Not sure if you are looking for kids stuff etc but I tend to find bits for stockings in Typo, Virgin, Daiso (very cheap). Best decoration choice is Ace Hardware (big one at Festival City)

Hi, I am a massive cross stitch lover and always have a project on to go. A lot of mine I do for home and gifts - love the Bothy Thread Range and also buy patterns to download from Etsy. Sewandso ship here: https://www.sewandso.co.uk/ https://hixxysoft.com/cross-stitch-kits/cross-stitch-kits/bothy-threads.html - I have recently been told about this company but not tried them yet I always hope for somebody to set up a social type group where you meet up one evening and sew whilst chatting etc - I have yet to find one ! I work full time and have 2 kids aged 11 and 13 and most of these types of meet ups are during the weekdays !

Don't bother with the St Regis one, parking rubbish, tiny market mainly selling fast food / drinks, few kiddy rides for toddlers. I have 2 older kids (11 and 13) and we stayed no more than 30min, although we did enjoy a walk along the new canal whilst we were down there !. Madinat much, much better and caters for all ages !

Just a note: booking on line does not save you queuing .... you still have to queue to the right hand side on the entrance - we went 2 weeks ago and the online booking queue was as long as the normal pay at entrance so saves no time

HI, we booked this one in Oct 2014, great location, you can walk to the London Eye, dungoeans and boat trips, sightseeing bus. The tube station was just across the road. Also Salisbury, Tesco Express nearby for food shopping https://www.citymarque.com/apartments/thames-view-serviced-apartments/

Hi, I disagree, we have already saved AED755 this year (have to admit thought we play golf which racks up the saving). I think as old places disappear new ones replace them, we have found some fab places because of entertainer vouchers. Last year we save AED 12,000 according to the app calculator which I know is approx. We have also used the hotel vouchers in the past in Kuala Lumpur and also Fujeirah. We have been buying the standard entertainer book and fine dining since moving here in 2007 and have never been disappointed

Yes, I do and have done for about 4 years now, got to target weight pretty quickly and have maintained it since :) The app is great when in the supermarket as you can check 'points' as you shop. I tend to use it mainly for recipe inspiration now and checking point values

Insurance companies will allow it but the police still may not accept it and you wouldn't know until you have an accident ! I looked into this recently and we ended up hiring a car for my visiting parents rather than them drive my car

I work in the same tower and there was a fire in Fitness First on Sunday lunchtime. Based on the number of fire trucks and smell of smoke I guess it will take a few days to sort things out and re-open

We stayed at The Melia, Bali all inclusive in April and got a great deal. The food was good and you had a choice of numerous restaurants. Kid clubs was good too. Pool lovely. http://www.booking.com/hotel/id/melia-bali-indonesia-all-inclusive.html http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g297698-d302653-Reviews-Melia_Bali_Indonesia-Nusa_Dua_Nusa_Dua_Peninsula_Bali.html We stopped over 2 night at KL on the way (using entertainer vouchers for the Intercon) and did the sights eg Petronas Towers etc

Hi, I am looking for somebody that can repair a table leg for me - the table was cheap but I love it and don't really want to buy a new one. It is a wooden kitchen table and one leg has broken at the top so needs some sort of bracket. Can anybody recommend a good company / guy ?

Nomad is a lovely restaurant but looks out over a duck pond and towards Irish Village so not really a water view. I would recommend you either look at the Park Hyatt Hotel or The Boardwalk or Aquarium at Dubai Creek Yacht and Golf Club

Hi, yes Mirdif is probably more noisy than some other areas due to the plane noise. YES Uptown Mirdif is under the flight path and very noisy. We live in Shorooq and away from the flight path - I think the best thing for you to do is go look at places and wait around for 20min or so - you will soon find out. There are a lot of lovely areas in Mirdif with minimal or no plane noise

Hi, Shorooq do not have pools but the villas are a good size and most have a great sized garden. In Shorooq to avoid the plane noise you need to look at villas beween gates 1 and 2 - we live right behind the new Uptown School near Gate 1 and don't get much plane noise. Best option is to drive around as most properties will have to let signs on them - sit in the car a few moments and see if any planes come over !! The planes line up with Uptown Mirdif when they come into land so probably stay from anywhere really close to there. There are loads of small compounds within Mirdif that have pools
