I have shoulder length dark hair, have not coloured my hair for about 10 years. Does anyone know of a good hairdresser here in Dubai for ombre styles? and what sort of cost should I expect?

I'd recommend NBAD, efficient customer service and very secure, they always sent text notifications when a transaction's been made using your card etc.

Hi Ladies, I have an appointment with Dr Jaffer Khan on 15th September. I am seeing him due to the recommendations I have seen on EW. Are there any other "have to see" breast augmentation plastic surgeons here, or is he the one? I had mine done with Dr Allen Rezai last May, I actually went with him beacuse of the EW and other forum recommendations. He is well known for the Natural look and would only recommend sizes that suits your frame. if that's what you want then it's definitely worth seeing him.

Thanks, svenskidubai. Much appreciated. Ultraceuticals smells delicious. Well, at least not as medicinal as Skinceuticals does! The suncreen has the strongest smell of all... but as long as it works... I dont mind.

would think same as vanilla ice cream but substitute a pinch of saffron with the vanilla and use the same method. I wouldn't bother making it without an ice cream machine. U can get the basic (freeze bowl) makers really cheaply now. edited by IzzyOnTheSeat on 29/06/2014 Thanks, I'm off to the shops now, need it for tomorrow.

I'm looking for Ultraceuticals products, which are Australian. Does anyone know if these are available in Dubai? The Ultra A Smoothing Complex (Retinol) and Ultra C (10%) serums are both excellent, and rival Skinceuticals' products at one-third the price. My dermatologist in Hong Kong switched me over to these but, sadly, I've now finished my treasured hoard. Failing that, where can I buy Skinceuticals? Thanks a lot. I haven't heard about Ultraceuticals products but I use Skinceuticals myself and buy the from Elite plastic and cosmetic surgery group in dubai healthcare city

sevenskidubai.... yes I did have a general anaesthesia but not for aesthetic purpose but health related issues I hope you are well now and have no need for further surgery. Mine was more for reconstruction/aesthetic purpose, I had correction of tuberous breast. sorry did not mean to sound eager for surgery, especially when some have it done for life threathening conditions.

I was reading some reviews on a forum about Radiesse and many felt it did not last as long. Someone was telling me about some type of outpatient procedure now ( in the USA) where they use your own fat for the fillers and it looks fantastic ( not that puffy look). I just emailed her for the proper name but maybe some of you here have some feedback ? I think it's called fat grafting or fat transfer, but for this they take the fat from somewhere else on the body, so you'd have to have a liposuction as well. let me know if it's something else.

An injection on the face scares the **** out of me though otherwise I have had quite a few major surgeries lol!!! Did you have general anaesthetic for your surgeries? I've only had one surgery and wouldn't mind having another one ;) I felt great, so RELAXED after the GA, it's a shame it only lasted 48 hours... hehehe

Lets ban caesareans while we are at it too (facepalm) Well actually, you do need a doctor for a caesarean and all they are saying is you need a doctor to prescribe you formula. I think it's a good idea - I wish a doctor could have advised me when I gave up nursing my first son after just a couple of months. It would get women the help with nursing that they don't get now. I agree that by putting formulas on prescription women who truly cannot bf won't be affected. and those who just choose not to due to vanity will have to. but not sure how it would work here for a working mum.

I am having botox, maybe fillers too, with DR Allen tomorrow, and I am DREADING the pain, can I get EMLA over the counter? should I apply it before I go? just don't want to chicken out because of the pain :( if you are seeing dr Allen Rezai, then you're in good hands. I don't think you should use emla before seeing him, he may tell you you dont need any botox and you'll end up with numb face for nothing!

yes I went yesterday... the place was VERY busy and I had to wait 20 minutes into my appointment time before I was seen... but apart from that the experience was positive! they treated me (again pale to medium skin with dark hair) with the Gentle Yag machine and the whole treatment took 1.5 hrs (they did full leg and half arm)... didn't hurt... but it was mildly uncomfortable on some areas where the hair growth was thicker or when it was closer to a bone... The technician who worked on me was Shyla and she was assisted by a lovely lady called Rose. While Shyla was the one actually executing the treatment, Rose was simultaneously shaving or moisturizing/cooling the treated areas. My skin feels super smooth at the moment! Just hope it STAYS that way! All the best for your session today. NdYag is one of the best lasers for hair removal, I had my under arms done in Sweden before I came here, and now I go to elite plastic and cosmetic surgery in healthcare city, have already had my bikini done with them. They had really good deal on so I also bought a combined package for legs and face. I look forward to a HAIRLESS summer How long do you have to wait to have your 2nd session? it seems to vary depending on the area, for my underarms I had 4 weeks interval but for bikini it was more between 6-8 weeks.

You usually leave a signed cheque for the full value of the loan but it is not dated. Who do you leave the cheque with? Bank or the dealer? is this a general rule or depends on where you buy the car from? is the dealer sorting out the finance for you? Haven't been to a dealer yet, when I heard about the signed blank cheque thing I wanted to know more about it before starting the process.

Just want to add, bought a new car on finance in December and were not required to leave any checks, blank or otherwise. The dealer did require a 1,000Dhs (refundable) deposit to start the finance process. I prefer this option to leaving a blank cheque, even if it's with the bank. do you mind telling me where you bought your car from? tia

Try the injection. You only need one injection every 3 months from your doctor. No need to drink pills everyday. 10/10 for ease of use but it's one of the highest doses of hormones and notoriously bad for side effects, especially loss of libido I won't touch any kind of hormonal BC but it I was going to, I'd go for the ones with the lowest doses of hormones possible - mirena or skyla IUS. Heard many many horror stories about side effects from both the implant and the injection, and 'microgynon' pills As others have mentioned, it can take a lot of experimentation to find the right one I agree, my sister had the implant and she put on about 15 kg, when she took it out, gradually she lost the extra weight. I've been on Yasmin for many years and haven't had any issues. I think you should see your doctor to find the best BC method for you. As what works for others may NOT work for you!

just to update for anyone interested- I went today and it was fabulous! I cannot remember the last time my skin looked this ravishing. I would also recommend it! I LOVE guinot facials. you can combine the hydradermie and the lift facial, I used to have these done in sweden and and loved it. if you haven't had the lift facial before you may find it a bit strange as it basically gives a workout to your facial muscles, and makes them contract. they usually do half of your face first and ask you to look in a mirrir, the result is very visisble, the treated half will visibly look LIFTED.

Should a renewed tenancy agreement be registered with Ejari? we signed the standard tenancy agreement for the 2nd year and also a separate document confirming that the tenancy will not be renewed after the 12 months. should we register the new contracts with Ejari? the agents did not ask us to do so! The LL is supposed to do it however you can You need passport, title deeds and tenancy contract cost AED200 I think I don't even think non renewables contracts are legal even if you signed a separate document saying your tenancy contract cannot be renewed we have copies of the necessary documents from last year, so the tenancy agreement has to be registered with Ejary every year? even if it's with the same LL and it's the same apartment? I actually don't know the answer to that question but would assume that you don't have too thanks. we're planning to move out of the apartment next year anyway, but just want to be sure we're doing everything we should, incase there are any issues.

Best thing I ever did. Had mine done with DR Khan in 2010 Minimal scarring, back to work in 2 days with no pain killers My friend had both done in Brussels and recently had the scars tattooed to the same colour as her skin. They look incredible Same here, I wish had it done sooner! I had tuberous correction 6 months ago with Dr Rezai. I have lolipop scars, similar to a breast lift, they've almost faded. Didn't know you could tattoo your scars, that's excellent!

Why????? Becaues sadly some people are animal haters, who consider them souless, useless beings that they can do what they like to! I'd like just a few minutes in a room with whoever is doing this! wow - how do you know that this was there intention to kill dogs? Maybe it was meant for rats - and was just an accident that dogs were killed. No! It;s intentinal, given that several were found covered in petrol as well! How Sad :( a life is A LIFE, regardless of it being a human's or an animal's.

I also want to try the Vampire treatments with doctor Rezai. Hope it will have great effects cause I called today and it's 3000 ead per session and you need 3 sessions to achieve results. Has anyone tried the skin revitalization at his office done with restylane instead? Thanks girls I was going to try the vampire treatment but decided to go for their laser rejuvenation package first as they're having a 50% off launch offer until end of October. I've already had 2 hairremoval sessions on my bikini area and I'm thinking of having my legs done as well :) I haven't had the restylane either, sorry. but the Doctor's really honest, he'll tell you if you need it or not.

Hi, I was thinking to do something for myself and apart from massages and facials,im thinking to do laser hair removal ,they said the results are permanent or maybe im mistaken, please advice if anybody had done it and where is good place for it ..? I don't think laser removes the hair permanently but it does significantly reduce it. Saying that some people may b elucky enough to have no regrowth. I had my underarms done with Nd:yag laser in my home country, and am having my bikini done with same type of laser in Dubai. Been happy with results of my underarms, have had about 90% reduction and the rest of hair that grows back are very fine. I had 7 sessions on my underarms but I've only had 2 sessions on my bikini area (Brazillian) and I'm already noticing reduction. I used to have waxing done before the laser but MUCH more prefer the latter and hopefully the results will be same as my underarms :)

I had surgery with Dr Allen about 9 weeks ago, also through reccomendation here, He's excellent. I really felt I was taken care of and am very happy with my result. I had tuberous breasts so not an easy condition to treat, but he did an amazing job. I've also had fillers under my eyes, and would highly recommend him. hey svenskidubai When I went for my post-op appointment with Dr A, I said I was thinking of having my eyes done, he said I should see him in 10 years time! Made my husband happy. I really like his honesty. I am seeing him in July though for fillers under eyes and vampire treatment, hoping to have both at the same time. I'm so glad I had the reduction when I did, this is my first summer here and I am really feeling the heat, I really cannot imagine how I would have coped if I hadn't. I bet you are! ;) I have family coming to visit, so I won't be going anywhere either. I must say when I'm back home, especially during winter, I miss the Dubai heat, but it's another matter when you're in it! Keep it COOL!

I had it but had to stopp few minutes in cause I just COULDN'T stand the PAIN. so DEFINITELY take pain killers in advance, but check with your dentist to make sure it's ok. My sister is my densits, we tried other types but I found all VERY painful so never been tempted again. But I have very sensitive teeth and you may not find it as uncomfortable as I did!

Can anyone recommend a good surgeon for a reduction and not too pricey? TIA I would highly recommend Dr Allen Rezai at Elite cosmetic surgery group in DHCC. I had Ba with tuberous correction almost 4 weeks ago. He's an excellent surgeon and the care I've recievd's been amazing. I know another lady here who had B-reduction with him, few months ago, and she is happy with him too. Not sue about the price for b-reduction but when I had mine there was a promotion going on for launch of his cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgey book, it was 10% discount on all breast surgery, I assume b-reduction must be included, might be worth checking out. I'm seeing him next week for my checkup I can ask if you want.
