We moved here in January and used a company called Vital Legalisation to get our documents attested www.vitallegalisation.co.uk I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question as we were married in the UK, but I am sure this company would be able to advise you. Good luck Thanks, that's a great help I have contact them and they are looking into. Thanks

Hi we have recently moved to Dubai and my husband will be sponsoring me for a spousal visa. We are an english couple but were married in Italy. Do we need to get our marriage certificate attested in Italy? We have had it translated into English so that my name could legally be changed on my passport. Or do we only need to have it attested by the UAE in Uk. Any advise welcome. Thanks

Hi I also recently moved to Dubai and am in JLT for a couple of months. I have used The Nail Pavilion in Cluster Y, I have had my hair cut and coloured and my nails done. I can highly recommend them. Its a one stop shop, they do everything there. Good luck Tara

By the time you get here it will be starting to get warm, make sure you walk him during the coolest parts of the day and don't make him run around chasing balls etc. All dogs like to run around and will happily chase a ball and bring it back for you but owners need to be aware that they can easily suffer heat exhaustion if they are doing this during the hotter months. Make sure he has cold water and cold towels after a walk when it is hot, he will soon adjust though. Hi Chrissy Thanks, my boy is pretty lazy he just likes a short walk and sleep, moving over in March for definate, really looking forward to it.

Hi We are due to move from the UK to Dubai in April/May 2016. Our dog is not used to travelling so does anyone have any good advice on keeping him happy before/during the flight and also how did your dogs adjust to the heat. Thanks

Staffordshire bull terriers in general are a banned breed, as per the municipality rules. Although there are these dogs in the country, it's not allowed to keep them in an apartment and they have to be leashed and muzzled at all times in public. Great thanks. Yes we aware that we would need a villa and no problem with the lead and muzzle But you'd still need to find an airline who'd fly that breed - a big ask. Anyways good luck with your research I know how precious our pets can be. It's not even about flying the dog, first you'd have to see if the municipality would actually allow you to import the dog - given that it's a banned breed - they might deny the import papers. Thanks everyone, I have just found out from the Municipality that English Staffs are allowed into Dubai, they are a restricted breed, not a banned breed. Looks like we'll be moving to Dubai next year. Thanks for all your help and advise, and I'll hopefully meet some of you next year when we arrive. Lots of planning and paperwork now!!!
