Ya now even I feel so. I came across them in BurJuman. I enquired on where they are living, they said with their brother and that they are going to leave soon. I feel next time I should just call the Police and ask them to solve the matter Thanks ladies...

Hi I have just got one fitted under my sink. Its called Purelife water purifier. costed me about 2400 AED for 1 additional cartridge and 1 year maintenance free. I used to use the big water bottles (8-10 AED each) and was horified when the sales rep did a test to show me what all impurities were there in the water drink. Let me know if you need his number. He will come at your house, to test your water and show the difference.

Hello There and welcome to the UAE. I’ve not had kids myself, but I’m in the insurance industry and can advise you from my experience. Medical insurance is now mandatory in Dubai. This includes maternity cover as well. All companies with more than 100 staff have already got insured. The next stage as per the DHA (dxb Health authority) is for those co’s with less than 100 staff , individual, spouses and domestics with the deadline set as end June 2016. So if your employer has not provided you with maternity now , they will have to provide you with this cover by next June. The level of cover and network of hospitals clinics will all depend on the insurer and package they opt for ,though there are minimum limits set by the DHA. However, I would always advise you to take insurance rather than a package as the package is very limited and may not be sufficient in case of an emergency and sooner the better as for individual policies there generally is a waiting period of 6-12 months before you can claim, depending on the insurer. Hope this helps and all the best  Hi Ladyjo, thank you for your reply. I am not much relying on my company's medical as we are a very small company (10 people in UAE). I might get lucky and get maternity covered by june 2016 as per your advice. How soon before getting pregnant should I buy an insurance? TIA ;)

Hi Ladies, I am planning my first pregnancy. I am employed and on my own visa (not on my husbands sponsorship). However my medical does not cover any type of medical benefits related to maternity. I am deciding between an additional insurance or a maternity package through the hospital directly. If I opt for insurance, how soon before getting pregnant should I buy an insurance? (average is around 12000 AED per annum) If I opt for maternity package, I should take it only after I am pregnant right? I live in burdubai, Does any one have any experience of delivering into a hospital in Bur Dubai? Also, when should I tell my employer that I am pregnant? Highly doubtful that I will get any medical benefits anyway. TIA :) Sorry for some stupid questions but I tried my best to literate myself though old posts and totally new in UAE.... :)
