In fact, I have not been without gel on my nails for the past 3 years. I had very weak nails and it's now in a much better condition since I started using gelish/shellac! I change the gel every 2 weeks and replace it straight away with a new layer. I had endless problems in the beginning when I used the hard gel, it ruined my nails totally from all the filing etc. But for the past 3 years no issues with gelish! Ditto!

Biosculpture gel will not destroy your nails. They have it at the Nail Spa. I find very few salons use it. The product is originally from South Africa. The main reason is because when they remove it, they soak off 90% off the gel and only file a little bit to get it all off. Been there, done that and other gel nails has made my nails paper thin in the past mostly because of the filing when they remove it. The biosculpture is brilliant, stays chipped free for 3 weeks and actually makes my nails stronger and very hard. I have had it done a few years now with the same therapist so that may be a factor too as she is excellent but then so is most of the Nail Spa ladies. I use the one at Ibn Battuta.

Just remember they have working hours, not open all hours like the airport. I tried doing this twice before but always had early morning flights and they were closed at the time. I think they only open at 7.30am, but of course best to call and check beforehand. The good thing is, I show my expired card at immigration and because the office is closed and I tell them I wanted to renew, they have let me through both times, so dont shred your old card until you have the new one in hand :)

Tell her about your husbands suggestions to get the agency maid in and give her a chance to improve within a set period. If she does not, then do it. If she's serious about her job, the threat alone should help her spring into action and after that give short term goals and keep checking back in with her. Be prepared to follow through on the threat though because if not, you'll be doomed for the rest of her employment with you as she'll see you as a soft touch she can take advantage of.

Thank you ladies, he was so delicious Ive just had to keep on going back for more. :) We are all at home and around the table tonight, new baby included, and each and everyone of us shall have indigestion. So, a home-made soup, but just what kind is yet to be decided, with garlic bread. Little home-made fish cutlets, Swahili style, with a coconut chutney to dip them in. Home-made hot and crispy vegetable spring rolls. For a bit later, for the more traditional eater:- Chicken Curry, swahili style Chaphati Rice Salad For the others:- Roast Vegetable and Cous Cous Salad with Feta Cheese and a pomegranate dressing Salad Creme Caramel Vimto Sounds delicious!!!!

I have seen a fantastic doctor at Welcare Ibn. I honestly dont remember his name I just call up and ask for an appointment with the "back doctor". He's the only one there. Specialises in shoulders, back, knees and feet. He told me what my results would be before I went for an MRI and he was spot on.

Thanks ladies. Sweetsugar I've heard good things about the Ibn Movenpick. Is it just Arabic food tho? I enjoy kousa and ouzi as much as the next person but it's not my favourite food. Some variety is nice. Do they have international dishes too? Thanks! There was the usual arabic food that you will find at all Iftars but not so much that someone that does not enjoy arabic food, would not enjoy themselves. They had grilled chicken with sweet thai chilli sauce (I particularly enjoyed this so remember it), great salads (International ones), koftas, shwarmas, seafood, soup, breads, biryani and lots of other dishes I cannot think of now. The deserts too included, different tarts, cheesecakes etc and arabic ones too. Like I said, the kids are not really into arabic food but they enjoyed it. I would say there's something for everyone. Try it out. They served from 7-9pm, which seems short but was actually long enough.

We did Movenpick, Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel last night. It was really really good, a great selection of everything including deserts. Even the kids enjoyed it and they are not really into arabic food. We left stuffed and very satisfied. AED165 pp. Edited to add: Kids under 6 ate for free, above 6 was AED75 each and their Kids club right next to the restaurant was open so the kids entertained themselves there while we ate in peace! edited by SweetSugar123 on 03/07/2014

Hi, does anyone know how to get in touch with Apple Itunes Store? I purchased an app for DD yesterday and it deducted the amount 6 times from my credit card. I had to go in and delete my credit card details to stop it. Who knows how many times it would have deducted it by this morning. I called my bank and although the amount is still pending, was told they cannot reverse it, I have to get in touch with the vendor not to 'cash' it so to speak. Anyone experience this before or have details for them? I cant find any on the net. Is there an actual UAE store you can speak to? Thanks.

They have one in deira city centre too, thats where I saw it for the first time. In Dubai mall, they had lots of different colors and sizes. I paid approximately AED80, but I had names printed along with the image. Without the names I guess its about AED60. If you are looking to print so many why dont you contact a supplier who does it for Corporates? They are bound to be cheaper. I will find out who we use at work and if I get it, will post details later.

For me personally, the idea to hire a wedding planner was a good because it was my 1st wedding and a professional has done it many times before so mine came up with great ideas I never ever thought of to make the day so much more special. I was still involved in all aspects of the planning and of course decision making. Also the fact that on the actual day, I knew things would run smoothly and all I had to do was relax and enjoy the day was priceless. It is impossible for you to be all over the place on that day and by leaving it with someone impartial and professional (not family members) was great for me and all the family could enjoy the day to re max too. The good rates, as they use suppliers often and the fact that I was given recommendations for the best in the business certainly helped too. Only got married once (fingers crossed! Lol!) so would never regret having a planner as the day was awesome, stress free and my guests couldn't stop talking about my wedding even a few years on. Email me on [email protected]. I may be able to help.

I would assume that everyone wants their children to be healthy and happy. The reason that I said that I wanted my children to believe in themselves is as they have approached puberty I have noticed how easily 'knocked' they are by small things, but mostly by tactless teachers. [b'>This is a bit like when you ask a pregnant woman what gender she is hoping for and she replies that she just wants a healthy baby. Like who would want an unhealthy baby? What has that got to do with the question? [/b'> Anyway, we can only guide them (and do some brain washing with subliminal messages) and teach them as much as their sponges can take. One thing that we cannot do is push them into the careers that we missed for whatever reason. ETA: I forgot to mention, one of the most important things that we can teach them is how to use and not abuse a credit card....start when they are young! edited by CallMeMaybe on 06/03/2013 But sometimes someone REALLY just wants a healthy baby and could care two hoots about the gender ;) Ask someone who has had multiple miscarriages for instance. What may seem obvious and the norm to one person may not be the case for the next.

I was stuck in that too, so was hubby. I heard on the radio that apparently a pipe burst in the Greens area and that caused road flooding? I didnt reach that far to confirm it as I turned off before the Greens. Traffic was really horrific, an absolute stand still. I assume tonight will be fine...?

IF you have time and a shop&ship account, order them online (I did order my last one with a 24 hour delivery in the UK and received it over here within 3 days of placing the order). They are just soo much cheaper and most of the time even better quality than you'll find here. I order all mine from A2Z kids costumes in the UK and ship it over. Never been disappointed and their sizes are quite accurate too.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Nissan Armada. Fits 3 car seats easily and still sooo roomy. It's really a great car and value for money if you look at what you get in the top of the range model. Mine is still new but I wouldn't hesitate buying a Nissan again next time.

I take my boy to the salon at Favorite Things. They are ok in there. They have trimmed my DD's hair a few times as well but I think I will be taking her to my hairdresser from now onwards, however for the boys they are fine at FT. They also keep them entertained with a movie while their hair is being cut.

Where I can, I do it during the week when things are quiet at work and I catch up later in the evenings. I am lucky to have the flexibility to be able to do that. Otherwise, I book it for late on a Saturday afternoon when the weekend is winding down. The kids will usually just do something passive, like going to the park or pool with DH, before bath and bedtime and I am usually back by then. It is definitely a major juggling act but I enjoy working as well so have no problem fitting it all in.

Lou, I have had similar experiences a long time ago. If you dont want your hair damaging any further just wash it with a gentle shampoo every day, the color will soon fade. You can also throw a little white vinegar in your final rinse. If you cannot be patient and want to try an excellent hairdresser, just for a consultation (if he says he has to use bleach you can always walk out), try Alex at Royz Salon in Barsha. I love how fab he is at hair and have never been so happy with a hairdresser. Good luck.
