yes and yes. :) FF try to avoid euthanasia whenever possible. It is the way it will possibly be done if necessary that FF want to avoid by asking for more time.

Irooni, you could keep a record of everything you eat for 2 weeks and I mean everything that passes your lips, including gum and drinks. You might just find that there are a few things that have been creeping back into your eating plan. It does happen to all of us and just needs to be tweeked again :)..so, take a look at what you are eating and see if things are creeping :)

good advice. now, your son saying 'why would you hurt your brother' is doing nothing lol...yelling a loud NO! while firmly moving her away might. She might have to also have a time out and be put into a room by herself with food and litter. As snowflake says, watch the signs and never use your hand with her, not even those hand toys with long fingers.....(stupid toys if your cat is a biter lol) She has had a rough start to her life and she is young. Yup, she has and is but...make sure you do not overcompensate for her with bad behaviour. Just like a child who has been born with a disadvantage. It does them no good to be coddled and spoiled so let the kitten know who is boss and she will know who the dominant person is, and it aint her lol

Irooni, 60-90 of ridgid cardio a day is not necessary. Maybe the problem is that you are looking at a huge chunk of exercise a day and just cannot fit that in. You have to change your idea of working out. Make a schedule and timeline of everything you need to do each day. The maid can get alot of the chopping, marinating table setting and other grunt work done so when you get home, you have very little to do for dinner. Dinner should not take more than 15 min to prepare. For breakfast do muesli the night before. Pour the dried muesli into milk and let it sit overnight, dish it out either nuked or cold in the am, with yogurt and fruit...5 min to get together. Lay out the clothes for the children the night before. If they are picky, lay out 2 sets and let them pick but no arguing in the morning. Take advantage of the classes at work. Do 1/2 hr, then quick shower and you are good to go. After the kids are in bed, you and your husband go to the gym or go for a brisk walk. Take the stairs wherever you go. You will be surprised at the end of the month that you have gotten out of the plateau by just doing little changes. Just do it! that 1st step is the hardest.

I was remembering poor Scottie's face when he was announced lol...even he was stunned, shocked and amazed that he was not cut but James was! it will now be gripping to see who wins! I think Haley has ticked off the voters because of her attitude of "I am great" and her interuptions when the judges are givng her feedback..but, so far she is still in there.

we make time to exercise. Break it up into 10 min segments 3 times a day. Brisk walk out the door for 5 then back for 5. take the stairs and forget elevators. walk over to your gym and back..if you cant do 30 min a day then break it up. Chances are you will find yourself doing more once you start, honestly :)...put on some good music and dance with your kids, or yourself...see, there is lots of minutes in your day you can slot in exercise. The whole idea is to be active.

popsicle, my husband has travelled for as long as we have been together (34 years) and I have never had a problem pouring myself a drink even when there were children. I sure dont think you are being irresponsible unless of course, you drink yourself stupid, then you would be :0. Put your feet up, lock all the doors, turn on the T.V. or whatever and enjoy it :)

Miss Penelope has been joined by SweetPea. Sweetpea is a tiny girl of about 6 weeks. All white, cute as a button. Now how wonderful if they went together :). Sweetpea is an FF kitten whom I am babysitting for Assisi for a week. there is a 'stand off'at the OK Corral at the moment but I bet, by tomorrow night, they will be sleeping together :) <em>edited by SueB on 13/05/2011</em>

best to be upfront about your pregnancy, especially as you are 24 weeks!! if they ask to meet you, they will see you are pregnant unless you can do a darn good job of hiding it. They might be pretty ticked off when they find out you will only be on the job 3 months before delivery. Honestly, there are probably people out there that also need the job and can give it 100% and not pregnant. Why not wait until your child is born, get daycare lined up and proceed from there?

what Laura says lol....and if they are eating pretty good and milking sometimes (stress, tired) then you can spay the mom (side spay though) she will be gone a day and kept away from her babies overnight for her recovery then back with babies. At this time the milking will quckly get less and less. Start looking for homes now but dont let them leave until at least 8 week, 12 is the best. If you have people who want one they have to be willing to wait but can visit lol..... litter boxes as Laura said is good. Get 2 or even 3 small ones as mom might decide to use one as well. Put newspaper under, especially for the first week as they will walk in it lol. you will have to possibly put them in the box and as soon as one goes, the rest will follow, so mum might pee first lol...anyway

the first thing, if the kittens are weaning, is to get the mother spayed in about 2 weeks. Feline Friends can help with that, please call them, explain and leave your phone #. Are you handling the kittens? will they let you pick them up? are they sociable? please handle as much as you can so they will be homeable. As Laura says, take pictures and put up a link here but they have to stay with their mother for another month. Do they have shelter of the storeroom? If you can, to help the kittens wean pick up some Baby Mousse from a vet, mix 1/2 the can with warm water so it is watery, put in a plastic plate and help the kittens to it by putting some on your finger while gently holding it over the food so they get the idea of the smell :)...within a week they should be eating along with feeding off mom. Reduce the amount of water and mix in some crushed baby dry food so it gets soggy .....by 2 weeks they should be able to eat soggy dry food (you have to fluff it up lol) until they are only having some wet but mostly dry by the end of the month. I tend not to give kittens whiskers as it seems to give them loose poop. The better the food, the healthier the kittens, and mom will be eating it as well but feed her separately or kittens wont get their wet. So, you are now preparing for their departure in a month. <em>edited by SueB on 12/05/2011</em>

Well, no one has come to see Miss Penelope :(...She has quieted down 90%, now just chats now and then, loves to play with all the toys, gave the dog a kiss on the nose, loves to sit on your shoulder and be cuddled. Now, no stuffed animal can do all those things plus keep your feet warm at night if necessary, or be a neck warmer if chilly. So there you have it, the purrrrfect kitten for your home :)

If you phoned your husband and started yelling at him about what happened he will be defensive and angry. I would be defensive and angry. If you called and told him a very unfortunate thing happened and it is now all smashed over the floor and you are upset and leave it at that until he gets home, then he might have responded like ""oh s h i t, that was not very smart on my part to do that, I am sorry, I didnt think" then when all is settled work out who pays for what because honestly i agree that you might have put the value of things higher than your husbands feelings. Calm down and rethink....you did ask :)

s.miller recommended a silk carpet cleaner. I will check him out as I has sent my carpet to another cleaner and they had no clue. So, on this occassion thanks as I would rather a recommendation than the yellow pages. It is not as if this s.miller is on every thread and the recommendations could turn out to be good one. Just like hair salons, tanning salons and alot of these have been pulled back up by old posters...so a bit of recommendations now and then?

having socialized quite a few feral kittens I know it is a tough job. They tend to bond to the person who feeds them the most. They should and must be exposed to alot of people and noises as quikly as possible. not sure but...consistancy. When she pounces, make sure you have toys that she can pounce on...clumb. and beat up. Never use your hands unless to stroke her and only for a short time. Sounds as if she is attacking prey and might take a bit of time but have lots of big things she can attack and at hand. lets see, I have flown regularily with a good amount of airlines in my travels and if I am not mistaken, not all sectors are always full, some sectors are habitually 1/2 full, some stuffed to the rafters and others can go either way. It is the same with all airlines, not just Emirates. I think at this point I would take my chances with Emirates over the óther'airline that is continually going on strike, threatening to go on strick, rumbling about going on strike and complaining about their airline and how it treats their staff like cr ap.......so..go ahead, keep Emirates front and center if you like :)

The same reason EK pilots work longer flight hours than most other countries, MONEY. My DH (EK pilot) definitely works less hours than he did in our home country. And for less money. But quality of life makes it very worthwhile for us. Wonderful, hope you enjoy it. However the motivating factor is for the majority MONEY. but from I am hearing on here, the hours are pretty cra p and the money is not much better. My husband is actually home alot more here than in Canada so it is win win here, for us. (oh right, and the money is pretty good comparitively and no taxes..) <em>edited by SueB on 10/05/2011</em>

There is a dog Jessie who is getting pretty desperate. 2 persians who need a 6 month temporary home until they can be shipped to the U.K. Those are the pretty desperate ones at the moment, if you can help out please contact. I am sure Jessie the dog can be fostered for now, people leaving mid june, trying for over 6 months to find a home. Quite a few other animals, turtles etc :)....
