My son is 10 has a tongue tie, nothing serious or has caused any speech impediment. However, the luxury of just sticking out your tongue, licking an ice-cream properly and intends to always have some sort of food left around his mouth. Does anyone recommend a doctor / specialist who deals with the cutting/laser of the skin attached? I believe it is a simple procedure but I do not know of anyone personally facing the same issues. Any recommendations/suggestions would be very helpful.

I highly recommend Dr Amirpasha Jawad Ghasempour, though he is in Sharjah. Very reasonable rates, good with kids, and no pain! I chipped my tooth on my second night in Dubai, and went to Dr. Ghasempour on a friend's recommendation. I was really nervous being brand new to Dubai, but it was a better dental experience than I've ever had in the States! Thank you for this info, where is he based in Sharjah (what practice)? I need to replace a filling..argh!

Hi Ginnee...my 5 year old was having the same "Im scared" midnight cries... shaking like a leaf. I do believe it has got to do with cartoons on the TV. Have you ever watched them...they sometimes give me the shivers too. I would like with him in his bed, yes "single" until he drifted off...He seems to be over it now...so we shall wait and see..

This happened to me too. I phoned the post office in Deira and asked them to forward it to my local post office where I lived... no sweat..

Hi, thanks for the comments, I am going to day to see how it goes (she recommends 4 x treatments) to get the results. Depending on the results, she would then suggest a once off fraxel or something of that sort

Hi, Al Sharq area is lovely as well as Al Goaz is , nice sized villas. Where will your husband's job be located? You can pay in the region from Dhs80 000 to Dhs160 000-00 (all depending on what you want). My friend lives in Al Sharq in a 4 bedroom villa with garden and pool and pays Dhs130 000-00. We have just moved from the Al Buhairah Corniche (was there for 6 years) and dont suggest it as the traffic around the corniche can drive you nuts at times!!! You can google Emirates Properties - and speak to Garish who has all property details on all villas available. Also if you arrive early, you can drive around and see "for rent" signs by the villas and speak to the landlords themselves.

I suggest Koh Samui - its the dry season of the year (otherside of the island). We have stayed twice with our children at the Grand Central Samui - awesome for kids and adults. It is centrally located as you can walk out onto the main road and have access to resturants and markets... very kiddy orientated! Highly recommend. Our kids ages are 3 and 6! Will definitely go back to the same place again!
