I have used the search function and could not find the answers to the following questions. Your help is most appreciated. I am unable to enter details on the online form - can I print it and write the responses? How is payment made? Where is the form sent to? Thanks in advance. We called the embassy but they told us to check the website which we have but I must be daft cause I can't find any of this information. TIA

worked for me. Lost 9 kg or so and kept it off for almost a year now. I'm at my "true" weight but I'd like to lose another 4kg. Will go back on it after the holidays to lose the additional 4.

We have two that are both IATA approved. One is bigger for about a 25kg dog and the other worked for a 10 kg dog. We used one to bring our dog from Canada and other to bring it from the UK. Let me know and you can have a look. xmasbaby05 at gmail dot com.

We always put the tree up on 16 December growing up. Now we put it up on 1 december but parents stick to the 16th tradition. We always take it down 12 days after xmas.

....or they don't want to put it on the dirty floor nor leave it unprotected. I rarely put my purse down ever and they are not all that glam. I wouldn't pick it up though if it were somewhere safe "just" for a picture...now thats just odd. Celebrities do it, b/c they are often gifted the products to be seen with it, and thus create demand for it.

Your child knocks on the door and says "trick or treat" and usually the host will hand out candy. When we were little, some people would say "Trick" and we had to tell them a joke in order to get the candy. It was all good fun!

I did just under two years ago and thought it was brilliant. Good care for me, excellent care for my baby that was in the NICU and was very pleased with how that was run, and in general our overall care.

Yes, Princess I, based around the Harvest Festival. Canadian Thanksgiving is not necessarily celebrated by all Canadians for that reason, because it does have a Christian connection. I grew up in a predominantly Jewish neighbourhood in Toronto and only my non-Jewish friends celebrated the holiday. True but also celebrated by a lot of non-Christians as well, as its a great opportunity for people to recognise all that they are thankful for regardless of faith. They even have Halal Turkey now for the Muslims!

Or alternatively, when you exit the Al Ain way, take Route 611 to Um Sequim (runs parallel to Emirates Rd - but avoids you having to do the Emirates Road u-turn) and run that straight through to MOE. It takes about 20 minutes. Hope that helps.

Not my first choice but I grew up in Toronto. My cousins however are from peg and LOVE it! They have a good set of friends, everyone is so laid back, its very outdoorsy, sure winters suck and summers are buggy but they love it there and wouldn't move to Toronto if they had the choice. Its just really what you make of it, I suppose!

Thats horrible and so sad for the LO. I agree that the teacher should have known. Our class had name tags on as well...I was really happy with day 1 in that regard.

I agree pollydxb - the initial days arent very nice. I think I will buy the recipe book to give me a few more ideas rather than eating the same thing. For you experienced Dukaners, I had been advised just 3 days on the attack phase - would I lose more weight by staying on this phase longer or would it be best to go onto the next phase after the first 3 days? Also, for the cruise phase, did you alternate 1 pp day and 1 pv day or did you have consecutive days of each? TIA! If you don't have a lot to lose, you should only do the 3 days as suggested. Your body will get used to it and it hinders the overall effect. I lost about 10kg on it starting in Feb and haven't gained back a pound with regular eating now so I do believe in the method! Good luck and if you have any other questions, let me know! As for the boredom, yes it does set in but there are a lot of different things to eat - curries, roasts, and because of the dairy, its a big help. When you do the Protein-veggy days, it feels like such a treat!

Starfishalicja - do you bring your boxers or did you get them from here? My neighbour would like to get one and since we brought ours from Canada, we didn't have any suggestions. Thanks everyone. Only another dog lover would understand my heart breaking right now... Hi xmasbaby, I am so sorry for your loss xx To answer your Q, i got my girl from a local litter here in Dubai and adopted the boy a few months ago from a family that didn't have enough time for him. It is surely too soon now, but when you're ready come visit my two xx edited by starfishalicja on 25/08/2011 Thanks everyone - only animal lovers could understand what we are going through. I truly feel raw today. Starfishalicja - can you please email me at xmasbaby05 at gmail dot com - I'd like to pass on the local breeders number to my neighbours. I think seeing another little boxer pup around while we deal with our loss would be helpful. I know once we're ready we'll get another boxer as well, so I would love to take you up on that. We've had 2 boxers now - one for 11 years and our last for 8 - it never gets easier when they go. <em>edited by xmasbaby on 25/08/2011</em>

I think the same! When my 7 yr old watches some of the programmes she has such attitude and will push it more with hands on hips even my 4 yr old will copy things. We do limit tv but I do find that channel very trash tv. I guess it's trying to get that balance. OMG, I noticed the same thing with my 6 year old! We're massively limiting tv at the moment.

Thanks everyone. She was breathing so hard last night we took her to the emergency vet at 1:30 am. We were there until 5am and they found an inflammation on her spine that is causing nerve damage which was why she was falling over, and couldn't walk. It was horrible, she couldn't even stand on her legs and bruised her nose...I thought we were losing her last night and I just wasn't prepared. They also found a tumour in her stomach but they don't think thats the cause of her current situation. She's now on pain relief and an ant-inflammatory and seems to be stronger today. Not panting and was able to stand for a few minutes. She even ate! We are to monitor her for the next few days and if she doesn't get better, we'll need to make some decisions. I'll get a second opinion with Dr. Doreen below - thanks everyone. Starfishalicja - do you bring your boxers or did you get them from here? My neighbour would like to get one and since we brought ours from Canada, we didn't have any suggestions. Thanks everyone. Only another dog lover would understand my heart breaking right now...

We go to the one at the polo club. Anyone have any other recommendations? We're going again in the morning. They ran blood tests and took an xray and said she was fine. My heart feels so heavy right now - she was my baby before my children.

You'll need to provide proof of relationship - ie. if its your grandmother (wow, that she's 60 - my mother's that age!), you'll likely need your mothers birth certificate and then yours, along with an affadavit of dependency suggesting that you will soley responsible for her financially, along with salary letters and a short note. You apply to the humanitarian section, they will decide within a week. If you explain that you do not have a copy of your grandfather's death certificate, they may understand. You can get all the information online. Good luck

Thanks Natalie, thats very helpful. I haven't let our dog out b/c when she sees her she starts barking quite loudly (she's a 40 kg boxer) and I was worried about how they might interact. She's certainly not a vicious dog but I just didn't know what to do...Perhaps I'll let her out today and see...
