it really does not matter what any of us think but it should matter that you hear your girl. seems she would be happy in anything that 'resembles' a bra so, go for it. Have a 'bra' decorating party, put ribbons, tiny sparkles whatever on it, celebrate it even if she does not need it, she wants to feel part of it all ;)....(you can have a white vest cut down, elastic put in, dye it, sparkle it, ribbon it, whatever and I bet all the other girls will be so jealous of her excellent 'bra'.

you are going to have to give your old girl a bit more attention right now to make her feel she is not be replaced by a younger version :). A good safe way to introduce is to put the baby in a big cat box and bring her into where the family sits or where the older cat is found most of the time. Let her hiss all she wants and she will eventually go and smell the box and hiss...get closer and sit and hiss lol....but she will get used to having the little one around. The kitten is most likely fine or will be quickly as she wants to play. you can put some tasty morsel like tuna in a dish for the old girl close to the box and give the baby a dish also. With some cats they get over it quickly and others it takes time. Lots of affection to the old one when you are sitting between them on the floor with the tuna lol.... also, bring the cat box into the room without the kitten in it so the old one can smell the inside. Once she is used to the baby things should settle but as MaryCatherine says, do not leave them unsupervised once both out of cage until they do noses without hissing :)

what part of Toronto. What is you budget. try www.booking.com they seem to have the best prices, hotel.com have the worst. You can also try www.airbnb.com people rent out their homes or condos. I used it for 3 days and not bad at all. With kids it might be good but no pools etc. downtown is more expensive. Are you renting a car?

actually, it was in the newspapers about 6 months ago if I remember. There used to be 20kph but now it is 1 under 10. speeds for secondary roads is 40 ie side streets unless posted. According to this I was partially wrong,I must look for the one that i quoted lol.... http://www.emirates247.com/news/emirates/what-are-speed-grace-margins-for-dubai-roads-2012-08-09-1.470834 Depends on the road you are on????? It appears I jumped the gun but....this will probably soon to be law. if not already in parts? http://www.zawya.com/story/Reduce_speed_now_Dubais_top_speed_limit_set_to_be_axed-ZAWYA20130528033657/ edited by SueB on 09/06/2013 <em>edited by SueB on 09/06/2013</em>

yup, that's the way to play it lol...Hot and Saucy...no mother can compete with that...Quinn10 is right, whoever controls the ..... controls the man lol...we might not agree with it and it might go against the grain for alot of us,but, that is not our culture, it is the OP's and as they say, 'needs must' :)

please post the law that we are not allowed to share the fact a speed camera is going off like christmas lights and please stick to the speed limit???? There is a new law that the speed cameras will now record at 10km over the posted limit. So, if you are travelling at 70 and the limit is 60...tag you're it!! just go 69 and you will be fine, no fine. You will not get in trouble for posting this.

I would suck up to him....give him the absolute hottest *** and really make him drool over me, and control him like this...... you just need to control him and let him see that you are the better woman in his life. Send him saucy messages all day long. Spend hours upon hours with him in your own room......leaving his mother to fester. But does he really deserve that? The OP would have to lie through her teeth to do that. He does not deserve it! but.....from what the OP as written so far and the culture she is from I would say, she might have to do it to get what she needs. I might think of it as more self preservation. She ultimately wants him on her side and not his mother's. she has a couple of things the mother does not. A child, being young, able to be intimate with her son which can also equal control if necessary. Her culture allows her husbands family to treat her like this, it seems there is no choice for her but to turn the tables. A mother has no place inside a marriage of her children. The wife must find a way to work with it to get what she needs and ignore everything else.

Never make failure an option. Here's a good example of why: http://theweek.com/article/index/99512/the-last-word-he-said-he-was-leaving-she-ignored-him edited by Chi2dxb on 09/06/2013 Thanks for posting this. Even after being with my man for 35 years I still learn things. This story will not suit everyone but, even if one person reads it, steps back and tries not to fall apart at that moment...says 'I don't buy it' and asks the questions on how to make room etc....it could work and if it does, for one family to be able to stay together in a healthy way, then it was worth taking the time to read and reread and step away, if just for a moment :)

my parents packed the car for a 2 week vacation at a cottage. they were half way there when my mother supposedly screamed "My God!!!! we forgot susan at home" I imagine it was a very fast drive back. there I was, 1.5 hrs later still sitting on the the chair they put me in...could have been worse. It does happen to people unfortunately :(.....hopefully it also reminds others to make sure everyone is out of the car....or put a sign in the from to look n the back.

I am embarrassed for my poor dog. She is all white, gentle girl, asks to be loved, fed and walked...we do all those things happily because we love her to bits. The shameful thing is our lack of care with her grooming ...I don't know why, honestly. If we see the brush she gets a lick and a promise as my mum used to say but.....her fur needs more sooooooooooooooo, we take her to Julia. Julia has been doing many pooches and wild cats (they were only wild once in the door but she put a stop that that in short work lol) and they leave with a (the cats not the dogs) a bit of a ****** off look but stunning.... I digress. Anyway, if you are looking for a great groomer, who absolutely loves her work, UK trained and all the dogs leap to love her when the see her give her a ring.....she is at http://tinyurl.com/phesudy but you can make your appt directly with her at 050 8347063. My Shadow always come home bright white and sparkly.....I am pretty happy with her and her prices are competetive...and...she will do pick up if necessary. <em>edited by SueB on 26/05/2013</em>

M in Dubai, have you done alot of reading on what to expect? Who will train the caregivers so they also know what to expect before it happens? If he is wandering in the day it will be shortly before he does Sundowning and also wandering at night. you must make precautions, ie, making sure he cannot turn on the cooker so it needs to be child locked. The doors much be locked so he cannot get out and wander off. He needs to have an ID bracelet with his information as well as the fact he has Alzheimers. Are there any neighbours who can keep an eye out if they see him in the street alone? It is great that he will have a companion during the day as they can take him walkabout and keep him busy with supervision. Early onset usually progresses much quicker than older alzheimers patients. You might want to employ a full time person, ie housekeeper who can be of help, especially at night. What are you going to do when he is unable to be at home or needs 24 hr supervision ie, diapering, bathing, changing etc. You must also be aware of mood changes that he will go through and I am sure he is going through right now :(.... M in Dubai, if you ever want to get together please let me know. There are also other woman on here that I am sure could be a support, if not physically but emotionally. It is a hard road you are travelling. Bless. this info might help a future caregiver http://www.neurology.ae/disorder_details.php?ID=1 more info here in dubai: http://www.4get-me-not.org/ http://www.pcgdubai.net/2013/04/filipino-leads-campaign-on-alzheimers-disease-in-dubai/ http://www.4get-me-not.org/inner-page.php?id=9 it seems that www.4get-me-not.org is the place to start to fine support!!! please keep us posted M and for any help please call out :) edited by SueB on 10/05/2013 edited by SueB on 10/05/2013 edited by SueB on 10/05/2013 <em>edited by SueB on 10/05/2013</em>

Remove the rugs she has peed on or she will continue to pee on them. Once she is totally trained you can put down new rugs that do not have any amonia smell to attract her/him. Sounds like she is very young and you might as well just remove what you cannot control at the moment. She will learn. One step at a time :0 less stress for puppy and for you :)

they can be done at 4 months or more but the recommended it 5 and over. 2 months is not done at all, well, I suppose someone would do it but I highly doubt it as that is way too young. Some vets still do the tummy incision but either side or tummy it will be shaved in a big square, cant miss it...it takes quite a while to grow back. The ear clip could be obvious but in a kitten that young it will grow fast so as the kitten grows the cut will/could become less obvious.

has anyone mentioned that you have Rosacea? it sounds like you do. if you do a search on here for rosacea it will pull up a few threads where Dr's are recommended. Best to see a Dr. before trying any home remedy. Clean your face with Cetaphil or something equally as mild. Use a moisurizer such as Q creme without fragrance etc.... sunblock with uva/uvb protection. Hopefully you will be able to see a Dr. quickly. i know it can be very uncomfortable. Mine started 4 years ago with a small rash beside my nose that would not heal...that was it....used Metrocreme from the Dr. and it was gone. Unfortunately this lastmonth it has come bck with the pimples :(.....anyway, good luck getting whatever it is cleared up :)

when you are at work, does she have the run of the house or does she have an area she is blocked into? Dogs will not soil their sleeping quarters, normally.....but as a shelter dog, did she have access to the outside to poop and pee or did she do it in her sleeping quarters? Sounds like she needs a smaller space when you are gone for the day. Also possibly having someone come in the middle of the day to take er out and play could help. Crate training is best, especially as you are not there in the day..it might take time for her to get used to having a crate as her bed. You can leave the door open when you are in the same room as she is, but when you leave the room the door is closed until she stopped pooping in the house.

Dr millicent Grimm did mine. I had early cataract surgery as they do not recommend waiting now as waiting for the cataract to become 'ripe' as they say can impact vision without knowing it. Also, with all the new technology today there is no reason to wait. Have it done early and improve your vision. I found this article that helps explain it. http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/cataract-surgery-experience.htm When the surgeon want to operate on the cataracts now, it does not mean he is rushing into it, it means that he is recommending doing it now rather than waiting..not to get more money :)

May I suggest that you do not get the puppy the same time as you are moving into a new home. The upheaval for the cats will already be highly stressed and having to face a new member of the family will just add to the stress. Your handicapped kitty is already shy and uncomfortable with new things and throwing a new puppy in the mix will not be a good thing. I would wait until the cats are comfortable in their new home and have made it theirs. This could be a couple of weeks to a couple of months. The cats will put the puppy in its place whether or not he is there when you move or not :) My opinion only and your kitties will thank you that they dont have to deal with packing, moving, new smells, new house, new area, upheaval, without a puppy who will want to play with them :) or... get the puppy a month before moving and intro them then. <em>edited by SueB on 20/04/2013</em>
