definitely doesn't scan too much and basically operates the same as the UK system - 12, 20 weeks etc, whereas the OBGYN I was with before was scanning me all the time. Has anyone thought of venturing to one of these 'Bumps and Babes' things? ;) Just wondering if it's worthwhile. I am going to meet with some women this week at a Nappycino (!). It's to discuss and get advice on using cloth nappies. I'm really set on not using disposables (lol) and, this being Dubai, I figured I'd better start to look into it at an early stage. Anyway, nice to have contact with some people who will have new babies around Oct / Nov! :)

It's such a shame that there are no birthing pools here in the Dubai. :( AndreaA - I wonder if you would mind if I emailed you (sorry for hijacking the thread)? I am in the process of looking into Doulas and also, I'd be interested in hearing any information you have regarding what hospitals have what facilities. Many thanks!
