I agree with Lettie, I've seen the service apartment in Nuran, it is nice but pretty expensive. There are few service apartment in the area, e.g Radisson Blu Dubai Marina, Marina View Hotel, Dusit Residence in Dubai, Grosvernor House. I am pretty sure they can give you good rate since summer has started and most of the hotel/hotel apartment giving less price.

To DC2DXB I have a friend who works in Travel Agent, and they arrange all sort of tours including private tours. He gave me his company website, and I just realize it's on Indonesian language :). The website is www.baliwisatamurah.com. You may drop them an email infoattropicalbalitours.com attention to Pak Nyoman. I have his mobile no, let me know if you need this. About the fast-track....hmmmm i never heard such a thing, I need to investigate aswell :). Will keep you update. I am going to Bali in July for months, schools holiday actually ;-) To April Flower Unfortunatelly there are no direct flight to Bali...hiks hiks I wish there is :(. I like to fly with Singapore Airlines, price, timing, transit airport just perfect for us. I believe they have two flight to Bali daily one morning one afternoon. Emirates only fly to Jakarta, so you need to take local flight to Bali and I have to say, I never been to Jakarta and will try not to go there :). Qatar fly to Bali, but it can be pricey, and I think there's a quick stopover in Qatar and Jakarta...not sure. To Matahari I guess your comments referring to Singapore :) edited by TSI on 24/05/2012

To Littlejo There are rabies in the island and the goverment is doing their best to solve the issue. Just make sure not to touch any animal especially dog while you are in Bali. In regards to monkey forest, there are actually two in Bali, one in Ubud, one in Sanggeh. The one in Sanggeh is wild and violent one, i will not recommend it to anybody since there's been cases that they stole lots of things from tourist...you name it! The one in Ubud is less harmless, so you should be okay, but by saying that, make sure you dont have anything dangling on you and dont scare them as well. To DC2DXB About the day tour, may I suggest you to take Kintamani tour that's hould include Gunung Batur (active volcano in Bali), Danau Batur, Pura Ulundanu and Besakih Temple tour. It's around 2 - 3 hours drive. Also if you have time to visit village called "Trunyan" it's on Danau Batur aswell. The unique thing about this village is the way they burried the the dead, the corpse it's on the ground....so you can see everything...i mean everything from whole body to decompose process....but no smell at all!!!! So if you do decide to go there....make sure you are 101% brave!! :)

To Snowflakes Yes, I agree Sanur is a good area to stay especially if you travelling with family or children, easy access for pushchair, lots of greenary, relax, not too crowded compare to Kuta. All hotels in Sanur is good one, especially those on the beach...long white sand beach...where you can see sun rise everyday....just wonderfull...I miss Bali :) Legian and Seminyak is also a nice area to stay, well it's more in centre area where lot's of things happening e.g restaurants, bars, night club. If I compare between those area then Kuta (most crowded), Seminyak, Legian, Sanur. To DC2DXB You can do lots of walking on those area, shops in Seminyak is everywhere while in Ubud more consentrate in particular area. Ubud is known as art and craft area e.g statues, pantings, souveniers you name it! Dont forget to bargain, the earlier you go shopping, the more bargain you can get....especially if you are the first customer they get. Day trip in Ubud hmmmm, perhaps monkey forest in Ubud, Tegalalang rice terrace, Ubud Palace, local art market, Celuk area (where they sell lots of silver), bali bird park. Weatherwise....less hotter than Dubai for sure! :-D, it is hot but not as humid as Dubai and you do feel a breeze but dont so bring along your hat! At night it will chill but not cold. If you have time and would like to try traditional Balinese cuisine, try to visit restaurant call "Bebek Bengil" - wet or dirty duck in English. I think it's located somewhere in Ubud, restaurant is facing rice field. Their roast duck with Balinese spice just divine!!! Let me know if you need more info Ladies!!!!

Hi DC2DXB To be honest with you it is not a law in Bali to have your child strap on car seat, in fact you will be surprise when you reach Bali :). If you intent to rent a car then yes, I suggest you to bring your own car seat. If not, then you can hold your child while you are in a car. You can not drive faster then 80 Km/hour in Bali since motorbike took over the road most of the time. It will be summer in July, so make sure you bring suncream and hat. Bug repellent, use the one that's plug on the wall - electric type and apply some on your skin. If you using baby cot, bring along the net just to prevent it. Bike tours, there are plenty but I dont think they provide the one with toddler seat, well never seen in in city area. BTW, which hotel are you staying in Bali? I am from Bali, so you can basically ask me anything :)

Agree with pollydxb1. I dont think children needs E-gate card. What we normaly when we travel is....you go through the E-gate first and go to the immigration officer on E-gate counter to have their passport stamp. :). The home country...I put my parent home country address :)
