I think it goes for teachers in general! Too easy to put 2 and 2 together and work out who people are! There will only be one new male teacher starting in September who has a 16 month old daughter.

Wild Wadi with Entertainer Vouchers. We spent entire days there during Ramadan and it was great fun (mine were 7, 5 and 2). Hope the flights are cheap ;)

I love Rock Bottoms BD, it is great fun and the new band is fantastic! Best I've seen in a long time! Haha... Just what I thought when we went there maybe 2 months ago. If you have a big group in the right 'mood' it's good fun. Reminds me of a bar back home we use to frequent (not so often).

If the property is under mortgage, the bank will hold the title deed, which is still in the owner's name. The owner could then have a copy of the TD. I am no expert in these things though, hopefully somone else will be able to help.

Swarovski I have no idea about the legalities of these thingsb but the first thing that came to mind was a good PRO? Hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about can make a suggestion.

We also bank with Emirates NBD. I would say the first few years we found things frustrating, but they have really improved the last few years. Much better service, opening hrs etc. They dealt with CC fraud (card copied in another country) quite quickly. They have also come to us for various things which is a brilliant service. No problems in MMI/A and E/Barracuda or any bars/restaurants (and I would know;) ) We are also priority customers so I dont know what benfits are because of that. We've only held accounts with them in Dirhams, prefering to keep other currency elsewhere, so I cant jusdge on that. edited by TOLB on 18/02/2013

I;ve never known a school that would permit teachers tutoring children for money on the school grounds, for exactly the reason that AA states, it would be seen not only as an unfair advantage but also unethical. Maybe we are not thinking of the same system though.

It's considered illegal part time work. The teacher coming to your house does not have the appropriate paperwork to do so. The tutoring companies are a different matter as the (presumably)have a license.

As far as I know it has always been policy at most schools as it is against the law. Some schools have turned a blind eye and some teachers have just done it anyway.

I usually ask for a quick dry, as it annoys me to sit there any longer than I have to. My girl dries to quickly and then styles it quickly too. No charge :)

Is it a family day? Suitable for kids? I was told it was, but when I look at he only advert I"ve seen, it promotes an "amber breakfast" and adult style music. My Mum says if you dont have anything nice to say... So I wont :-)

I'd love to be down at the creek for snacks and juice in Bait al wakeel and then over on the abra for a stroll through the Spice Souq, back over to buy a poof (which I've been thinking about) from Meena Bazaar and then on the metro back to where ever you left the car. Maybe a sunset on Kite Surf Beach with Eat and drink shwarma or a picnic from home. Masala Dosa in Karama for breakfast, or maybe a picnic in whichever park you fancy. Chilling out in a coffee shop, outside though, with a book. Early evening drinks at Irish Village, or the Jetty or anywhere else outside. we need more than a long weekend!

Just wondering if spreading the calories over the day diminishes the effect of the 'fast', as it seems in the video he eats them as one meal? I've read Brad Pilon's Eat Stop Eat and that is what he advocates also, a 24 hour fast as apposed to 24 hours of calorie restriction. I only thought about it at the end of the vid and wasn't sure if I'd missed something. Much more difficut though I suppose than eating a few calories a few times during the day.;)

You used to be able to get over a dam on a dirt track at the back, but that has been shut for weeks now, so it's pretty much right up through Downtown to get back up that way! Or ages down SZ rd! Someone else I know went to the sports bar in the hotel and said it was good too. if you like that sort of thing.

How did it work? I feel the breakfast is inadequate It's a fast so I guess by nature it is less than adequate. The video at the start of the thread is very interesting about the health benefits of this.
