We moved into Marina Residence 4 on Jan 20. Apartment is nice, but we had to deal with a few issues like flooding in the utility area when we used the washing machine, some electrics not working, MB shower glass was a bit loose, but I guess it comes with a new apartment. Maintenance took quite a while to deal with the issues.
The worst was having DU as our Internet/TV/Landline provider (no choice). Our landline only works intermittently and we have made many calls (with our mobile) to complain. 2 days ago when I used the landline (while it worked) to call my mobile, a number I did not recognise showed up on my mobile. Last night, we were all woken up at 11 pm by a DU technician who asked if our phone was working. This morning, a lady who spoke in a foreign language called. Looks to me like they have switched our number with someone else. I dread to see the bill!
Thanks Shelly. And no, I don't work for Etisalat, Freckles. I am a housewife who made a wrong decision to move to Palm Jumeirah where DU is the only provider. Etisalat was our provider when we lived in the Al Sufouh area for 4 years and we never had a single problem. FYI, bornconfused, I was home for 2-1/2 hours (11am-1:30pm) when the technician was here. You must have read my msg wrong. And I did inform them that I was available from 8am-1:30pm. They said they could fix it in an hour or less. They knew exactly where the box was as every apartment has the same design. Do you work for DU?
