Miss issippi, tough it is and tougher the decision you had to make :).....so step one is done. You made the decision to change your lifestyle. Step 2 is deciding how you are going to do it :0.....It can be difficult deciding the quickest way...jump into a tough class that might be well above your fitness level at the moment, or something that you actually enjoy doing a enjoy. Ask yourself what it was that motivated you before, when you kept fit? was it running, walking, being outside, working together in a group, or by yourself...did you love to dance, move to the music? what brought a smile to you, what made you feel good and want to do again? If you think about this, you might lean toward the things that make you feel good about yourself. You did not say how overweight you are, nor your age. If you are morbidly obese and find walking for any length of time work on this formula. One step at a time. Go out the door for 15 min and walk back for 15 min. If you can do that, each day increase the distance. See, you are only out for 15 min and then going home. while you are out, you are getting fresh air which will help with your emotions. You can find great music on the internet to download to iphone/ipad/ipod that will motivate you and help you move...interval work is wonderful.. so you could start today doing that. Take the stairs, go for a walk at lunch, park 15 min away from the office...lots of ways to build exercise into your life and when you figure out what you love to do and start doing it,you will be ready to give it 100%...just a thought....just move :)

Hi giggles57 :)....I have been known to stick my head in the freezer lol. All kidding aside because they come at the most inconvenient times :).....take a small plastic baggie, wet a facecloth and stick it in the baggie and put in the freezer. When you go out put the baggie in another baggie so your purse does not get wet. When you flash take out the cold cloth and put on your neck after dabbing your face. Get a little fan. They sell them at the checkout counter at Marks and Spencers. I have 4, the fit in your bag, perfect. Buy a proper paper fan and stick in purse. Also have them laying around the house when needed. Try evening primrose oil either in pill form or oil. oil you can put a drop or 2 in your moisturizer. Keep a small container of foundation in bag for touch up. If you think you can do without foundation go and get some CC cream.. it helps even out skin tone, you can also get it tinted. Chanel does one... :) In an emergency, slap a bag of peas on neck. In a real emergency, take off your clothes and stand under a cold shower. Wear layers. why are you off hrt? you can try vaginal hrt in cream or pill... it does help but you are not passing so much estrogen into your body and keeps your lady bits plump lol and help with the sweats.

Jack the little scoundrel has a family. They live in the area. He always looks scruffy. He is a mooch. They are picking him up at the vets to take him home. I imagine thedrushr will be seeing more of Jack lol. Thanks to thekrushr for caring enough to find out if he belongs to someone :) wish more people would do that :0

Is there any chance that your husband could take him to a vet for a chip check? what part of AR are you in? we have lots of people there who are looking for someone who lost Jack :)....he could of course been taken from somewhere else in dubai and dumped there...but with his name and phone number attached I doubt it would be his owners .....and he probably has a chip :) Thanks Plum2...if you could send me the poster if possible? take a pic with your iPad then forward to me?

this is very sad :(. I am thinking that if you did have a child, could you be the breadwinner for you and the child? I would be wary of having to rely on your husband. The next thing I am thinking is your husband has given a timeline to get pregnant. I am thinking along the lines of another poster that your husband has had a vasectomy and not sharing so is quite happy to tell you he wants one but within a timeline. Honestly, this does not sound like good father material, lots of rules :(.....so the bottom line, if you want a child have yourself checked and if you are good, then have him checked. The Dr. should know if he is shooting blanks. Good luck.

I dont think you should be afraid of the maid if you tell her she is going with you. If you are afraid of the repercussions then let her go. She was hired to do a job and if that job means going with you for 3 months and doing the job in an other country so be it. Personally, I would not have asked but told her where she would be living for 3 months. If you leave without her I hope you change the locks on your house and tell her she can then live with her father for the duration but certainly not live in the house for 3 months alone. I am pretty fair but gosh, I do think you are spending way too much time on this employee. You need her and are paying her salary no matter where she works. I feel there is more to this story with her :(...

How very sad :(.... his sponsor should be paying to repatriate the husband to the home country. You will send her home with him on your dime if you choose (I assume you will :) usually (if I remember correctly) the sponsor has all the information i.e., passport, information to repatriate the body. Once the body is released I do not believe she really has anything to do except get on the same plane. You can help by making sure someone is at the airport to collect the body and wife to the place of burial and arrange for her flight. You must ask what she wants to do, give her access to the phone to make arrangements at the other end and help her financially if possible. Awful for her, just heartbreaking :(...how kind that you will be taking care of her, a lot would not :(

I 'believe' that a widower or a divorced man with children can sponsor a maid/nanny. I 'believe' they can also bring a domestic from their home country if they can prove they are not a relative. If he is looking for a western person then he needs to look for a proper nanny that is trained. There are trained nannies here, if you ask in a separate thread they might reply. They are not maids.. He of course will pay alot more but his son will be much better taken care of I think. I would suggest he go and ask the question. There are quite a few western men here taking care of children either full time or part time and they are allowed nannies/maids. Did a search and I understand an agency called Simply Angelic has western nannys. Cannot tell you more than that :)...good luck to him. Hopefully he will find someone to fit the bill but, he will have to sponsor I am afraid.

little pillows on each side of the baby or hot water bottles might help him sleep. He has been sleeping with a nice cozy warm body and as you say 'snacks' so putting his crib beside you with body pillows (he can turn his head and flip over now so should be fine)and hot water bottle should make him feel he is still cuddling with you :).....as for the little one, you could try putting a little mattress in your room for awhile and have her sleep there to see if she still wakes. It could be she wants to be with the family and is alone in her room while her brother, mum and dad are all together, just a thought.

cut off a length of your hair and tie it with an elastic and give it to him? pin it to his pillow??? Alamaneia, It is not your daughter who want to stay in the room by the sounds of it, it is you :) since she has been sleeping alone since 3 months and now 2.5 it would not really be co-sleeping, but reassurance sleeping for mum. If she was fine in her room before, put her back and do not open the window but i have a feeling you will find something else to have her in your room :)....but personally, I would put her back as she was fine in her room. Maybe she has an allergic cough in her room because it is messy lol

I think you have been carrying one heck of a load for the past while and it is now catching up with you. You are only 19 and at the beginning of maturity and been given a job that can be overwhelming. Your family relied on you to care for them, your brother got a job and lost it...your father got a job and you decided to take a month off. Right now it sounds as if you are paralyzed mentally, overwhelmed with what has been going on in your life and you are shutting down. You also could be having depression which would not be surprising in this situation and unable to cope. You need some help and obviously are not getting it. There are some great therapist around who could help, often just having someone to unload on who is unbiased can be a wonderful help. I also do not think this forum can help all that much as I personally feel you do need more than friends to lean on right now. Hopefully there will be good solid recommendations on this thread to help direct you to a place where you can learn to be light again :)

I have also been looking for cosmetic grade beeswax, to no avail. My son is coming at Christmas and will bring me some. If he does not mind and his luggage is underweight I could have him bring another kilo if he gets it?? No, you should not use arts and crafts beeswax, it is not pure and clean as cosmetic. edited by SueB on 11/12/2013

I have one and so do a lot of people I know. We got it to see how we were sleeping and to make sure we were hiting at least 10,000 steps a day :0...it has good apps, a nutrition section to chart your food intake etc. Anyway, we really like it, easy to use and pretty accurate :). All depends on what you are looking for. We did research the Nike and another but this is the one that did what we were looking for. Support is also great. If you can get it in your home country or have it sent it is cheaper than here but not so dear it is not affordable.

Great post RuthM...so well written! Izzyontheseat. You chose a rescue dog the same way you choose a dog from a breeder. Carefully. Make sure the dog is a good fit for your family. Spend a lot of time with the dog, lots of visits to the dog you choose, taking the dog for walks, even have a behaviourist come and help evaluate the dogs temperment. All this before you take the dog home. You do not just go to the kennel, see a dog who seems to be happy, spend an hour or so then say, "right, I will take this one" you need to put effort into it. btw..dogs from from breeders can also hate men and also bite posties in the bum. There are also breedes of dogs who will kill, especially if not trained well. And..let me add....it is the responsibility of EVERY dog owner to train their dog well and know what the dogs hot buttons are and be aware. After all, a dog is not a person, a dog is a dog and has big teeth whether it is a puppy or full grown animal. Doubting thomas, people ask questions because they are looking for answers. On this subject of buying a puppy they most likely will not get the answer they want. In this case there was alot of great information from RuthM. No one jumped on the OP, no one castigated her for asking. She was given different opinions. I am sure she was not insulted. Asking questions on a forum does not mean you get what you want but you might get information you were not aware of...your choice to take the chance :)

I usually go every year and every year is different. The Falcon Gallery is open all year and supply a good amount of hotels etc with decorations for whatever season or reason :)....It is not like antique museum and that is the first time I heard they were owned by the same group. I met the owner last year, the british lady (she said she was the owner). I agree, last year was an off year but..I have been going for nearly 11 years so I guess 1 or 2 not so wonderful years is not a problem. Anyway, please go and see it...doubt if they have finished decorating but I usually do 2 trips just to see what is new :).......I have gotten some beautiful unique things there and the displays can be lovely so go and if you think it is **** then at least you can say 'you think it is **** ' without listening to someone else saying it is **** and not going lol

one of the kitties I posted, Sally is in dire straites. One of my cats attacked her last night and hit a bone. The attack cat lost a tooth :( so Sally is in quaranteen again when I am not there or the other cat is in the house. Sally is really a lovely cat and would make a family so very happy. She is not a cat that is troublesome, like to play but loves to be beside you. She is not loud and noisy, she is not a picky eater and will only add her wonderfulness to your family. She will be fine with older kids although a gentler toddle could work. She tried to friend our dog but the dog won't have it and she is slowly becoming tolerable to the other house cat. She is really having a rough time right now and I would be so happy to have her in a loving family where her personality can shine. If you would like to meet her please let me know. She has been spayed and 1st shots and chipped. She is blind on one side but that does not hinder her and you dont even notice. So, Sally needs a family. She is the grey and white kitty with what looks like a dirty face lol....thanks for reading :)
