Well I'm glad you think that Applestiser I thought it was just me! I just texted her and she called Conceive and yes approx 20,000. I thought that was a lot, she didnt. Mind you if you think what she (we hope) will get at the end of it.....

Thanks! She will be resident of Dubai. She had mentioned she had heard of a place in Sharjah so it must be Conceive. Thank you very much indeed.

LoopyLou. We just saw the poster in Choithram - he looks adorable. Just a thought re his tag/chip situation, have you double checked with a UK vet that it will definitely colerate to your new contact details (the chip) and also as a double check have you contacted a local vet to see if you can have the cip registered to you now so that the records are definitely set over here? Just a thought and will still keep my eyes peeled. He WILL be back - positive thoughts! :)

Hi LoopyLoo - well have had a search today and obviously nothing yet (would have been on here immediately if so) Will keep my eyes out for him. I know he'll be back. :-) Good to know that these guys care....they have helped me in the past too when my little fella lost his collar. Keep us posted. Got everything peeled :)

Oh no! I'm on the case now too! I am in Springs 4 so miles away but you never know. Will do some looking around in the morning. I also have a gorg chubby ginger and can imagine your stress! Will do a drive and have a good hunt in the morning and at least help in bumping this if I can. He will be back! Think positive! :-) I know its miles away but try posters in Choithram too as even when we didnt live in Springs 4 we would use there for our shopping and look at the much more visible board as its just near the tills.

Hi All We are off to South Africa shortly and struggling to choose where to stay along the Garden Route. We have sorted the Winelands and Safari part of the trip and a fair idea for Capetown but seeing so many reviews for places along the way for the Garden route and wondering if there are any personal recommended gems anybody can advise of! It's part of our honeymoon and looking for small/chic/boutiqey/friendly/sit on terrace with glass of vino etc! I really dont want to approach tour companies as looking for personal recommendations. Thanks everyone! :-)

Churchills are fabulous! They have done our cream sofas and our cream bed a number of times and done a really good job, efficient, good value for money and a great clean.

Would agree with Keila - Cove is OK but I would personally prefer the Hilton Resort & Spa too. Banyan Tree is beautiful but more pricey. Enjoy!

Haha Coffeemate! Cant you tell it's a quiet time at work eh? ;-) I really did rate Ann. If she stocks one of the designers she will definitely get that dress in for you. I went in first at the end of April (got married end of July) and couldnt see anything and then she told me about a designer she was going to stock and I had actually seen 2 of theirs I liked and she had them coming in at the end of May...anyway, by that time I was really panicking in case I didnt like it but then I liked 3 that she had in!! I didnt actually get my actual dress until a month before having tried on the other sizes but she was able to order it in within a few weeks. Very reliable. Also what I did (as also didnt want to deprive anyone at home) was go into stores at home and try the ones I liked and knew were stocked here and then knew it could be ordered via Ann and all the 'technicalities' dealt with over here without the cost of flights etc. My dress worked out about the equivalent of 250gbp more buying it herebut was worth it in saved flights/convenience/time etc. Let me know how you get on and what you end up with! All very exciting!

Coffeemate - fill your boots and enjoy life - you have LOADS of time. My wedding was planned in 6 months start to finish and my darling man proposed to me when I was at my biggest (although he didnt think so!) I didnt get married here but planned it all from here (and in 6 months) and got the dress here (Ann Rashid - fantastic) and have to say it was all very easy and enjoyable! Helped by the fact we had a few days at home when we just got engaged and had a lot of luck in terms of knowing our venues and choosing them. However, we had to organise our own caterers/suppliers and everything (even cutlery and furniture) as venue didnt supply them and managed it all very easily by phone and email so dont stress as will be a breeze if marrying here! Do you have much to lose? Even if you do you have LOADS of time! Enjoy yourself - life's too short to be stressing just yet! ;-)

Coffeemate! Stop panicking ;-) When is your wedding? I have to say that in all honesty if you dont have too much to lose then perhaps you are peaking a little early as you dont want to drop it all quickly then either put it back on before the wedding or (and I dream of this) become too thin! You should do what works for you and if WW does then great. I also did ww some years ago and it is good but just find that Dukan is so easy once you have the motivation. I would say that you are probably too aware that your wedding is a little while off so not really there in terms of motivation........I know that when you get to 3 months before then you will be really going for it and it WILL work whatever you do. This is the most important day of your life and you need to look and feel great. One thing I remember is someone saying to me that they really regretted not losing weight for their wedding and it really stayed with me everytime I felt like giving up. When I was dancing and enjoying myself at the wedding I really felt grateful that I was able to let myself go and not worry about breathing in/flabby bits...I just wish I could say the same now!! I am getting back to it slowly but the motivation is not as strong as it was for wearing a white dress (let's be honest if black is so slimming then white is really the opposite!) Why not aim for a 3/4 month plan? It's so hard being over here and eating out and drinking etc but I have to say I never gave up the odd tipple and when I went home I initially panicked as wouldnt be exercising or sticking to the diet but then I really enjoyed the fact I could buy ham cheaply and easily if needed a quick munch and was also walking a lot more than I ever would over here! Try and focus on the positive. Good luck whatever you do - keep me updated! :-)

Back on the yoghurt and chicken today! Let me know how it's going? SO missing my wedding planning! Have the prospect of a new JM dvd being delivered today.....oh dear......can't wait - NOT!!

Also, if you park near Emirates Post Office and are facing Deepas fabric shop.....walk past Deepa's so that it is on our right as you walk and it is up a side street not far from there - just keep peeking down and you will see it. Good luck!

This conversation came up for us over the weekend. Sadly I find Emirates shocking and BA actually better in terms of their care (not much of a benchmark there though!) I've become a little indifferent to the service now as dont think they care unless you are in Business or First. Such a shame.

We are planning a delayed honeymoon and are currently thinking of SA - Capetown (which have done before some years ago and loved), followed by a few days Safari followed by a few days R&R in Mozambique....we may actually do the Safari in Mozambique rather than Kruger too....does anybody have any advice re accommodation in Mozambique? We are looking for somewhere quiet and uncommercialised (if possible!) with a little bit of luxury. Any tips for the whole trip would be great too! Thanks!

Hi Coffee mate Please stick with this. This will happen. You sound very similar to me! I stared doing the Dukan and Jillian Michaels combo before my wedding and dropped 6.5kg and 2 dress sizes in just over 2 months after a very slow start! I got married 2 weeks ago in a Beautiful size 10 dress....the poor dress shop luckily had got a 10,12 and 14 in for me and I was SO thrilled to have worked so hard and stuck with it now I see the pics and had all the compliments! Am now back to it and loosely Dukaning again and did my first Jillian of 3 weeks last night. Oh dear.....can hardly walk today! Sticking with it though as it is SUCH a great feeling to feel confident in clothes again. As for the Dukan it's now just a part of my life. I'm even taking a risk and taking 3 dress to be massively taken in this weekend. I did gain 1.5kgs when home for the week after my wedding but there is NO way my gorgeous hubby will have a fat wife again - although bless him he doesnt think I needed to lose any anyway. GOOD LUCK with both the diet, the exercise plan and the wedding!! :)

Hi Carlo I had fybroids and had them removed due to the fact they were inside a cavity wall and therefore would cause problems if I ever wanted children. I was also told that there is always a chance of them returning in a few years. I had a fabulous Gynie and she also treated me last year for an ovarian cyst by laparoscopy (which is when they discovered the fybroids). I sought out the very best in opinions as fortunate enough to have great healthcare package and even got advice from one of the top doctors in this field in London and it was exactly the same advice. As I would like to conceive, I chose to stay here and have the Laparoscopy by the same doctor. I would really urge you to contact her as she is a lovely and very knowledgeable lady who really explains things well. Her details are: Dr Nirmala at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Healthcare City - 04 4297777. Both procedures were carried out at Medcare. Good Luck :-)

Tweet - I've been to see Dr Nirmala again today and again am delighted with her. I had to have a procedure whcih I was a little scared about (xray of the tubes to check if clear) but she was great as ever. I am more than nervous as am 40 and am about to embark on the preganancy quest with Femara....but she is lovely and re-assuring and very knowledgeable. I have complete faith and trust in this lovely lady. GOOD LUCK!! :-)

Sad that none of the newspapers even mention the housemaids. I appreciate that children will be the first priority but what happened to the housemaids?

I would also like to add that I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Nirmala. She has treated me and operated on me twice now and I have been very pleased and very impressed with her knowledge and her care. I find her quiet and lovely natured and very knowledgeable. I also sought a second opinion from the UK prior to going back to her and she was fine with that. However, the She has gone out of her way to call/email and check on me when I know she is not even working. The 2nd opinion just reinforced that she is the person I want to deal with and trust as there was such a steep contrast in approach. I am in the process of seeing her again and am very thankful to have met her. I agree that it is a personal decision as to what suits you best but she definitely suits me. :-)
