yep, called a taxi at 2 pm on a wednesday..so felt it was safe, surely the taxi would turn up at max 2.30pm. Well, didnt turn out this way. After 4 phone calls to RTA, a taxi eventually pitched up at 4.10pm. As it was past 4pm, I was charged 10 aed for the call charge. I had missed my appointment by then as my car was in the garage.

Hi, just sold our house in London. Still full of furniture and a shed full of tools. We do not need any of these, so was wondering if you knew any second hand company that come and give you a quote to buy the content ? Hi, the good news is that the dog is not tied up anymore, and has more space to roam free but is still outside and dont think it get walked. I managed to speak to the owners. They are actually quite pleasant so that is a good start. From what I gathered they care for their dog, just dont really know how to look after it.There is a thin line between giving advice and sounding patronising. Dont want them to feel like that and ruin any chance for that poor dog to spend a summer inside or at least with A/C and as you said BuddyM, with a minimal 20 mn walk a day. I am on the case and will keep you udpdated...If I get nowhere and understand it is more of a burden for them, then I will suggest K9 friends. Fingers crossed, it all goes well before summer. Dont worry BuddyM wont let that poor soul down and will do my best for him.

Just contact K9 friends, they have over 100 dogs and many puppies that need a home. They have a facebook page with the pictures of all the dogs for adoption and will give you all the advice you need and contact of dog trainers if you need. http://www.facebook.com/pages/K9-Friends-Dubai/135431973890

I am not in Mirdiff Fed up , but your story is basically a copy paste of mine except I dont have kids! This situation is driving me nuts (even though the afternoon has not been too bad today) and I would have liked to get some basics advice on how to talk to them with diplomacy before I completely lose it one day and tell them what I really think, which I am worried might make their dog suffer even more. (dont want that dog to end up dump in the desert). They might not be like that, but I would rather assume the worst and be careful.

Yes, just moved in one and I am really happy. However, you need to keep in mind that JVT is not completed, so you will live on a construction site for a little while. Some parts of JVT are quieter than others ( re construction work). These townhouses are spread over JVT so you can surely find one spot you like. Good luck!

Jumeirah Village triangle has many 1 bedroom townhouses with nice size garden available, brand new. They go from AED 55k to 70k. There are 150 square meter. Very good.

I had red somewhere (and obviously cant find the source anymore), that if you give 3 months notice then there is no penalty, if it is 2 months then there is a penalty. That is the general law, however, only the second rule is usually written in your lease agreement ie. 2 months notice and 1 or 2 months penalty.

FYI, On the UAE Pet Loves Facebook page, a lady explains that she spoke to the owner of the Amstaff. She says that the dog lives with young children, another amstaff and a yorkie and never never had any problems. "They have a small yourki living with them too, something went wrong that minute, the poodle came by surprise, sadly there was no muzzle, and everything happened to quick". Yikes...I hope she was not justifying the owner's decisions to have it off leash and to leave without attempting to make amends?? I also hope the owners are now aware their dog can probably never again be trusted off leash or around small dogs. No, not at all, she just realised she knew the owner (a friend of a friend or something like that, dont know the woman myself, just quoting what I red on facebook) and wanted to have his side of the story. She also posted a picture of the dog with his other dog friend and yorkie friend together in the family garden. It seems the owner is also devastated of what happened and very scared of the consequences for his own dog...

My husband made a booking for 7 pm for my birthday on a Wednesday night, unfortunately the taxi didnt turn up at 6.30 as planned, we called them and ask if that would be ok to pitch up at 8pm, taxi problem, still my birthday so please would that be ok if we still spend our money with you. Their reply was: was NO, sorry you are late. Thanks for that. We therefore called Reflets instead, at the last minute, who welcomed us without any fuss and were we had, without a question, much better food and service as usual. So dont have a good opinion of them.

Last August, at Spinneys with my brother in law. There are about 5 types of dates on the shelf, dont know which one to buy to bring back to England. One shop assistant comes to our help (or so we thought): Hi, you like dates? Want to buy some? BIL: Oh yes, but can you explain the different types, where there are from etc... Shop assistant: Well, why don't you try some, so you can decide by yourself the one you like. BIL: oh can we do that? That would be really helpful indeed. Shop assitant: which one do you want to taste first? BIL: Hmm, this one there. Shop assistant: Well, you cant eat during the day because it is ramadan!!! Cheers mate, nice waste of time!!
