I got a pair in Gap - they are called Skimmers and are just above the ankle or you can turn them slightly shorter - I love them :)

Yes, there is one in Shorooq just as you go in Gate 2 - paper, plastic and cardboard. There is also a clothing recycling bin

I normally send in things like the mini croissants, cheese straws etc that you can get at any of the supermarkets and are quite cheap (normally buy enough for about 25 kids) or plain popcorn

This is the info I got from the organizers: Bjorn Again are due on stage at 9pm. Before their appearance there will be a couple of best dressed competitions with prizes from Air Miles ME and The Ivy! Fancy dress is optional but may be worthwhile!

HI, we have used Emirates unaccompanied minors numerous times - both for my stepdaughter coming from the UK to here and my two going back to the UK for the summer. My DD did it for the first time when she was 8 years old and loves it. I agree with everything Ilovewine stated in her comment, it's a great service, although you do have to pay adults fares for them

My DS (7) and DD (9) have done both of these summer camps before and preferred E Sports. I have registered them both for E Sports at Royal Dubai too

I have done as I had booked for tomorrow night with The Driver so cancelled and spoke to Saferdriver to re-book. They know what is going on but I assume there is little they can do. She told me they think the other compnay is not fully licensed but not sure if this is correct

I have just read this and realized I have been conned too - I got a message a while ago saying the number for Saferdriver had been changed to a freephone number so I saved it - I have just checked it our and it is for a company called The Driver not Saferdriver. Just cancelled my booked with The Driver and re-booked with Saferdriver as we have used then for a few years and trust them

Has anybody been through the process of holding your child back a year? I ask as we tried to arrange for my son to redo his year again last year and were not allowed to do it if he stayed in the same school, and even if we moved him to another school we were told we would have to get it approved by KHDA. (he was 6 at the time and the youngest - only 3 weeks short of the cut off)

Hi, I find that the kids hairdresser in Arabian Centre cuts my son's hair the best and trims my daughters - the guy in there listens to what you want and is very good and doesn't rush. The other one we use sometimes in the one in Bin Sougat but that tends to get very busy.

I took my mum to the Park Hyatt on Saturday and it was fantatsic - loads of superb food, unlimited tea and a glass of fizz each - it cost 220dhs for the 2 of us. We then went to The Terrace and had cocktails at sunset looking out over the Creek

I called Anise to book and they told me that since Ramadan they are not accepting the voucher for Fri brunch which is why I spoke to the Entertainer and got told they could change as it states buffet not brunch on the voucher

I spoke to the Entertainer about Anise stopping the use of the voucher for their Friday brunch - basically if it says 'Buffet' on the voucher the restaurant can change the terms and conditions whenever they want regarding Friday Brunch. If the voucher specifically states Brunch eg the monthly offers then they cannot change their mind

I was advised to always ask for a receipt as this gives you the drivers licence no etc so if you do have to make a complaint they can deal with it specifically. Also helps if you leave anything in the cab! Do their cab numbers and plate numbers appear on the receipt? yes they do and it is all the RTA need to be able to log a complaint / query

we did at the start of the year when they were doing it for 195dhs. The deals were good at the start as you got the more 'upmarket' brunches - we did Lattitude and Ritz Carlton DIFC. Since March time though I feel they have not been as good and not been worth the upgrade - we haven't downloaded any recently. You also have to be careful as many of them restrict you to using them with family members only so you can't take a group of freinds along unless they have upgraded too

Thanks for the advise but I have blonde hair and it is more like 'fluff' than thick hairs. I have very sensitive skin that reacts really badly to waxing and laser won't work on fair hair. I have being using a typical remover cream but wanted one specifically for the face. Only having to use it every 10 days and it only takes a couple of mins :)

We were there 3 weeks ago and it was lovely. The rooms are excellent - ask for a pool facing one. We had a buffet dinner which was average - not a huge choice but enough to fill you ;). The pool is good and looks out over the dunes, not a huge number of loungers. Service around the pool can be a bit slow but staff very pleasant. Not sure if you have kids - but nothing for them to do and the pool was too deep for most kids to stand up in - think it is 1.2m. The hotel is small but very relaxed and we came away feeling very chilled out :) We got a late check out too

All I had to do to renew my ID card (I hadn't updated mine since 2008 either) was go to an ID Card typing centre - they are listed on the website with my passport and ID card - they did the typing I paid 270dhs and they send all the forms off and I was told my new card would be with me in 4 weeks. Did this also for my maid and the kids

I have to admit my 2 LOs are 6 and 8 and find Mina a Salam too young for them. The best one is the Westin but is quite pricy. Another one my 2 enjoyed was JW Marriot in Deira. Ibn Battuta Gate is also supposed to be good
