There are opportunities for UK qualified family lawyers here. Several expats here require specialist advice and proceedings are filed in the UK by family lawyers here. You would have more luck applying to the firms directly as the agencies priorities commercial lawyers.

Av, I was thinking of you yesterday. I was on a steam train in the uk and there was a young lad of about 15 sitting across the aisle from me. He was well onto the spectrum and I think, nonverbal. Anyway, everytime he took a sip from his tin of coke he would put the tin down and cover his ears. I don't know what was going on in his mouth but it was quite obviously affecting his ears. Anyway I thought of you because it was such a fantastic example of one sensory issue affecting another one of the senses. I new to this as my son was only recently diagnosed on the spectrum and read this thread with interest. When he sees a really bright, colourful pic, he will more than likely cover his eyes....def a sensory issue. I am looking for a good OT and therapist and will call Kid in Motion. <em>edited by uaerocks on 02/09/2013</em>

We used Dr Christa Strauss who has tons of exp, she is very warm, approachable and her report is comprehensive with lots of recommendations. I felt she was excellent with my DD and would definately recommend her for ADHD testing. We paid 5,350 dhs. Her number is 0504549096. Good luck! :)

I'm in a similar position to you but I have started attending networking groups and recently met with some people in the business. I am hoping something comes out of that. Network with as much people as possible. That is also a good idea. How did you find yor networking group? Does anybody knows about some chemical engineering networking groups, or just to recommend any that could be suitable. I got a contact once for a networking group, but when I phoned them a man told me that they stopped organizing meetings 2 yrs ago. I got my self on to the BNI networking group which you could do any basically ask if any one could put you in touch with chemical engineers. I have been told there is an business womens networking group that meets monthly. A good place to network. I am trying to get myself on that one next month to networksome more! The groups are really aimed at people who won businesses but for us a great way to network.
