Thank you :-) Friends about to use Fly Movers this weekend, will let you know how t goes for them, its a short move within Dubai How did you get on? I used Fly Movers today for the second year running and they always do a good job no matter how big or small. And definitely the most reasonable out there!

I had a 1 bed + study in Golf Tower 1 for two years...but sadly had to move out due to crazy rent prices going up! I had no issues, really loved it there. Great security, amazing pool, thick walls. Lovely building.

I have a MacBook Pro and considered the Air originally, but the Air does not have a CD/DVD drive and also has less USB ports, so it really depends whether you need these.

Just wanted to give my review - used Fly Movers for the first time on Friday. They offered me the cheapest price out of everyone I called (AED 700) and they were super quick! I had everything packed, moved out, moved in by 3pm (they arrived at 9am). They even connected my washer/dryer and dishwasher for me. I will definitely use them again.

Did you give your work address or your work PO box address, no parcels get delivered to street address without a courier. Thanks Polly. I gave my work address including PO Box...

My friend sent a large package of clothes to me a month ago from Europe. They advised it had arrived in Dubai a week later but I still have not received it. I believe it was sent via normal post and I gave my work address so I would definitely be here to get it. Any ideas on what to do in this situation? Do I contact Emirates Post? My parents send birthday cards to me in March and I never received them either :( Thanks

I am looking for a 1 - bedroom apartment with a budget of 70K in jlt, marina, tecom or the greens. Yesterday I looked around some in jlt with some estate agents but I found them to be flaky unreliable and only interested in telling me about the more expensive apartments. I thought a good solution would be to visit some buildings and speak to the security guards. I've been advised this is the best way to avoid the chasing the estate agents around the community. Does anyone here know of anyone moving out of a 1 bed in the next month or 2 that I could get in touch with about seeing their apartment (before the agents get their hands on it!) Any help would be great. Thanks ladies! I am in exactly the same position as you and looking in those same areas. I do not have to be out until end of August but hate dealing with these agents - I really want to get one direct with the LL this time! Do let me know how you get on!

has anyone mentioned that you have Rosacea? it sounds like you do. if you do a search on here for rosacea it will pull up a few threads where Dr's are recommended. Best to see a Dr. before trying any home remedy. Clean your face with Cetaphil or something equally as mild. Use a moisurizer such as Q creme without fragrance etc.... sunblock with uva/uvb protection. Hopefully you will be able to see a Dr. quickly. i know it can be very uncomfortable. Mine started 4 years ago with a small rash beside my nose that would not heal...that was it....used Metrocreme from the Dr. and it was gone. Unfortunately this lastmonth it has come bck with the pimples :(.....anyway, good luck getting whatever it is cleared up :) Thanks so much! Yes I just did a quick search and those sound like my symptoms...it started with a small rash by my nose and on the eyelid and spread to my whole face. I have now booked to see a specialist tomorrow....fingers crossed he can help me - I just need it gone!

Highly recommend my good friend Bob Bhowmik from LIME - he has advised me and my friends over the last few years and there is absolutely no pressure (unlike the constant sales calls I get from ****** Group!). His number is: 050 889 4731. [email protected]

Oh yes, heard good things re the Dove stuff. Which Lulus did you find it in? Al Barsha....but it was a while ago now! It is definitely me favourite tanner, no streaks at all and gives you a nice glow :)

St Tropez Gradual Tanner is sold in Harvey Nichols. I like the face cream. I prefer Dove Summer Glow...and always stock up when I go back to the UK - I think the only place I might have seen it here is in Lulus.

I have been doing the 5:2 eating plan since before Xmas...and it is now a way of life for me. I work it around my lifestyle - some weeks I can only do one day due to work commitments and around Xmas I did not do it at all! Overall I have noticed a difference in my body - my clothes are looser and I have lost half a stone so far. Both my parents have been doing it since September after watching the documentary and my father has lost 2 stone and my mother has lost 1 stone. On non-fast days I eat whatever I want...and I feel that this is reward enough for feeling hungry on fast days! Maybe it's not for everyone, but it's certainly working for me! :)

I used Microgynon for years before moving out here. I now use Marvelon...though it took me a good couple of months for my body to get used to it (experienced spotting in the first month), but I feel fine now and have not had an negative side effects. I think the reason it is no longer on sale here is because it can also be used for emergency contraceptive. Its a pain though as I had been on it over 10 years!

Agency is usually heaving on a Wednesday...what about the Rivington Bar or Leftbank if you want the Madinat, or Buddha Bar... yes I do not want anywhere too busy - nothing worse when you are trying to talk to someone and cannot sit down! Rivington Bar is really nice actually - good call

Yes I used a voucher there. I had air flow cleaning and scaling etc. The dentist (may have been Dr Ibrahim as there was only one there!) was a bit rough and made my gums bleed, the dental nurse was useless in her attempt to remove all the water from my mouth during the cleaning. On the positive side, they were very thorough, but it was all a bit uncomfortable to be honest.

Okay here are my directions, I hope you can understand them! :) From JLT go on SZR towards Dubai. Take Al Manara exit (after MOE) keep to the right towards Al Quoz. When you get to the traffic lights in Al Quoz take a left and, continue to the end of the road and keep right, taking the right turn past Al Khaleej building. Continue down this road until you get to more traffic lights with Al Khail Mall on your left. Continue straight over the traffic lights and Al Khail Gate is on your left.

I have lived in the Greens for almost a year now and I don't think I will ever leave! I live in one of the high rise buildings close to the shopping centre and mosque - I cannot even hear the mosque now - you do get used to it. The area is very family friendly, I fell very safe and you have everything you need on your doorstep. Highly recommend it! :)
