Could anyone share what their typical monthly gas bill would be? Is it much over the AED 50 that they charge. Looking to decide if we should install electric or gas cooker. TIA for any info :);)

Thanks for your reply Cornish Pixie. We are actually leaving Dubai for Azerbaijan and did hire a pet relocator which has been very helpful. Just wanted to know how it has been for others when you get to the airport with a big dog and have to go thru security.... I mean, I will take the dog out of the crate and have him on a leash but..... a bit nervous of other's reaction including the security staff..... The airport website offers little information. I appreciate your response :)

Hi twin_butterfly, go to the Global village Iran pavillion and you will find all that you need. Be ready to bargain. the same tablecloth I bought in a Tehran bazaar was almost double the price here but you can bargain them down. Hope this helps.

Thank you LouiseBerlin.... I will absolutely go to the restaurant, what a great idea... I need to get as much information as possible since I have never been. We do not speak Turkish, however my husband being from Iran can sort of understand the language... Thanks for your idea :)

I like Juan's Salon in JLT. Great for color and highlights. I think they are running a special this month.

thanks Norak for a quick response :). I called and they said it is a money order transfer, unfortunately not a piece of paper I can mail out but rather just a transfer of money into an individual's account. I will keep looking and hope for more replies :)

Great thread! Je m' appelle Unsourire ( french) May i take this one step further? Want to echange your language with me , i can help you converse in french if you help me with farsi ! I am learning from a book/cd but i think meeting and speaking with a native speaker would be much better. Just a thought :)
