Stop blaming Flash for everything. They have done it exactly the same way other organisations the world over do it. People seem to forget they're not the only ones logging in to get tickets at that time, there are literally THOUSANDS of people all trying to get through. I logged in at exactly midday, the website put me in a queue, I waited patiently and got the tickets I wanted. The way the sfaff at Flash treated my friend is appauling. Several of them lied to her or made things up that they knew nothing about just to end the call. Flash needs to better train their staff and that is a fact! I am not BLAMING them for anything, we got our tickets in the end. I just think that their customer service is cr*p and that they could do with some competition. edited by Tru Blu on 28/02/2012

Yes, Flash did a shocking job IMO. What about the tickets for 250aed. They all sold in the presale and in fact, I doubt that they even existed. My friend was straigh on, got the tickets at 250, then at the last second as the payment was processing it wouldn't allow it!!!! Very annoying. They totally fobbed her off while she was trying to sort it out as well. Bad customer service. It's a shame they don't have a competitor out here.

Frozen vegies are an excellent alternative. Many are frozen as soon as they are picked and retain the nutritional content. Some canned vegies (especially tomatoes) also retain their nutritional value well.

Hi Irooni, I think it really depends on the base salary. I don't even give my Maid an allowance as such, I just give her a good salary and she buys everything herself. It would help to know what her base salary is and then it would be easier to comment.

they are near impossible to get hold on. I don't have time to search my posts at the moment (newborn twins require attention) but if you search my posts around September/October/November last year someone posted the correct number for me. I titled the thread the same as you I think

Aed3500-4000 per month plus food allowance.....this is insane...... It's not actually. We have a temp Maid from Howdra at the moment and she is worth every penny. It is all above board and is far cheaper than paying someone to come in hourly. Anyway, it is your only legal option.

Actually I just looked at the website, no option there. I think it's probably only open to flash forum members and fan club members at this point. Correct. Presale from 10am this morning until 3pm tomorrow. The website crashed this morning and it was a huge mess!

mum2girls, your Maid is very cheeky. Just book the cheapest flight and be done with it. It is not open for negotiation and you don't care for her opinion. Don't even tell her what flight you have booked. If she asks, tell her you will sort it out and end the conversation. If she continues being so cheeky and ungrateful, send her packing!

Hi Claire, Lucky you in Scarborough! I love the beach there :) There are a couple of good baby shops in Balcatta which is very close to you. Baby Discount Centre on Erindale Rd Baby on a Budget, Osborne Park Babyland, Osborne Park There is another one as well but I don't know the name, sorry!!! If you are ever in Mandurah - there is a great babyshop (quite big too) called Buster's Baby Warehouse. You can get stuff there that you can't get anywhere in Perth.

Hiccup, I know this is an aweful thing to say and I shouldn't be advising it but it did work for me. You need to start to appear NOT to care about your husband ( even though inside, your heart is breaking) Start to make plans with friends on the weekend and bring your DS along. Just tell your husband at the last minute, "Oh, sorry forgot to tell you, going out.... You'll be alright here, won't you??. Stop calling him and texting him every day (not saying that you do) so he has no idea what you are up to. Plan a vacation to visit your parents and take your DS. Basically, make sure he sees that you have a life and don't need him. This worked with mine and gradually he got the message and started to wriggle his way back into our lives. He is taking you for granted. Just Don;t live exclusively for him. :) Take care Hmmmm, this could also back fire :\:

DS's going to be 2yrs soon & I'm searching the best way to make him practice for potty. Should he be out of nappies? Where to place the potty, in a bathroom or in the living room? Wait until he's three. Ditto - especially for a boy edited by Tru Blu on 15/02/2012

Dear ladies Can you please suggest your preference? I have been to both about 2 years back due to complications (have suffered from 2 misccraiges) However, at this point in time, I am unsure who I should go with as I read that Dr. Elsa is extremely busy whereas Dr. Farhat is not with IMH but at a clinic in Al Wasl. I truly like both of them, brilliant in their fields and hence am extremely confused as to whom I should continue with. Thank you for your thoughts / recommendations. edited by NikitaD on 12/02/2012 Dr Rosalie Sant is the best person for reoccuring miscarraiges. She specializes in it and is brilliant. I myself had Dr Elsa at City, and she was fabulous too.

Hi Emily You know how many I have in my tribe and we have a Prado. We fit four car seats, DH and I and sometimes our Helper too! aka Raspberry Swirl x Just re-read your post and can see you dont want a 4x4. But if you do succumb, Prado's are great ;) edited by Tru Blu on 06/02/2012

Thanks momof3. I also posted this on the Dubai board and apparently NBAD now has some restrictions in place. However Emirates NBD will do it but it costs 25 dirhams a month.

Does anyone know if it is possible for a Maid (for example) to open a bank account? We want to take out Maid with us to Greece in a few months time but they are telling us that she needs a bank account in order for her to get a visa. Is this right? TIA

I highly recommend Family and Friends which is located on the marina side of Al Fattan building (I think it is part of Al Fattan actually). The owner/teacher is a lady called Joanne, my DS adored her! (he was her teacher when she was at Cello). She is wonderful and I have friends who's LO's attend Family and Friends and they are very happy.

kiwispiers, when I was charting I realized that it is very difficult to feel ovulation when it occurs. I researched extensively and found you can get pain or cramping before, during and even after ovulation has occured.

Just to clarify - is the Dubai Mall Souk the Souk al Baha? Nope, the Souk in Dubai Mall is the Gold & Diamond Souk. Souk Al Bahar is different, all shops, if any are left open are on the ground floor. Oh thank you. Lucky I checked back before sending DH on a wild goose chase!!!

Hi Nikki, sorry can't help you with the salt beef sandwhich (perhaps you could pull of a recipe or copy the one that you saw on MasterChef Aus). I watched the last series (with Marilyn and Callum) but are you watching the new series? (with Danni - she is the only one I can remember) what channel is it on?
