My sons go to GEMS Wellington International School off Sheik Zaeyd. It's amazing and offers far more than the school they went to last year. I enrolled them in a new school last year and well let's just say never again. Always go for the well established schools than schools that look pretty on the outside, charge 85,000 for Year 1 and still have teachers who have to buy resources for th class since the school chooses not too. Good luck on your search.

In my opinion, I would choose a well established school. I know first hand thaT DBSJP is a gorgeous school, but it's a cubic zirconian. Teacher turnover rate is high. Most of them by the way are excellent, but do not get the support they need either. Students do not get the support they need. It's all smoke and mirrors. Do yourself and your child a favor and go for a well established school with procedures already in place versus a new sparkly school with no resources and a medicinal feel. Good luck.

Are there any out there that don't cost a fortune?

I have rented through Airbnb... but back in the States before I moved here....it was my go-between. It was an amazing experience. The place was adorable and the owners "hosts" were unbelievably kind and accommodating. I would routinely search for places in Dubai, while back home, and was surprised at the rates, especially for some of the places they were offering. But just like anything... just be careful. I have numerous friends that have used the site and would use it again if traveling. There are safeguards as well, which I also had to use. I had prepaid for a place and the guy never confirmed. I contacted the company via chat and they immediately gave me a refund and a $150 credit. Just like anything... I would read the reviews and make sure they are hosts and not real estate agencies trying to rip people off.
