Hi Mrs. B, I have used Emirates Home Nursing and have had a good experience with them overall. You have to be careful though because one time they sent me a nurse who wasn't good at all and I called the company and told them to replace her immediately. All the other nurses I have tried have been great though. I would recommend observing the nurse they send at first just to be sure she's ok. If you're not happy with her don't hesitate to ask for a replacement ... you are paying alot for the service and should be happy. You may end up trying more than one nurse before you and baby feel comfortable with one. Hope this helps :)

Hi dxb_2013, It's very important that you go to a hospital with an excellent NICU because many twins are born preterm. Medcare does not have a proper NICU and in my opinion is an unsafe option for twin pregnancies. I had a pregnant friend with placenta previa who started bleeding at night. Her OB was at medcare and when she arrived at the Medcare emergency room they refused to admit her due to their lack of NICU facilities. She was forced to switch OBs and hospitals at that point to American Hospital where they accepted her case. Welcare does have a NICU and so does City Hospital. City Hospital's NICU has recently been expanded and has a good reputation. It's still early in your pregnancy and you can change OBs so you can deliver at City Hospital if you have your heart set on it. HTH and wishing you well with your pregnancy :)

I don't know if you have any information about the graco double stroller but I had it and it was horrible. It was so heavy to steer and push with both kids in it. It was like steering a huge bus. Hope this helps :)

I have used the fisher price jumperoo and my babies love it. I agree that babies shouldn't be in them for long periods of time but for short periods of fun time its great. I ordered mine from mumzworld and they delivered it quickly to my house.

I feel that you definitely need a stroller in the terminal. I have travelled with a small baby before and the stroller is a lifesaver in the airport. I used it right up until boarding at the gate. Sorry mine wasn't a Stokke so I don't know about it specifically but I had a big double stroller and had no problem at all checking it at the gate with emirates airlines.

I got my baby's flask from Galleries Lafayette. It's a good quality german brand named Alfi and it works great. Here's a link to the alfi product so you know what you're looking for: http://www.alfi.de/english/collection-alfi-vacuum-flask-isobottle_283/alfi-insulated-drink-bottle-isobottle-wild-jungle-05-l_3066.html?sid=53AFAF18-6CF3-48F2-97FD-1AF1DFA7E8A9

Thanks for the information ladies. I don't need Dr. Sanchita's phone number because she will be working in Abu Dhabi and I am living in Dubai. I was hoping she would be working somewhere in Dubai :)

We used to see Dr. Sanchita too and really liked her. I would love to know where she is working now. Also if anyone knows where Dr. Dardari is working now I would really appreciate it.

Hi, I have a mamas and papas swing and my baby likes it. The quality is good but I don't like that it only runs on batteries. Other swings can just be plugged into the electrical outlet which is much more convenient. I also don't like that the swing is really low to the ground so it means a lot of bending to put baby in and take out (not nice after a csection). After I had bought mine I noticed Graco swings in baby shop that were high up;about waist height which is much better and I think some run on electricity instead of batteries.

Hi ... the one I found best is the philips avent soothie from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Avent-Soothie-Pacifier-Months/dp/B004JCW3RS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1344694032&sr=8-4&keywords=avent+soothie

Thanks Perkynana! That's a great tip putting the playmat in the pillowcase for machine washing! It sounds like the rainforest mat is really popular :)

Thanks kiwispiers I didn't know that about the mats being washable ... The fisher price sounds much more practical ... I agree babies are messy and everything should be washable around them :)

Hi, I have used Dr. Browns bottles for my babies and I love love love them. Their teats are really soft which is great for newborns. Also they're supposed to prevent colic/gas with that plastic pipe that runs down the middle. The teats on the avent bottles are hard in comparison and my first baby had colic with avent bottles.

Hi Ladies, I wanted to know if in their past sales M&P put their baby playmats/activity gyms on sale. I wanted to know if I should wait until summer surprises sales start later this month. Also does anyone know where else they have playmats? I checked babies r us and they're out of stock of all except one type. Finally can anyone recommend a certain playmat from M&P or elsewhere that their baby liked. Thanks!

Hi Naaz, I ordered the Abdomend abdominal binder online before my delivery. They have one for post csection and another one for post vaginal birth. I really liked the material; it's a soft stretchy cotton that's not scratchy or too restrictive but gives good support at the same time. You can find it on amazon.

The peach blossom has a shorter body so it is easier to steer. My two year old definitely needed a stroller when we went out so I think you need a double. edited by Ymo2000 on 21/05/2012

Hi little zuzu ... It all depends on your preference ... The side by sides are harder to fit through narrow spaces but have better maneuverability. Also I didn't want a tandem because I didn't want one baby down under the other with no view and I'd have to bend down to reach her and maybe they would fight over who got the top or bottom seat. With the side by side both babies are up high close to me and I like that.

Hi ... I recently got the bugaboo donkey too and I'm very happy with it. Its very easy to push and maneuver whereas I read reviews that the city select gets hard to steer and push as the babies get bigger/heavier since its a tandem. The donkey had all the features I wanted but my only complaint is that it's big and heavy when folded but I guess most double strollers are anyway. I also got mine from john Lewis in London and had no problems flying it back with emirates airlines. I also found the just kidding price more expensive and they told me there was a wait list. I was really considering the peach blossom and city select but didn't want a baby under the other with no view like the peach and I was worried about the steering issue with the city select. edited by Ymo2000 on 19/05/2012

Dr. Browns bottles are great .... I've used them for a colicky baby and a preterm baby while breastfeeding at the same time. I preferred the wide neck ones and I order them off amazon and shop n ship them here.

Congratulations and wishing you a happy pregnancy! I also highly recommend Dr. Rosalie Sant and she can deliver at American hospital, city hospital or Welcare. I have delivered at American hospital before and am very happy with them. I took a look at city hospital this time but since I already feel comfortable with American I'm reluctant to change. This is the link for the prices of the maternity packages at American hospital: http://www.ahdubai.com/dynamicdata/main.aspx.

Hi, I have a triumph which I got from baby shop and it has the round clasp. I checked out the babies r us website and I see what you mean about the cheaper clasp. The round clasp is really hard for a child to open. My child has never been able to get out which is great but it's hard for me to open too which I don't mind. I do think the round clasp looks nicer and understand your point. You can just return the BRU one and get it from mothercare if it's what you prefer.

Hi, I had a Graco duo glider and it was horrible. It was a tandem and it was very heavy to push and steer. I have been recently searching for a new double and found this website very helpful with reviews of double strollers www.bestbuggy.co.uk. In my search I found that a new iCandy peach blossom (tandem) will be released next month which should be good. Also the bugaboo donkey (side by side) is out and popular. The Phil and teds are popular too and they have a new one out called the promenade(tandem). The city select (tandem) is very well liked also. There's also the mountain buggy duet. The stroll air duo (side by side) is similar to the bugaboo donkey but less pricey. The maclaren twin is lightweight for traveling but has less options. The bugaboo donkey is available here at just kidding. Just kidding also have the iCandy peach blossom but they have the old version which got bad reviews; the new version should be out next month in the UK. I think bumble bee in Dubai mall carry Phil and teds and mountain buggy but you have to check and see which models they have in stock. If you have someone flying in from the US or UK its better if they bring what you want because here we don't have a lot of choices for double buggies and they're usually more expensive. Have fun choosing!

Hi Mols, I didn't know when I would deliver but my ankles were swollen at my ob appointment that week so she told me to rest at home. That happened to be a few days before I went into labor :)

Hi DubaiCat, I have a maclaren triumph and its lightweight/durable and folds small which makes it especially conenient for travelling/airports. I don't like that the seat recline is a buckle which is inconvenient. Also keep in mind that the seat doesn't go to a flat recline but it reclines enough so that my child can sleep in it. I also feel that the shopping basket is small and hard to access. I suggest you check out stroller weight/recline/basket of the bee and compare. Bugaboo make good strollers and I've heard good things about the bee. Have fun stroller shopping!

I got non underwire nursing bras from a lady who was mentioned in this forum earlier. Her name is Loretta and she has a website: www.blushandbloom.com. Their bras are comfortable and nice quality and they have good, convenient service(they can visit you at home and measure you). You can check their selection of bra styles and prices on their website. Happy shopping :)

Hi ladies, thanks for the all the information and the article link. I have also registered at Latifa Hospital as a precaution as I have heard about trouble finding space in hospital NICUs at times. From the feedback it seems City Hospital have a really good NICU and its good that they are expanding from 12 to 24 beds. Still praying that I won't need the NICU :)

Hi, I saw Dr. Soraya for the 12 week NT scan and had a positive experience. She took her time and answered all my questions and seemed knowledgable and good at her job. She had a good attitude too. The 20 week scan should just be abdominal ; at least mine was. My main complaint was the long waiting time at fetal medicine so keep that in mind especially since you're driving in from AD. I had an appointment with Dr. Soraya for my 20 week scan but cancelled it because I couldn't do the long wait again. I had my 20 week scan at my own ob/gyn clinic with no waiting time. Wishing you a happy pregnancy :)

Hi Novice , I was also looking for international shipping and the only shop I found was Magic Beans in the USA but they charge a lot for shipping . They quoted me 500 dollars just for the shipping which is close to the price of the stroller itself! If you have family or friends visiting its a lot better if they can bring it for you. Happy shopping ;)
