I will try....if you are coming from uptown mirdif's side (spinney's is on your right), after the circle, turn 1st right, go straight down past a new mall and bank on your left. Turn 1st right, then 1st left, Modern Woman is on your left, big sign. Hope she wont get tooo busy now ;) But she is really good!

Hi mirdifmummy, I have not been there but been to a few in Mirdif since my very good hairdresser left for Lebanon and have not been overly impressed until I bumped into her a few weeks ago. She is back and as fab as ever. She is at Modern Woman in Mirdif. Ask for Elhaam. She does everything but best of all she can cut and color PROPERLY. Good luck.

Thanks Shazman and Pinks. Glad to know its almost over then. Feels like there's no end to it when the pain's that severe however I must say today its (slightly) better. The shooting pains have been replaced by a constant pain in the lower teeth only but its more subdued for sure. So there's hope! :) Couldn't say that yesterday! I'll look into the tooth mousse option...

Shazman, how did you eventually get on? How long did the pain last? I had this done today and I can SO relate to the shooting pain. I too am impressed with the color but the pain is intense...Thanks.

Thanks Amelia, thats re-assuring as the safety issue is the (big) concern for me at the moment. Do you know if they had/have any issues with internet connections? I believe that area is covered by DU? Anyone else?

Thanks faifunghi, it's really difficult to find out this type of information without going to see each and every dr, and then it's $$$ for each and every appointment, was really hoping to find someone on here who recommends a dr who does this out here. Anyone else? Simpsons, scroll down on this thread. I think you may be referring to the earlier posts from Bianca72? I had 2 c-sections both done by the same dr here in Dubai (Dr. Ulrich Honemeyer at Welcare Hospital). I couldnt be happier. My scar is hardly visible, he cut into the same line both times. Recovery was quick and my scar is hardly visible and have no pouch which I have seen my SIL's have after their multiple c-secstions. Good luck...

Thanks girls, you are the best and have given me a few things to think about. I dont know if there is a right decision though (and that is why its so difficult). I suppose only time will tell. I have a few days left to revert on an acceptance so any other thoughts/suggestions etc would be appreciated and well received!

Thanks Green-ish. She's currently in nursery and doing FS1 level "unofficially". Her nursery teacher has said she is ready for FS2 as well. Thats the dillemma....do we send her where she is the youngest or the oldest? She is very mature in both her actions and the way she communicates. I like: "If your preferred school has offered her a place in FS1, talk to them about how they plan to cater for her as an individual...how their teachers ensure every child is challenged and allowed to thrive. If you're not happy with the answers, then you go with the other school." so will look into this. Thanks!

The notice period basically works like this: If he refuses to work it, he would have to pay the company in lieu of that time. If he wants to work it but the company wants him to leave early, then they pay him his notice period out. Both the notice period and payments in lieu thereof can be waived if agreed by both parties (read "the Company" as there's only really one party who makes the decisions). I would tell your DH to speak to his manager and if he is ok with the 1 month, considering they thought it was that any way, to go and speak to HR to waive it. HR will usually do that if the request is coming from the manager who seem to be ok with the arrangement. As for the plane ticket home: it is only payable when you leave the country (with no job to come back to here) not when you are moving to another employer in the UAE as the transfer of sponsorship automatically means the responsibility of the ticket when you some day will leave the UAE shifts to your new sponsor/employer.

Thanks for all your replies. Its the beach resort and spa, not the Cove. That's why the dilemma as I have heard its nice but then so is Banyan tree and I am able to get them at the same price although Banyan is usually much higher. The feeling that Banyan is not very kid friendly is there but it looks like heaven and the fact that we may not get it at this price again! Anyone else? Any feedback from ladies who have been to Banyan?? Thanks!!!:)
