You can get a slow cooker from Jashanmal in Abu Dhabi Mall (food court end, ground floor). I got mine from there and was around Dh160 and works brilliantly. Doesn't have a timer, but I found a solution - Ikea does a delayed timer plug (in lighting section) so you plug your slow cooker in with the timer plug and set it to run from e.g. 4 hours from now until 9 hours from now. Hope this helps!
I heartily recommend Axa - renewal over the phone with a credit card and they send the documents to your door. They also honour no claims bonuses and the customer service is outstanding. Haven't had to make a claim yet though...
