Mssassy, hang in there it will get better. The most important thing is looking after your precious baby, everything else can wait. I've been in your situation a few months a go, my daughter was also sleeping late due to hating sleeping, although i've tried many ways to get her to sleep. She sleeps at 7/8pm now but still wakes up during the night but that will change one day. Just rememebr that these months will go by so fast that she'll be in nursery in no time and you'll have lots of me time. I still don't have any me time but it's much more relaxing then the first 6 months. If you need someoneto talk to or would enjoy some interaction with other mummies and playgroups for your little one let me know. Getting out of the house and meeting other mums in your position will make you feel better.

Wow and these people didn't get their cars taken away from them because.......? With fines like these they should take their licence away. I've been driving here for 4 years and had been stopped once by police for illegal u turn which they just introduced this year (never did it again), but when there's people that get fined and still do it then they don't deserve to drive

She has an amazing voice and is very talented, plus she's singing in arabic, I definitely think she has a chance to win. When i first heard her i was speechless, it's very difficult to sing like Um Kaltoom

Don't worry about it :) my daughter was exact same way when she was 5 months, actually it would have been a miracle if she pooed every 5 days instead she poohed twice a month!!! My doctor was only concerned if she lasted 20 days without poohing. She was like that until she turned 8 months when she ate more solids.

Summer dream, its best to get it checked out althought i'd think it could be an ingrown hair or a fatty lump. I have the exact same thing on my right arm pit since i hit puberty and had so many ultra sounds to be said that it was fatty lump. Hope her's will be nothing

This thread is hilarious, that being said I have to admit i'm a butt sniffing mum. I should be wary on who's looking the next time I do it. But yes I think it is acceptable.

I agree with all the ladies, books are all different and you'll just get confused. You'll know what your baby needs. I was you last year, I read Gina fords books, dr Spock, babies first year etc and all I can say is that my daughter was a very difficult baby, had colic and doesn't sleep so the books didn't really help at all. I just followed my daughter and mashAllah she is a contented baby, alway smiling and chatting to everyone. I have plenty of books if you'd like them, I don't think I want to use them for baby number two because I've always felt I was doing something wrong because it's not following a certain routine. Also become a member of baby centre :) it's a really good website

Will you be going to live in Tripoli? My brothers all work there, 2 of them are actually leaving due to electricity cutting of everyday and water shortage (actually there's no water at the moment). Also hearing gun shots at night now and again is pretty scary. The country is still trying to heal from the damages

I was 14 at the time in london and was meant to be at school but was sick so stayed at home. My mum shouted for us to come downstairs, we all ran downstairs to see what happened. At the time it was one plane that went into the tower and we were watching it live, everyone thought it was an accident until suddenly another plane came crashing into the other tower and the screen went blank. It was shocking! May the innocent rest in peace

Thank you Chizz for your reply :). I've already browsed Dubizzle and there wasn't a single flat for sale in that area. I use to live in wafi residence, I loved it there but they're not selling flats in the building, it's only rentals. I'll check the building you were in and see if they have any for sale. I checked most property sites and most searches have office for sale instead of flats

Why not open a bank account and he puts in money on a monthly basis. Discuss with him what you need to buy on a monthly basis such as groceries, clothes, home stuff etc and see what he says.

Hi ladies, I'm looking to buy a flat around wafi or healthcity but real estates never get back to me which makes it discouraging. Firstly I was wondering if an expat can buy in that area and secondly does any recommend a good real estate agent that cares about their clients instead brushing them off. Thanks in advance :)

Hi Untouchable, is she eating solids? You haven't mentioned so I was wondering. If not, this could also be a factor, sometimes babies refuse their milk because they want something else, happened to mine around 5 months. Having said that if she is losing weight perhaps you chould take her to the Dr-how can u tell she's losing weight btw? Do you have a baby scale? Hi Big Blue, she started solids since she was 5 months old, she use to love it but now she just gags and making puking sounds even before I put the food in her mouth:$. My doctor did say babies go through these phases before she went through this but I might go and take her just in case. I notice she lost weight from carrying her, her arms are thinner and her tummy isnt as big as before also i weight her with me and subtract my weight lol. People noticed she lost weight too

she could be teething, have you checked her gums? She still has no teeth so it could be teething but they're not swollen or red. I'm just worried about her lack of appetite as she loosing weight fast. She's still breastfeeding so i'm trying to feed her as much as possible but she only drinks when its nap time or bed time since she's very active and doesn't want to miss anything.

In support of the UAE hospitals - I recently had an op that they no longer perform in the UK, NHS or otherwise - so very pleased about that. Considering friends of mine have had major problems with the hospitals here including losing a child through negligence then 2 others being misdiagnosed with cancer i have nothing but praise for the NHS I do believe that they can get it wrong all over the world however if i was seriously ill i would be on a plane immediately. ( Just my opinion) x i agree

When I lived in the UK, I had a lump on my thigh. I went to a private hospital and they said it was a bruise, i went to another private hospital and they also diagnosed it as a bruise. When I went NHS, they knew straight from the ultrasound and MRI that it was cancer. So my point is NHS isn't that bad, yes I had issues when i gave birth there due to lack of midwives and having my daughters first checkup when she was 3 weeks old instead of 3 days old but if it wasn't for NHS i still would presume I had a bruise on my thigh.
