Mybox is cheaper especially if you are shipping multiple packages. However, it is not as fast as Shop and Ship in regards to delivery.

Hi guys, I am planning to do a cleanup of my makeup. I have some blushes and lipsticks that I do not reach for any more. It is not because they are expired or of low quality. I do not reach for them anymore as I have others that I love more. I am however reluctant to just throw them away. I guess its the hoarder in me :biggrin: I know that there are several options for donating makeup or getting rid of them in US. Does anyone know of any such options in Dubai?

Hi Flames, I had shipped my first order to my Mybox on 8th April and it went through without a hitch. When I made a second order on the 12th, it was cancelled. Do you no longer use Sephora online? What other places have you found? Also, did you try using Mybox's Canada address instead of their US one. Since they just added a Canada address, it may not yet be flagged on the Sephora site as a parcel forwarding service.

Hi Flames, I have used Aramex Shop and Ship, MyUS and MyBox which was recommended by you. Of all these, I found that MyBox was the cheapest. MyUS though is fast.

Check out ispa in JLT. They had a good review on Sassy mamma. Also, they bring the swipe machine with them so that you can use your card instead of using cash.

Hi mommypie, I made 2 purchases. The first was for 62$ and the second one was for 98$. I don't think that the amount will be flagged as an issue. I read that sometimes they cancel orders if you order multiple items of the same thing. For example, if you order 10 gwen stefani wonderland lipsticks. They might think that you are buying them to resell them at a higher price. Did you check out Nordstorm. They have a lot of products. Also Amazon might be worth checking out. Also if you buy the products from the respective brand's website, you might get some discounts if you are a first time user. Urban decay gives 10% off for first time users. Colourpop cosmetics gives 5$ off and so on. But, I really hope that Sephora is not banned for us. Fingers crossed. BTW, did you try ordering anything after you changed your shipping details.

Hi, I just made a purchase from Sephora yesterday using MyBox and I had no issues. My order has been shipped from Sephora. From what you wrote, it seems that there maybe a small difference between your shipping and billing address. Just keep your billing address and shipping information the same. You should not have any issues.

Hi Mommypie, You have access to brands that are not available in UAE when you shop on the US stores. There is a price difference and sometimes it is small and sometimes it is big. For eg: 1) Mac PRO PALETTE EYE SHADOW X 2 in US: 18 aed. In Dubai 55 aed 2) Mac EYE SHADOW REFILL PAN in US: 37 aed. In Dubai 95 aed 3) Thebalm Manizer sisters palette in US: 103 aed. In Dubai 200-230 aed I know the shipping charges are there, but since these are beauty supplies, they won't weigh too much. I would not recommend buying a single product from US and getting it shipped here as with the shipping charges, you will end up paying almost the same amount if you had just bought the product from Dubai. However, if you are buying a few items, then it may be worthwhile. Also, a lot of the sites have promos and coupon codes. I saved abt 30 dollars when I bought from the Tarte website. Also saved abt 20 dollars using coupons on Sephora. Also, whatever I buy from TheBalm website today will be at a 50% off. This is an extension of their Cyber Monday sale. Hi Flames, I got my Hautelook order just now. They arrived in good condition and the shades are beautiful.

Hi Sarah, My hautelook order has not yet been shipped to my address. It has only reached my ship and shop account. I ordered on Nov 19 and it takes almost a month to get your stuff. This is not bad though, considering the savings you get. Check out the 80% off sales they have every now and the. Their shipping is high, but when you compare them to the prices in Dubai, it is fine. Also, sorry about Ulta. I hope that they allow international payments soon. :)

Hi ladies, I usually have no problem using my Paypal/NBD card on various USA websites (amazon, gymboree). I came across Ulta.com and they said my card is outside of USA and they cannot accept as a payment method. I tried my Paypal, then made a new Paypal using my USA address and USD as the currency, linked my other NBD card, but somehow Ulta.com still detects my account is outside US! How do I get a USA card or is there a way around this? Experience appreciated, thanks! p.s. I tired other websites to get the same products like beauty.com and walgreens.com, all detect that my card is non-US p.p.s. title should say "Now What?" but I can't change it lolz Her workaround Thanks for all the replies ladies! I got my US Paypal to work, even though its linked to my NBD debit card, I just had to update the address to a US address under Billing and Shipping. Thank you!

I order from them all the time via MyBox. Till date, I haven't had any issues. My order gets shipped within 2 days, reaches my MyBox address in 2-3 days and reaches me here in Dubai in another 3-5 days. Btw, I always use Ebates (http://goo.gl/kpYaLg) to get cashback on all of my online orders. They pay me back via Paypal every 2 months. Plus they list all the ongoing promos/discount codes on their page for additional savings. Sometimes the main website doesn't advertise the deals and I find them either through Ebates or Nouvea Cheap/Hip 2 Save. Highly recommend them! Oh MyBox has free sign up this month - https://mybox.postaplus.com/ I have a Shop&Ship account as well but I moved to MyBox as it was a) cheaper b) faster c) none of my orders have gotten cancelled yet :') Rates are AED 30 for first half and AED 25 for every half kg after the first Oh I do not work for them....just very happy with their service :D Tip - For all my orders, I put my MyBox address as the billing and shipping address. If your billing address is different than your shipping address, then it flags up on their system. Till date the only company that questioned me about the my billing details was Aldo (Canadian Website) but they shipped my order immediately after verifying my details :) Hi Flames, Did you order anything from Sephora recently using MyBox? Oh could you please share your experience with HauteLook? I have wanted to buy a few products from them but heard that they split the order in multiple packages for shipping and that would result in ridiculous shipping charges via freight forwarder. Anyway, what do you usually buy from Hautelook? I want to try out Morphe and Lorac products so bad :( This is the first time that I bought from Hautelook. I bought some Illamasqua nail polishes. After the reduced rate, they were about 26 AED each. I bought it last month and they have shipped it now only. You have to wait for at least a month to get your stuff. Also, if you order from different events, they will be shipped separately. But if your parcel forwarding service can hold your orders, consolidate them and send everything in a single package, it should not be a huge deal. Some services provide a 60 days holding period.
