it says they can't be used on the two eids, valentine's day, new years eve, christmas etc in the beginning of the book, where the terms and conditions are.. maybe some places will be ok with them though if you call and ask.

if you have marks on the wooden slates, you could have termites. the only solution to that is calling in professionals to check and see. the problem is termites always manage to come back, so you should get rid of the whole bed as soon as you can.

About the banks, just get a power-of-attorney in your name signed by your husband, and keep a copy of it with you. Interesting question though emily1984, never thought the courts would take the child away from the mother in this case, but you never know here.

I love Dubai because - DS has 14 different nationalities in his class, and to them, they are all the same, it's normal - they are growing up with such diversity round them soooo true .. i can actually explain and [i'>show[/i'> my kids that there are all kinds of people in the world :)

parkernz does Child's Play have a mix of children of different nationalities? I liked that Small World had that, Willow to a lesser extent. I could only go see Child's Play a little late in the day and most of the kids had left.

been using vaseline for more than twenty years, don't think my lips have gotten darker; haven't had any other problems either. i use the tasteless one so i don't eat it off my lips (as i do with flavored balms).

Lol the Lady who runs Willow used to run the other two, so I guess they would be a bit similar. My DD went to Willow and I really liked it, so I would rcmd them. I'm just looking at my DS starting there at the end of the year, altough it is a bit of a hike from AR. hehe, I know, I really like Jan. You can tell she genuinely cares about children. I think that's the reason I liked these three places. Does anyone know how Small World and Child's Play are doing now with the new head? Are your kids happy there with the new staff?

my doc told me to take a tbsp each of coconut, beetroot, carrot and brown sugar, blend it up and squeeze and strain out the juice. add a couple drops of lemon juice, and have it every alternate day. haven't tried it yet though, if you do let me know if it works!

only during pregnancy.. other than that i think if you have a good diet, eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies cooked at home, milk, fresh cheese, meat, fish etc then you shouldn't really need pills .. but i do think i should take a multivit once a week just in case though.

Wow-- which supermarket is this? I think that people get a bit too upset over grape-samplers but opening packets is really out of line! I tend to witness "improper sampling behaviour" at buffets, e.g. (1) picking up and squeezing every bread roll before selecting one, (2) picking up a crêpe, sniffing it, taking a bite, not liking it and flinging it back in the chafing dish, (3) tasting a salad-bar item directly from the serving spoon and putting the spoon back into the serving bowl... Nice! ew, eww, and ewww! :\: couple of days back at moe carrefour there were people in the fruit & veg aisles peeling oranges and bananas and eating them, then throwing the peels on the floor. they really need to place guards there instead of at the entrances, it's a free picnic for some!

yes, along with ralph lauren, mothercare, h&m, banana republic, dkny, gap etc. not to mention the conditions of the kids making your hand-knotted carpets. just because you paid a higher price for the good, don't clear your conscience - you're not paying higher to the kids making the goods, you're paying higher to the brand which is just getting greater profits.

It's the ethics of it all thou...... if you wanna support crime and child labour to save a few quid; go ahead. that's not true. all your major brands get their stuff made in third world countries, all in sweat shops, all with little kids doing the work. edited by square whisk on 01/02/2012

I agree with the others, nursery is not generally paid for by companies, those that do pay for education pay for FS1 onwards. There are also differences among companies in what they pay for schooling to each individual; eg: depending on nationality; if you are a British passport holder, the company pays you the fees for a British school, if Indian passport holder, the company pays the fees for an Indian school. Companies also often cap out the amount they pay according to the grade; eg: 40k for FS1 and FS2, 50k for grade 1-4, etc edited by square whisk on 25/01/2012

it's the "unique manuka factor". what makes umf manuka honey special is: in normal manuka (without umf), there are antibacterial properties (as are there in a lot of honeys), but in umf manuka honey, there are antibacterial properties (natural hydrogen peroxide) plus umf, the manuka honeys own special antibacterial agent. so the higher the umf rating, the higher the therapeutic strength of the honey. that is why if you want the benefits, you should go for ACTIVE manuka honey with a umf rating of atleast 10. the higher you go, the better the anitbacterial properties, so the better it is health wise. if you want an everyday honey, go for manuka honey without umf (available at m&s). if you want the special stuff, holland and b(g?)arrett at micc have a great range, starting from umf 5+

Well, she could be going through a lot too, and sometimes things just boil over, and you start remembering every little thing from the past. Not saying it's very mature, but maybe that's the way she handled it.

That's because the franchiser has the right to revoke the franchisee's license. The franchisees try and get away with these things, but if you complain to the head offices, they'll be set straight.

What got me thinking was the number of trips she took to see her first husband. If your husband had left you like that "without a dirham", sent you packing off, used you for your passport, abused you, and never thought of getting in touch with you, would you go all the way to see him so often? My only concern is I think she's been feeding her daughter these stories (had you been a boy your father would've loved you and never left me), or said something else to that effect. A child of four has to have a push from somewhere. And she kept repeating how she would divorce her husband if he moved, there are lots of other ways to handle the situation, why go straight to divorce?
