Try to get another nationality. They are known to be sweet and nice before hiring. Lazy and moody after being hired. Not worth the hassle. You will end up being her maid in the end. I think it depends, I have so many friends with Kenyan maids and I have never heard such complains,

Hello ladies, Can you please tell me if anybody knows of any vacancies for office manager/pa/administrator I have 12 years of experience, I was due to start a new position and have been let down a week before starting (have been waiting for documents to get attested which cost us money and which they asked for! ) and just before starting with them they have given the position to someone internally of course I am gutted and now desperately seeking a new position. Thank you are you still looking for a job? [b'>Am searching, any openings?[/b'>

We love kenya, but I am a mother of a 4 year old, and my mommy protection instincts are kicking in. if you are there how are you finding it? I have friends in Kenya, which part are you going to live, Kenya is safe, only some parts but all is in control..Incase you need any help, let me know I can give some of my relative's No. to guide.

I dont think asking for nationality is racist as such, some of this people prefer working for there own nationality considering language, culture religion and foodwise, etc its a both side coin

Sorry to say this, but some nationalities treat maids badly with weird working hours and less salary

Personally I will only use a maid agency who uses mops which have been made with organic cotton. The agency should also have maids who sweep from left to right, not right to left as this is better for feng shui. The maid must also keep her back to the front door to allow the fluid energy conducted to ebb around her and straight out of the door.:lol: This is your opinion and I disagree Have a lovely day :flower: Waaaala!, I have never known all this..................................made my evening :biggrin::biggrin:

On myside am very happy after a long search, infact I keep on recommending my friends to try Africans, though you have to be clear on offs and timings, they are very sensitive, but with kids, they are the best. edited by treva1234 on 03/02/2015

If she has not stolen anything or done harm, I think the best solution is to report to authorities instead of posting her information on the forum, "a coin has two sides", though sorry for that.

I sponsored my son one month month visa 30 days plus 10 days which counts to 40, he came in the country on 2nd December 2014 and he was leaving yesterday. I was shocked when at the immigration they told me visas are counted from the date of issue!!!!!!!! not entry date. I had to pay 1200dhs for an overstay of 15dys which I cant explain how it was counted, and since the flight was 4.10pm (Emirates) I had to clear to avoid inconvenience or delays. Anybody to enlighten me on this please, am so frustrated.

Hmmm lost it, the girl was deported and given one year ban, some people are really cruel, is there away I can lift the ban? I really liked the girl. Can't imagine the hustle of interviewing ladies again.

So she is still on a tourist visa and her current employers haven't started the employment visa? If this is the case then as far as I am aware they can't send her back home. She is not under their sponsorship and they aren't responsible for her. Legally, she shouldn't be working or residing in their home on a tourist visa. It sounds like you haven't actually spoken her current employer? You really do need to do this. If you have children (you mentioned 'nanny') then you should never be afraid to ask anything. Ask anything and everything and then some more. Actually Daza I had done enough in finding more about the lady, as you can remember some days back I posted I was looking for a kenyan lady. I was born in Kenya so I know where to get the best when it comes to maids or house girls. I might just let the lady go back to Kenya then bring her back

Actually the lady came on tourist visa of one month extendable, immediately she extended she got this family who hurriedly made her the 2 month visa, but later her current madam told her they don't like her, she is 42yrs, a mature lady, exactly what I was looking for. Am afraid to ask a lot the poor lady might be given a ban, but I was ready to give back any expense they incurred.

My mother is also the same, its like it reaches a certain stage where they don't care, arguing with her will increase her sugar level also. Just ignore but advice once in a friendly manner as people say "What to do yani::biggrin:
