I ordered from lush UK, figured it would be easiest and cheapest with it being a UK company. Biggest problem I have is limiting what I buy, I usually fail ?

I've ordered a few times from lush and have it shipped directly here rather than via shop & ship. The price is less than half the price in the shops here plus, because it's an export, at checkout the VAT is taken off so you in effect save another 20%. The shipping charges are ok and it calculates the cost at checkout so you know how much it is. Delivery is via UPS (or at least due to the weight of goods I order that's who it comes by) and delivery is about 2-3 days from ordering so really quick. All I would say to watch out for is if your order including the shipping cost is greater than the equivalent of US$ 300, then you'll have to pay duty of 5% of the total order value plus UPS charge a clearing fee of AED 75. Despite all this it is still cheaper than buying here plus there are more products online. I've had some damaged and missing items before but I've just e-mailed Lush and the missing/damaged items are sent out FOC so no problems.

Hi i know someone who could help. I've been using him since June last year, he knows his stuff and makes sure the exercises meet your goal. One of his newer clients has had a 3 month check and has lost 8kgs and reduced her body fat from 27% to 17% so I'm sure he could help you. His number is 056 144 2527.

Hi Jupiter If it were me i'd ask myself the following questions: - what am I saving the money for i.e. purchase an asset elsewhere in the world? pension fund? - where will I be spending the money? - what would I do if I have to leave here in a hurry? This would give you an idea of what currency you should be keeping (for me being british I hold mine in GBP). As for the exchange rate, as a financial advisor friend of mine said to me when I was looking to move a lot of money 'the best rate you'll get is on the day you exchange it' meaning trying to guess the currency markets is a waste of time, unless of course you've got multi-millions or it's your job :) Hope this helps

One thing to think of is what would you do if you needed to get your baby to the doctor quickly? being the mother of a 3 year old and having a couple of scary incidents when he was a baby, If I were in your position and did not have a car at my disposal i'd want to be in walking distance of a doctors. Have you looked at the apartments in Motorcity as they are quite spacious yet there's a lot of retail (and a doctor's) on your doorstep plus there's always taxi's (apart from a Thursday night) at the Ranches? Hope you find something you like soon

Hi I live in Layan and have a 2 year old son who goes to the nursery. He loves it there and it's great being able to walk through the landscaping in the morning and afternoon to take him there and back. His class were without a teacher for January but the teaching assistants are great. His new teacher has just started and when I went to collect him today, she was sitting amongst them singing away while he was dancing. I liked the feel of the nursery as it's closed classrooms so although there are a lot of children attending, it doesn't feel like it. I also like the way they move the children around so they have a seperate music and dance room and painting room as well as the outside area - it's not as if they are in the classroom for the whole day. Although i've not experienced any other nursery, my son looks forward to going there and is happy to tell me what he's been up to when I collect him so that's a good sign for me. As for living in Layan, normally you don't hear noise from the 611 but if it's windy like today obviously you can. As below, we are all eagerly awaiting Choitrams to open to save the drive to Motorcity or the Ranches and the gym is all equipped and ready to go (but not open yet). As for the road, you can access the 611 from it and you get used to driving through global village to get in. All-in-all I love living here and being able to walk about with my son and at his age the playground is fine. Hope this helps

Hi I was wondering if there were any owners of Reem3 properties at the Ranches who have found a contractor to fix the rendering under the roof tiles at the top of the wall? Mine is starting to come off, i've been to Emaar to see if they are going to fix it and i'm waiting for a response but in the meantime i'm trying to find a contractor who would be able to do the work - anyone have any recommendations? From driving around I can see virtually every house has the same issue so it must be either a failing in the material and/or workmanship. Has anyone else tackled Emaar about it? Any help is appreciated! Thanks
