Congratulations ladies! I'm pregnant with my second, due 7th of November and I already saw a doctor due to spotting and mc before this baby so went to check if everything was ok. I still haven't found a gynecologist, my gynecologist went on leave the day she saw me since she'll be having her baby. A lot of people recommend doctor Elsa, I might give her a go and see .

I believe we both have toddlers at the same age, my little one will also start same time but in my opinion and my personal choice I'd definitely not put her on the bus.

Thank you for your concern simpleasabc and for the article, I wasn't actually aware of that due to the fact of seeing lots of people selling in markets. Are those also illegal? Thanks a lot sourskittleashnut, I'll check them out and see :)

Hi ladies, Does anyone know where I can buy stretchy cotton material from? I've already checked textile souq and naïf, they all seem to think the other shop has it but I found myself going to all of them without any luck. They did say they'll have it in stock in summer but was wondering if anyone knows a shop that has it now. Thanks again

Unfortunately that isn't the way it works here! There is very little chance of successfully fighting once you've bern ticketed. Failure to pay could mean losing your driving license too, it's not worth it. I have been through this a few times. How sad. Thanks for your input and experience.

It's not wrong to whip out a potty when a child needs to go but it's wrong when your doing it in a public place and there's plenty of bathrooms around especially since it's in front of a shop:(. What a scary world we live in, there's no privacy, the fact that someone took a picture of it happening is worrying and disturbing. Also why is this news worthy?

Thanks Doubting Thomas, I haven't seen the rules in a while so I'll read them again. Maybe the admins will be nice to me and leave this thread up. IzzyOnTheSeat, thanks for your reply, if it goes ahead then I'll go to the police station and ask. A lot of people are backing out because of how tough the system is here. It Is about Gaza.

Thanks ladies for your replies, the reason why I asked is because I've been to a protest here before and they obtained a permit for it to be legal. I'm just not sure how to get hold of those people so thought I'd ask here. But I won't be needing one anymore since it won't be happening. I just thought it's rude to delete a genuine question without the admin giving me the reason for not post that question. Thanks again ladies for your time in answering anyway.

Hope that helps

Hi Rowla, I haven't read other peoples advice but I'll tell you what I did. I started feeding my daughter at 4.5 months but only a few puréed fruits and vegetables such as butternut squash, pears, apples, bananas and if you want something filling then avocados will fill his baby stomach. Start with the basic fruits and veggies and work yourself up just in case he's allergic to anything. I started feeding her porridge at around 6/7 months, normally I blend formula milk with oats, half a banana and flaxseed which would be better then the boxed baby porridge. This was the advice I was given from my doctor

Helped a lady and her family go back to her country when they were stuck in Dubai. Usually when I shop in Chiotrams on al wasl road I usally buy some water and a snack for the car washer thats always there. Pick up rubbish with a bunch of volunteers on the beach This wasn't here in Dubai, in the UK a lady was hit by a bus in front of me and no one cared to help, instead they stood there watching. She got up, staggering all over the place with a head that was bleeding badly. Since no one helped I took her to a near cafe, tried to stop her bleeding and gave her lots of water so she's hydrated and waited with her until the ambulance and police showed up. I can't believe no one else helped, I was a very pregnant woman at the time (was about to give birth any day) and was in shock too but alhamdulilah she was fine. You gave water to a head wound victim? Now one was around when a bus hit someone in the UK????? yes I gave her water because she was drunk and seemed like she was going to faint. There were lots of people, they just didn't help. People on the bus stayed on the bus and pedestrians just watched

My daughter either gets porridge with a tbsp of flaxseed and 2 or 3 dates to sweeten the porridge, very healthy and filling until lunch time. Or you can try avocado, banana, honey and milk smoothie if she likes milkshakes. Or scrambled eggs with spinach and tomatoes

Don't worry Zambia, my doctor always tells me if they're active, and have full nappies then they're fine. My daughter is also 15 months and weighs 9.8kgs and my doctor says thats average and healthy for her age. If you'd like his name and number I can't recommend him enough, he's great.

Did he tell you he didn't want kids before you were married? I think you both need to sit down and discuss this seriously, tell him how you feel, everything you told us tell him. He's not a mind reader so he might think your not 100% sure you want children. My husband was also like this, he wanted kids but didn't want kids for 5/10 years into our marriage which i didn't want. After 3 years of marriage we have a beautiful girl and he's smitten over her. If he's telling people that he wants children then i'm sure he does but not just yet. I hope everything gets sorted out and good luck :) try not to worry

I've been to the Banyan tree for our honeymoon, it was not bad but could have been better, I guess the bugs destroyed the holiday more then the hotel itself. The service was great, its a romatic getaway but gekos and coakroaches came into the room, also i couldn't swim because the fruit bats were flying over my head which scared me. I also saw the four seasons whilst i was there but banyan tree seemed more exotic ad relaxing, but like i said if you don't like bugs like me then its not a place for you.

If it was up to me then i'd put camera's left right and centre whether it's illegal or not, at the end of the day someone will be looking after your child especially since they can't talk so god knows what they can do to them. After seeing a horrific video I don't think I'll ever leave my child with anyone until they can talk and express their feelings. Sorry if it sounds harsh but trying not to be.
