I drove Yaris before and I must say the qulaity is really good. They are AED 1300 per month I think. Highly recommended and can accomodate so much. I was able to tranport a queen size mattress using a Yaris believe it or not.

TanAmbassador, I wonder what brand you use, if it's last for two years with heels and with reasonable price...I dont mind getting one :) Monkey Face, I have to say, Naturalizer, Hushpupies shoes model sometimes is not very good, although I agree with you they are more comfy then Aldo shoes. I bought it back in the US. Brand is Janilyn. But I don't find them in the internet. I used their high heels (3-4 inches) for office regularly and they are hand made with snake-skin, a pair is more than a thousand (AED) but really worth every penny.

I would have thought a pair of shoes should be broken in after 2 months of regular wear...... Mine last for years and i wear them regularly... Though they can be very expensive but my heels are 3 inches above and they are comfy to wear and last forever.. 2 pairs of shoes lasted 3 years. :D Tan...broken in doesn't mean broken, it means they are at the comfy point! Yes I would definitely expect shoes to last more than 3 months!! oops sorry didn't get that properly. :D

I went to Fafa Salon in Sunset Mall Jumeirah Beach Road and they have promotion of like AED 69 of Gellish for both mani and pedi. and I finished in less than 1 hour. Good value and I like the salon. But i think their next booking is next week. I don't think they do Gelish as in the Harmony brand they have shellac or the Opi version of gel which I found went on very thick coats? Your are right. I just checked, no gelish (Harmony). What they have done to mine is Shellac (CND) it's still good and great value too. I love my nail color :-D

TanAmbassador have you been yet. Do they sell household appliances and clothes or is it just food, like the C4 near the other side of the Marina. It looked pretty big when I walked by it last week. Not been yet. I just saw this morning on my way to my parking. The entrance of carrefour is literally just 15 STEPS away from my building elevator. which makes it incovenient to the residents as shoppers can easily go up to our builidng. I am planning to talk to Cayan Management about our safety. Also, beside Carrefore is SuperPharmacy, a laundry and a coffee shop. MOre Cafe too opening soon. :D

It is very sad to say that wherever you go, there’s always people who makes other people lives miserable. Just like those crazy drivers in Sheik Zayed. I really don’t care what they are up to as long as they don’t hurt or distract other people who are living peacefully. So many are still uneducated and selfish. And most of the offenders are youngers who thought LIFE is something indestructible. Most of the time, a lot of us, forget that we only have ONE LIFE – and if you don’t take care of it, you can lose it easily and never have the chance again to enjoy the most beautiful gift you can have!!! I am very sorry Nomad about your family. I hope one day you will understand God's will why this tragic happened. edited by TanAmbassador on 11/04/2012

Why don't you try Nutella and Go, it's a snack pack with cookie sticks and nutella and their 260 calories. Good plan will try.. This way I can still get my fix:) Marroosh - NOOOOO. Don't do it. Before you put anything in your mouth always ask yourself 'is this good for my body' always remember it's not always about the taste. Nutella is very tempting as it’s actually so delicious but is a back-stabber and so other unhealthy but so-enjoyable junk foods. Don’t you wonder why we don’t lose weight despite of tortures in the gym? It’s all about what we put in our mouth. Try to be very conscious of the food you eat and you will see that losing weight is very easy. ;) Oh I was going to stay in denial! I am eating much healthier and have just started working out for 2 weeks. I don't buy any junk anymore, all I allow myself is a bit of dark chocolate every now and then. I used to eat so much McD and Nutella, and when I see how terribly unhealthy it is I am not surprised I am in this terrible shape. But hey, working on it now:) Marroosh I was addicted to McD (esp their fries!!) and other fast food chain like Burger king, Hardees, KFC (!!) but let's face it- they're very bad to our body. I don't know what helped me but its been years I don't eat fast food (thank God!) and I drink soda once in 2-3 months and it helped me alot in terms of my weight management. Believe me -[b'> it really does make HUGE difference[/b'>!!! Ladies, bottom line really is to watch what we eat. there's so many alternative healthy food, you just have to be concious. You only have[u'> one chance to live[/u'>[b'>[/b'>, better love and take care of it by looking/feeling awesome before it's gone/too late. edited by TanAmbassador on 11/04/2012

Just have 3 Nuttella sandwiches per day and nothing else. Excersise and see they weight fall off. A woman doesn't need more than 1200 calories in a day. 3 Nutella sandwiches is over 1600 calories= Not healthy. And no veg, fruit and other nutrients. Bad diet! From my understanding, the average requirement is 2000 calories a day for a woman. At 1200 a day, she would be losing weight. This is correct. Average of 2000 calories per day both men and women this can go up and down depending on your goal. I suggest for women not to go up 1800 if you want to maintain your weight. Less than 1400 if you want to lose weight.

Bird, i was checking the same but I was advised by a friend who knows a lot about UAE that if you will spend only 1 night it's not worth driving all the way to Liwa (3.5/4 hrs drive from Dubai). And there's not so much activities you can do there except being in a desert. But people's preferences are different. That's just my opinion. I booked Al Raha Beach Resort instead. AED 925 for a sea view room with breakfast, dinner and a massage for 2. :D

Hi Ladies, Yesterday I escaped from having a horrifying accident on Emirates road and I escaped my death.Initially I was about to get hit by an FJ cruiser and when I tried to escape I almost hit an 18 wheels container and in the attempt to avoid that, I drove horizontally all the way to the high speed lane and before hitting the concrete barriers I managed to stop the car and park parallel to the barriers with all cars driving towards me!!!!!!! The whole thing took about 10 second and I remember that I imagined my death three times during that short time. The whole experience was scary and unbelievable and all I could think of was that I was given a second chance to live my life. I have decided to make some changes in my lifestyle and in the way that I see life in general. It made me realize that we are all here for a short time and we never know when our journey will end. I have decided to make a bucket list of things that I must do before I turn 40 to make sure I don't miss out on my life. There are many things that i have always wanted to do and I thought that I will do them when I'm older, but if the end can come so unexpectedly I don't want to wait and I want to start living a more meaningful and interesting life NOW. So I need your help and suggestion to make my bucket list.Tell me what are the things that a woman must do before she is 40. Keep in mind that I am 30 and single. Thank you for reminding us that 'life is very short and temporary' that a lot of us forget and take it for granted. Thank you and I am glad you are fine and now ready to make a lot of changes in your life.

A nice Orchid in a nice pot is a decent and classy B-day gift. My boss loved it and still has it. Also a cake with his name would be nice to accompany the orchid as it is a 40th b-day. I agree. This is sweet and decent. Thanks N :-)

His boss is giving him a Dunhill laptop bag worth AED 2600 from Dubai Mall. Some of my colleagues are giving him chocolates and a mug and since he just approved my annual bonus worth 3 times of my salary yesterday I think it's okay to give a gift on his 40th Birthday, no? by the way the cake and balloons are from the company, I am just the one buiying it. still wrong?

i think it's inappropriate. Certain colleagues at work always give my boss presents and it makes him (and me) cringe. Not to us. Many larger companies do not allow employees to buy gifts for their "superiors", as it could be seen as a bribe. Make sure your company doesn't have such a policy. In any case, I don't think it's appropriate to buy gifts for your manager, espcially one of that calibre, but that's just my opinion which you didn't ask for :) No issues about giving gifts to managers. I received alot of gifts from him and wife already (earrings, bracelets, perfumes, etc) and I should know as we are working long time already. Thanks for your opinion though MF :)

Plays golf and goes to gym all the time. He already got gym bag and golf set. I gave him perfume before but he never used it. I am thinking about kindle ebook, where to buy and how much? Though he already have Ipad, Iphone so maybe he doesn’t need a kindle. Arggh…. Think think think….

Life is very weird or should I say people are… I have so much going on in my life now. The only time I am home is whenever I need to sleep. Sometimes I don’t even have enough sleep because not enough time. And most of the time I wish I am a wife and a mother of a beautiful baby and just do nothing! Isn’t that weird?

Khasab is better than Dibba for dolphins, I hear. Anyways that's why I decided to go to Khasab rather than Dibba. I prebooked for this coming weekend with Dolphin Travel & Tourism (Office of Khasab Hotel), Southtravels.com. 9-4 Full day, we have to meet them at the port by 8:30. USD 56 (205 AED) per person. I'm hoping someone else will come on and give driving directions to Khasab for dummies from the new Dubai area =D Hi Singingcanary, is the price AED 205 AED already discounted or this is the full price? If full price, this is cheap and I woould like to go to this weekend with my friends. I contacted the other companies but they said they are fully book this weekend til end of April.

Just to share my experience with accu. I have various issues with my back and neck, have tired everything chiro, oesto, and accu as my last resort with one of the top Harley Street guys in London and also a separate and trusted Oesto and it was THE most painful experience of my life, I passed out on two separate occasions, and sobbed all the way home from my first appointment due to the pain ....had it with two different people in case it was just a bad experience the first time.....I think it has a lot to do with location and severity/muscular depth of the problem you are trying to solve. I truly wish it had worked for me.....still trying to find a treatment....... Awwww i know how you feel, this back neck problems are just horrib! My Physiotherapist told me acupuncture works for some people, meaning not for everyone. I am still feeling painless since my first acupuncture, Happy!!!

silly question, but is it painful?? i hate needles but would love to reap the benefits if its painless Surprisingly not painful. They are very thin needles. I felt almost nothing. I am having another session on Monday at Chaslu with Dr. Lee. So far, after my first acupuncture (2 days ago) I am still feeling painless and had good sleeps lately – wooohooo I am so happy to be out of pain at least this past 2 days!
